The high street site has actually been selling garden equipment from the early 1930’s under the name Staughtons, who eventually set up Garden Machines as a sister Company. We are stockist for the majority of the leading brands of garden machinery and related equipment. The businesses current owners took over in 1972, and now second and third generations are involved in the day to day running of the Company. As with many high street stores, we realise that the way customers want to purchase and research their products has changed over the years and there is a real need to embrace the Internet; whilst very importantly still holding on to our core business values: Honesty, Dependability, Respect, Passion. Ordered a rope bag
Ordered a rope bag, 3 carabiners, and rope on 12/01/25
On the 22/01/25 email to say they are waiting for 2 carabiners to come into stock, which will be here in a couple of days.
04/01/25 The order was delivered yesterday and opened this evening to find 2 carabiners and a rope bag not delivered

Hi Robert, sincere apologies with the delay to your order. Unfortunately 2 of carabiners ordered and the rope bag were not in stock, so we part shipped your order so you could receive the rope and the remaining carabiners. There was an advisory notice on your delivery slip advising of the delay to these two items and their expected due dates.
Your rope bag has since come into stock and is leaving our warehouse today, the carabiners are due into us towards the end of next week .

Difficult to access and order from website
It was difficult to order the item. I could not access the website from my pc, probably due to unacceptable cookies, and they would not accept orders over the phone. I used my mobile in the end.
The courier delayed the item over the weekend but it did arrive eventually.

For your own online security we do recommend placing orders direct on the website or we can offer alternative payment solutions such as paypal invoices or bacs payments. But we're glad you were able to proceed through your mobile. It is possible your internet browser on your PC did need it's Cache / cookies clearing unfortunately.
