Was sent an email to review some software with the promise of gift vouchers if I took the time to do it. Got an email back saying one had been done previously, so I didn't qualify. Not sure why they sent me the email if they'd already had a review. Massive waste of time.

Read this before participating in an incentivized review
As a key user of a software platform, I was invited to participate in an incentivized review. On that basis, I made a genuine effort to provide a thorough, thoughtful, and honest review, assuming the incentive process would be handled correctly.
A few days later, as promised, I received a credit that could be exchanged for gift cards. Unfortunately, one of the gift cards, worth 50 EUR, did not work. It turned out that the card had already been redeemed long before it was sent to me.
I collected all relevant evidence and contacted the parties involved. The incentive was not issued directly by the platform itself, but by a third party provider, Tango. Tango acknowledged the issue and explicitly stated that it would be resolved within five to seven business days.
However, after that message, all communication from Tango stopped. Despite multiple follow ups and reminders, I never received a response. The stated resolution timeframe has now been exceeded by more than three times.
I received the inital faulty card 12-12-2025 (50! days ago).
I then attempted to escalate the issue via G2, as Tango is a customer of G2 and this was the only remaining escalation path available to me. Unfortunately, this did not lead to a resolution either.
What started as a professional and well intentioned request for an incentivized review turned into an unresolved case, mainly due to the complete lack of follow up from the incentive provider.
Based on this experience, I strongly advise against participating in incentivized reviews. When something goes wrong, accountability becomes unclear and the promised incentive may never materialize.

You might not get compensated for your time.
I received an email from my account representative requesting I do a review on a program that I use daily at work. I spent my time doing a thorough review and have not been compensated like I was told that I would be. My review was approved by G2 but their support team won’t respond to requests for an update on the gift card offer. Disappointing because the program that G2 uses to help you make the review was great. But don’t trust them to follow through with what they offer.

Smoke and Mirrors
I was invited to complete a review of one of their customers and my vendor 800com. If my review was approved I would receive gift card in 2-3 business days for my time. That was Jan 16th. My review was approved on Jan 27th, I saw my notes about this an checked the website and there was not a reward on my account. I sent them an email inquiring about the status of my GC and the email was returned as undeliverable.
1/28 I did a review on them on their website and said I was going to report them to Trustpilot. They said for faster approval I should share my review with LinkedIn. I emailed back a copy of their 1/16 email approving my review, and that I was glad I did not share my review on LinkedIn since I did not want to be associated with such disingenuous duplicitous behavior.

It's totally a scam to first offer me a paid review, and after I reviewed carefully, they said unfortunately i am not eligible to have a gift card.
Stay away from them and I will never use them nor recommend it to anyone else!

G2.ai is one of the worst experiences and hidden chaos
Recently i used the G2.ai platform to post my genuine reviews. It went well at the start of day one. Unfortunately, from day 2 onward, it was a nightmare. From day 2 onwards, my reviews were rejected, and I received an email stating it was a moderate review, considering that I raised a concern and a ticket with the G2 support team. But the response from G2 was as follows.
Hi Bopanna,
Thank you for reaching out about your review.
At this time, your review does not qualify for approval. This decision was made based on your G2 account information, review history, and other related data.
Due to the nature of the rejection, we are unable to share the specific details regarding why the review was rejected. We apologize for any confusion this may cause.
Hence i went back to the G2 over the ticket and asked for the reason, but they don't want to share the reason or feedback for rejection
Being a customer i never signed any kind of consent stating not to share the reason for rejection. It's my privilege to ask for the reason and feedback, also in mutual G2, responsible for sharing the feedback and reason as well. This is not confidential to hold the hidden things here
This response was agile to me, and I reverted, stating I will expose to social media Reddit
The final result and feedback from G2 is that they have suspended my G2 account for no reason
Which is really a "BOYCOTT."

big scam stay away
i bought a camo boost on warzone, it was for singularity and the guy finished it in 4 hours which is impossible, he guaranteed no mods/scripts were used. i then asked for a refund since it clearly wasn't as he advertised. now the website has restricted me from viewing any puchases, they have not contacted me in the "2" day period as they said. big scam wouldn't recommend

Don't pay as advertised!
Advertise paid reviews then after it gets approved say there will be no payment because it wasn't the first...
Totally misleading and should be made more clear, there was never mention of this.
Scammy behaviour

Draconian Review approval/disapproval practices
I tried to give a review of my hosting provider and because I do not want to "validate" my LinkedIn account, they denied the review. : Please be aware that G2 denied my review the first time primarily because I am unwilling to "validate" my LinkedIn account. Why I have decided to leave my Linkedin Accout "unvalidated" is for Legitimate security reasons. I have complained to them. Here is the ticket I left with their support in case you want to follow up: Case

Yes. I am very unhappy with you at the moment. I use Scalahosting for my [name redacted] services company which I just started in January. I am not for a number of reasons going to "validate" my account on LinkedIn. That you somehow cannot find my use of Scalahosting for my business and therefore will not validate my review of them for that reason is absurd. {URL redacted} I have their VPS reseller and their Scala 2 Shared hosting packages, as well as domain name reselling.
I took a screenshot of my page after I logged in.
If that isn't enough proof I don't know what else to give you. I will let Scalahosting know the hoops you make people jump through, however.
Please note that I also have {email redacted} as an email account.

"Exceptional Support and Features Make Reselling Easy"
What do you like best about ScalaHosting?
They have the best support team of any company I have worked with in IT. I have had horrible experiences with most web hosting companies I have dealt with. Not so with Scalahosting. I was hesitant with it being email only.. Figuring my request would end up in some queue somewhere and never taken care of.. Not so.. They respond nearly immediately, and is meaningful.. This was my primary reason for choosing them to start my web hosting reseller and design business.. Every interaction is professional, prompt, gets to the root problem. They have been tremendously patient with my many questions. And on top of that, their features are meaningful and truly what is needed.. It isn't easy starting a reseller business.. But they have made it as easy as it can be, all things considered.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?
Approaching a year, and I really haven't found anything to dislike.

Shady practices
My company uses a recognition program called Assembly. I logged into the program last week and there was a pop-up offering a $25 amazon card if I submitted a review of Assembly to G2 and it was approved. I submitted the review to G2 and then received an email that it was approved. Waited days and no gift card. After 3 complaints I received a reply that my review was never offered a gift card and that if I was then to show a screenshot of when I was offered it… you mean the pop up that offered the review reward needed to be screenshotted? How was I supposed to know that? Yeah im gonna delete my review now, what a shady process!

BE AWARE !Maybe they are stealing client Data
tried to submit an honest, fully verifiable review on G2 based on my own experience, including a screenshot that clearly showed my email, account, and subscription details. Despite all of that, G2 rejected my review without any meaningful explanation. I reached out to their support team expecting at least a human response, but instead received the same generic, templated replies that completely ignored the details of my message.
I thought maybe it was an error, so I rewrote and resubmitted the review—rejected again, with the same copy-paste response. When I contacted them directly and specifically asked them not to reply with a template, they still responded days later with another irrelevant, canned message that made it obvious nobody actually read what I wrote.
After that, I asked for a final response letter regarding my complaint, including how they handle user data under GDPR—what they collect, why they collect it, and how it’s used. I never received a single proper answer. My emails were simply ignored.
At this point, my experience with G2 feels extremely one-sided:
They demand detailed user data, but don’t clearly explain how it’s used.
They reject legitimate, honest reviews without any transparency.
Their “support” appears to be nothing but automated templates.
They make it nearly impossible to get a real human response.
As someone who provided genuine information and followed every rule, I find G2’s handling of reviews and customer data deeply concerning and completely unprofessional. My honest review was shut down, my questions were ignored, and the entire process felt unfair and dismissive. I cannot recommend a platform that treats reviewers this way.

Unclear, Overstrict, and Frustrating Review Verification
My experience with G2’s review process has been extremely disappointing. Even after providing detailed explanations, describing my usage clearly, and even submitting proof such as company login screenshots, they still kept asking for “more clarification” without telling me which specific part needed improvement. Despite giving every piece of information requested, they continue to reject the review and repeatedly ask to “elaborate more,” without any guidance on what to fix. This makes the process frustrating, unclear, and unnecessarily difficult. If G2 expects highly detailed reviews, they should at least communicate the exact areas that require updates so users can correct them properly.

G2 Misleadingly Marks Reviews as “Incentivized” Without Sending Rewards
Companies BE AWARE! They mark the reviews as incentivized and they dont send the incentive. My review was approved and is publicly labeled as “incentivized,” yet no reward was issued, and my rewards page still shows “review not approved.”
G2 Support told me I wasn’t “one of the first” to submit, despite the incentive being displayed upfront and the review marked as rewarded.
This is misleading and creates a poor user experience. Others should be aware before participating in incentivized campaigns on G2.
UPDATE: After G2’s public reply here asking me to open a ticket, I did exactly that using my G2 account (username: yasseral). The ticket was ignored, and shortly after, my access to the G2 Help Center was suspended without any explanation.
I created only one ticket, related to this issue, and there was no violation or spam of any kind. The suspension itself is extremely unusual and makes it impossible to resolve the reward discrepancy.
To recap:
• The review was approved and publicly marked as incentivized
• No reward was issued
• My rewards page still shows “review not approved”
• Support said I wasn’t “one of the first,” despite the incentive being displayed before writing the review
• After following their instructions and opening a ticket, my support access was disabled
This experience raises concerns about transparency around incentivized reviews and reviewer support. I’m still hoping G2 will resolve this and issue the incentive that was originally offered

Scammy emails and low quality review process
G2 emails people asking for reviews and explicitly stating they will send gift cards for it. No exceptions mentioned. You spend 15 minutes of your life on it and they say "sorry, you're not one of the first ones to respond".
Also, the reviews are heavily reworded with AI. I accepted them because I don't feel like fighting the AI and will take the cash incentive after spending my time, but I wouldn't trust G2's reviews if I was a consumer of the site.

No 25$ Gift Card. Avoid submitting your review at all cost.
I recently received an invitation email from deel & G2, as my company uses an HR app called deel, inviting me to write a review on G2 in exchange for a $25 gift card.
The message stated that once my review was approved, I would receive another email with instructions on how to redeem the reward.
I invested considerable time and effort in crafting a detailed, genuine review based entirely on my personal experience. I even attached a screenshot to verify my authenticity as a real user.
My review was subsequently approved, and I received an email confirming this approval.
However, there was no mention of the promised gift card or redemption process. When I reached out to customer support for clarification, I was met with a response stating that my review was deemed “not based on a genuine experience”. I therefore did not qualify for approval—even though it had already been approved, and that I had submitted proof of my usage.
This situation feels deeply misleading and unprofessional. I followed every instruction carefully, provided evidence, and engaged in good faith. Yet, not only was the promised incentive withheld, but I also discovered that even after deleting my account, my review would remain on the platform, beyond my control. (By neglecting data protection and user control, this service fails to meet modern standards. )
Such practices are deceptive and undermine user trust. I strongly advise others to refrain from participating in these so-called review reward programs, as they appear to be nothing more than a scam.
