I can not understand why I started with this website to watch anime, because I loved it at the start but everything is breaking each day.

Waste of time and money
Absolutely horid, it took us over an hour to watch a 25 minute episode because this sad excuse for a steaming service can't load worth a s***. Contrary to what they will tell you it is not internet, I am a gamer and our internet is the best we could get none of my other services have this problem. I can promise you it isn't your internet, they hide behind that excuse to avoid admitting they had a garbage service.
Ghosting users
I've been in touch with Luis O on “help at funimation.com, and the conversation was going back and forth.
Funimation is merging with Crunchyroll, and people are encouraged to move accounts. My Funimation subscription is due to expire in eight months, and at one point, Luis offered to carry my remaining time to the new service. In the meantime, I got a two-month trial.
I've emailed again, and I asked Luis about my eight months left that haven't been moved to Crunch as previously communicated - they said my case would be transferred to a senior team, and I never heard from them again.
I've sent a couple of follow up emails with no response.
the worst app to watch for sure
the worst app to watch for sure , the design of the app is trash and it runs so bad. every 2 min it stops a loads for a second. trash
Rubbish app
Rubbish app, change it back to anime lab. Literally removed all the good features, have un subbed and subscribed to Crunchyroll
Has it strengths and weaknesses.
As an online service, I actually quite like Funimation. It’s a good service for watching lesser known and bigger anime and smaller simulcasts. However, I mainly bought the subscription for it’s download ability. This is by far the worst I’ve seen. It lags, it’s subtitles, audio, and video haven’t been matched up more than a few times in my years of using it, and their often painfully slow to download episodes with them also having download size of a couple megabits. If you want a online service, for its price, I believe it’s worth it. For its offline, I wouldn’t confidently suggest it to anyone.
Something needs to be done
Something needs to be done, they buy out AnimeLab and just replace it with complete trash. Very few things make me angrier, it like they are trying to kill anime and make as much money they can off its corpse.
Terrible customer service, buggy website.
I had absolutely loved Animelabs/Funimation before the mix, once they had swapped over. I had an error with the billing and couldn't change my information or cancel it. I contacted customer service with the error and thery walked me through some basic troubleshooting. I had attempted to do what they had said. This was all early december, they emailed back they would escalte the case. I have been emailing them once a week to check back and have not heard anything since. Absolutely terrible customer service, it has been 3 months and i cannot access any of my paid content.
The only streaming service that buffers on gigabit
The only video streaming service that somehow manages to repeatedly buffer on a gigabit internet connection. I use 7 services and funimation is the only one that buffers or gives me any issues. Not to mention the years they spent with an outdated and buggy video player and their dwindling catalog. Not looking good out here.
buffers constantly
buffers constantly, my internet is 80 mbps up and down, when piracy websites load perfectly and the paid service doesn’t then you know it’s bad
Horrible on the ps4
Horrible on the ps4
It freezes constantly and I have to completely restart the app just for it to happen again in a different spot, or it will randomly skip to the next episode halfway through the current episode after the ads play
Dog water streaming platform that makes…
Trash streaming platform that makes you pay for premium in order to continue a show you’ve been invested in, absolutely embarrassing for them
Buggy website where login works 5% of the time
Buggy website where login works 5% of the time, the website hates VPNs it seems as well, sometimes doesn't even load properly at all (mind you I have 1 Gbps optic internet, it's definitely not the issue) tested on several browsers. The UX of the website is extremely badly designed and the website is very unclear as to find certain features or settings for the account. The anime availability, especially dubs, is amazing, but it's all futile if I can't even use the service properly.
Good luck trying to cancel an order from their shop
Be careful if you make a mistake and need to cancel an order with Funimation's shop. I ordered the incorrect My Hero Academia vinyl through their e-store. That's on me. But, their website said to email their store ASAP, which I did. I emailed them moments after I placed my order. No reply. Emailed them AGAIN. No reply. Automated message that my item has shipped. Emailed them AGAIN, because the tracking number said label created, but not shipped out. No reply. Then I see the product is indeed moving. Emailed them AGAIN to see if I could return the record once it arrived at no additional charge, because I had done my due diligence and emailed them several times to try and get my order cancelled. Still no reply several days later. Disappointing customer service, and I won't be ordering from their online store again. I have advised many, many others to seek out alternate stores for their fandom goodies.
*FRAUD ALERT*
*FRAUD ALERT*
Funimation will not help you if someone hacked your account and changed your email so you'll be paying with your subscription for a stranger to use your service. Funimation will not even send an email to verify or notify of your email being changed.
I recommend using any other service other than funimation due to this security risk. The support system will not help you.
Not Worth It
Like many others, I was forced here from Animelab, it took weeks transferring the account as it wouldn't let me. When the account finally transferred I couldn't even log onto the app... Still can't. Now with my XBox it has logged itself out and claims the password is wrong.
This streaming service is absolutely…
This streaming service is absolutely unacceptable. I am able to stream Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ flawlessly at 1080p but somehow I am unable to stream more than 6-10 seconds of any show on Funimation before it requires just as long to buffer on the lowest setting. On a good day the Funimation service might only buffer 8 times per episode.
The lack of updates shows how little this company seems to care about their product. I would think, at the very least, with this company being owned partially under the Sony umbrella that it would be atleast optimized to run on my Sony Playstation 4 without issue. I feel like this should be an embarrassment for Sony. This company would do the world a favor by shutting down and letting a competent streaming company acquire the streaming rights it holds.
if I could rate it any lower I would…
if I could rate it any lower I would this was the worst decision I've made in my life and I've made a lot of them it buffers constantly I would have a better time getting my grandpa's old ass tv and watching on there than watching on Funimation they should have left animelab on their own they just bought it and messed it up this is the worst possible site I've ever been on I'd rather watch anime blind then haft to deal with this.
Constantly buffers
Great selection but terrible service. Videos constantly buffering lucky to get a minute of continuous play. I have high speed internet for gaming, no issues playing games online or streaming from Netflix, Disney plus or prime, but unable to get a decent service from funmation. Massive shame as their library is good.
Good shows and a variety of them but…
Good shows and a variety of them but the app itself is very poor. From not being able to use the favourite list due to it not registering or accepting most shows I select to then issues with the ‘continue watching’ section. I used this section as a temporary favourites list as the other method didn’t work and I’ve just logged in to see a bunch of random shows are now on my continue watching list. Shows I’ve never seen. They seriously need to sort the app out on the Xbox and iPhone
