I am very disappointed with how FSB handled the end of my tenancy.
FSB ended my tenancy stating that the apartment would be renovated. Despite this, after I moved out I was still charged for painting and cleaning, which is difficult to understand if renovation work was already planned.
The apartment was a 3-room, 79 m² unit. During winter, mould appeared, which was clearly related to the building’s condition and ventilation, not misuse. I took responsibility and cleaned the mould thoroughly myself, carrying out a very deep cleaning before handing over the apartment.
Even so, FSB charged me for cleaning, without clearly documenting why my cleaning was insufficient or what additional cleaning was actually necessary.
They also stated that only about 2/3 of the apartment would be painted, yet I was charged around 8,400 DKK, which feels excessive for partial painting—especially given that the apartment was supposed to be renovated anyway.
Overall, the process felt unfair and non-transparent, and I was left with charges that I strongly believe do not reflect the actual condition in which I returned the apartment.
I would strongly recommend that future tenants document everything carefully, especially cleaning and moisture-related issues, and be prepared to question move-out charges.
