Con artists , they’ve found a way to obtain cash from customers by subterfuge. Particularly the elderly
My disabled elderly friend placed an order with JML which was ok then received a confirmation of a subscription to froogul.co.uk which they did not subscribe to for the sum of £29.99 per month we canceled the subscription with the help of their bank
Didn't know if had signed up for a subscription when uou try and sign it says send you a magic link to your mobile nothing tried several times nothing so have emailed you have opted out but if you don't refund me then as soon as its come out of pending I am disputing the payment I see nothing about subscription it just said 15p on my card
Robbing company avoid at all cost so refund or I will take it in my own hands as your website doesn't let you do much
REFUND MY MONEY AND CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION!!
My 83 year old mother with Dementia was scammed into paying for a monthly membership fee of £29.99 a month.. when emailed froogul of this and explained she has dementia and lives off her pension they refused to cancel the membership fee... what a bunch of #*!*#*@... I would NEVER RECOMMEND THESE THEIVES..

My experience is much like all the others listed on this site, I noticed a transaction leaving my account today an amount of £29.99. I bought something from JML and apparently I unwittingly signed up to this company by providing them with a password. I was advised by a very unpleasant man at Froogul that I was sent an email and should have cancelled by replying within 16 days I never saw this email which was sent 17 days ago and he advised me that I will not be refunded as it was not the company's fault , the onus was on me to read my emails. I will be taking this further and I will make sure JML are also held to account for promoting this company which has dubious trading methods.

Absolutely appalling organisation! My 90 year old mother - in all innocence - called who she thought was JML (a trusted brand) - to order a product. Three days later all hell erupted - Froogal started to request money from her account and only by a series of fortunate events, her bank flagged them as suspicious transactions. Many hours and MUCH anxiety later her bank has recalled the transactions. Disgusting exploitation of older and vulnerable people.

Reply from Froogul
Sadly the people who need to read these reviews the most won't see them. They scam the vulnerable charging an excessive monthly subscription for a sham of a service.

Avoid at all costs. Don't buy anything advertised on your from tv, as they exploit the old and vulnerable
Like so many other people leaving reviews the same happened to my mum. My Mum is in her 70's, bought a product from JML over the phone after seeing it on the tv, totally unaware she had been signed up by the person on the other end of the phone to this shopping offers site. No letters to say she had joined, as my mum doesn't have an email or smart phone. My mum didn't notice that they had been taking £29.99 a month out for the last 6 months. Rung bank and got this cancelled reported as fraud because thats what it is. Total SCAM working hand in hand with the shopping tv shows and adverts

My husband phoned JML to order something and was told he would receive an Amazon voucher for £20 and to cancel the subscription when received.
Then he received a text from bank who were querying a payment of £1.99 to Froogul. He phoned bank to confirm he did not authorise transaction. The bank subsequently did not pay out this amount cancelled his debit card and sent a new card. Received a letter from Froogul on 20/10/25 stating he would automatically be charged £29.99 per month. He did not bother emailing or phoning them to cancel subscription as (a) according to other reviews people got nowhere with this and (b) they can try getting payment but it wont work as he now has a new card. Will not be buying from JML by phone again! If this was indeed JML's fault then they should be ashamed.

Bought a steam mop off Thane UK. all online .A hour later someone rang me and said would I like an upgrade. I thought for the item I purchased I said no. The call was unsolicited , Thane are giving out my telephone number to a 3rd party. I have now discovered my account has been debited with a years subscription to Froogul. Never heard of them. I rang the them, they refuse to return my money and said I could cancel it but lose my money I am now £99.99 out of pocket. Disgusting. Never buy anything off Thane UK.

Scam! 85 year old signed up unwittingly by giving a password. Her credentials don’t work to unsubscribe…..
SCAM! This company scammed me a year ago and took £99.99 from my bank account without communication or permission, following a purchase from Thane. I resolved this issue but they have done exactly the same 1 year later with no further purchase. Surely this is theft? Avoid at ALL costs
For all the reviews linked to the scam by SHOP ON TV & FROOGUL
free amazon voucher for £1.99 admin fee
£99.99 subscription scam…
Please please please contact your bank they will dispute this on your behalf
Don’t let these thieves get away with it and get your money back!
I bought a pressure washer from JML and I have at the moment had£1.99 taken from my account. I was asked for a memorable word and I think that I was given a voucher for Amazon. The phone line was poor. I will wait and see if I actually get my goods.
BEWARE SCAMMERS!!
Avoid at all costs.
Like many others my Mother bought a product from JML over the phone and was totally unaware she had been Conned by some smarmy sod into signing up for crappy shopping offers, which after 14 days would be JUST £29.99. Tried to register online with the username they sent her so I could cancel and surprise surprise I couldn’t register or login. Phoned them and surprise surprise no one answered, although to be honest I’m sure they’re extremely busy dealing with furious individuals and relatives of all the people they CON. Informed the bank to stop any extortionate future transactions from these thieves. Please avoid!!!
My poor 70 y/o grandmother was panicking when she found out she was being charged £29.99 by this company. She had to no recollection of signing up during her purchase through Shop-On TV, as she would never sign up for this subscription. I had to console her, try to fix this through the phone (as she called me), and with the website not responding, I have no way to go through the process with her. She even got perfume samples she NEVER ordered, as she isn't a fan of perfumes.
I have to travel across my country so I can sit beside her, go through it, and try and find a way to cancel this before more money is taken from her account. If the other reviews are anything to go by, no wonder this company continued as far it has. I've never heard of a company using a password as a confirmation for a subscription, nor have I heard of a company automatically transferring without asking if this is a service they'd like to sign up to before transferring.
I will be updating this review once I go through the process with my grandmother. Avoid at all costs, even ShopOn-TV.
This company has just taken £29.99 from my account and I did not sign up with them.
I bought something on shop tv and then had a phone call offering a free gift for £1.99 I was then asked for a password (I never received a free gift )what I did get was money taken from my bank account £99.99 I never gave permission for this phoned shop tv they said there was nothing they could do and gave a phone number when I called this number it was FROOGUL a company I never heard of they said I had subscribed verbally as I had given a password I didn’t think giving a password consults to taking money from bank they will not refund I am very disappointed with shop on tv to allow this to happen it tarnished their reputation I will never use shop on tv again
