Usless program

This program is a scam.
It says that it is free, but you have to pay for it. I payed and to my surprise, when I install it, the EOS Utility I use to download photos, loses the connection with the camera. I have to uninstall the Freeshuttercounter drivers and Re-Install the EOS Utility again.
Also, that data returned is very limited compared to other programs.
I wrote the customer service, but no answer was ever returned. Money sent down the drain.
Don't use, and don't even think of paying for it.

Don't even think about installing this…

Don't even think about installing this program. I tried it on my Canon 1Dx and it only red the last three digits of 6 possible - obviously useless so I uninstalled the program but now my ordinary Canon program for downloading pictures among other thing (Canon utilities 2) doesn't work. My computer can't detect my camera through the USB port anymore. I have uninstalled the Canon programs that comes with the camera, restarted my computer and re-installed the Canon programs without any success. I never tried my 7D mkII on the Freeshuttercount and this camera works as it should on my computer. My Canon 1Dx works fine on another computer so obviously the Freeshuttercountdown program has left something on my computer that blocks the function of my 1Dx and I can't get rid of it.

Misleading

Misleading. It's "free" but you don't get your shutter count until after you buy it. Before then you only see the last three digits - XXX123.

Garbage

Garbage, garbage, garbage. Uninstalled, won't ever recommend. Requires USB driver, installed that, now it works even less. This is garbage and a waste of time. Google should remove you from the top of the search results.

It's not free

It's not free. You have to install software, install drivers and then connect camera. Then you have to pay to see the shutter count. Totally misleading and dishonest. If had given me the cost before I started I would of paid, but not now.

I confirm all the negative opinions that I have read on this page. The software is called FREEShuttercount, FREE is even written in upper case!
But when we want to know the number of triggers, we can only know the last 3 digits. To have the full number, you have to pay $ 7, very expensive for FREE software and that we will most certainly only use once or twice in his life ...
And I have a principle, I do not buy anything from liars!

It is marketed as FREE, but it isn't

It is marketed as FREE, but it isn't. The free version shows only the last three digits of the count. Earlier digits are shown as ?.

To get the actual shutter count you have to buy the full version. However you do not find this out until after installing it and updating USB drivers as necessary.

The charge is not very much, but nevertheless this is the sort of dishonest marketing that I dislike. If it was marketed as "SHuttercount" at $7 I might have bought it. But as it was marketed as free when it isn't I will not be doing.

FreeshutterDONTcount

Purchased the Freeshuttercount software to get the count off my camera. Used it once successfully and had t worked since. EVERY attempt to contact
them or get ANY kind of help has met with total silence. Requests for refund or even technical support have been ignored. I haven't even had notification that my MANY emails have been received. Waste of money and Waste if time. DON'T BOTHER WITH THEM. USELESS.
