I had a very poor experience with Fredericia Kommune Borgerservice.
As an EU citizen, I know that a yellow card is not required to handle basic registration — a valid passport should be sufficient. However, the staff refused to proceed and did not even properly review my documents.
I was given no real help or clear explanation, and it felt like they were unwilling to assist at all. Because of this, I had to travel to Odense, where everything was handled quickly and professionally without any issues.
This was the worst experience I have had with a public institution in any country. The lack of competence, respect, and willingness to help was very disappointing.
I hope this office improves its service and treats people more professionally in the future.
