I have used their website a good few times, which has been a great experience (I primarily purchase large cardstock), and the price is good.

Last week I needed some the same day, so I went into the store in Manchester. I have to say that I encountered around 6 members of staff across the multiple floors. On entering the first lady, rather than saying hello or even smiling, looked at me as if to say 'what are you doing here?, an absolute look of disdain.

Then when I asked for some help, the same issue. Even at the till, not once was there even a hint of a smile from the cashier or her colleague who I asked about photo paper.

I will continue to use the website, but I would never use the store again.

I would also like to note, I never leave reviews for anything, but felt compelled to do so this time as the service was so poor.

Ordered 9 14ml pots of Revell paint.

For whatever reason the order was split but both parcels arrived very promptly and communication was excellent.

I did though consider £7 postage a bit steep. Main delivery cane in unnecessary large box as did *single pot" which came separately. Appropriate smaller packaging would half the cost. I get it that probably standard charge but unfair when ordering small items.

Found this company by accident, really pleased I have. Fantastic service and products. Delivered and packaged beautifully and super quick. I will definitely be purchasing from them again.

A lovely online shopping experience. I ordered three items, but was sent a polite message the next day saying that two items (two of the same thing) weren't in stock after all. They apologised and refunded the unavailable items. Unfortunately this left me paying shipping for just the one item, which made it a bit excessive, so I replied and asked if I could cancel the whole order for this reason. Another quick response to say that the item had been dispatched but the shipping cost has been refunded.
It's always possible when shopping online that mistakes might happen with inventory and availability, but the ability to get immediate friendly personal customer service is gold dust for me!

I wish I was in Manchester to be able to shop in store - apparently my dog would be welcome too ☺️

Unfortunatly, I had a problem with a product I had purchased from Fred Aldous. I e-mailed and explained what was wrong and within an hour I had received a reply and a confirmation that a replacement had been dispatched to me.
I am so impressed with the service I received.

I bought two photo frames from Fred Aldous’s website. One of them turned up with the glass broken. I emailed customer services who replied almost immediately & were apologetic & sent a replacement one immediately. It’s rare to get this level of customer service these days & I was very impressed. The product was great too

I love this craft shop! Such a treasure trove of amazing finds. One of my favourite places to visit. Always brightens my day!

Thankyou so much, a new lino damaged but now its invisible thanks to these markers, was so surprised how much true to the colours they were.Needed 3 similar colours as its a wood grain effect.Cheers !

Outrageously expensive. Buy your art supplies from anywhere but this company and save money. A shame because it would be really convenient.

First time ordering from this company and was very impressed. The items were dispatched the same day and arrived swiftly and in good condition. They have some great little items that I can’t get in other places (such as variety of music boxes) that I use for crafts. Will be my go-to store for certain craft items from now on, thank you!

I have been coming to this store for 4 years ever since I was a student. I never had any issues until very recent months, they have been really weird with their exchange and refund policy. Each staff will treat customers differently to the next, some days they have no problem doing exchanges and even an extra exchange on top. But also refunding an exchange, I had multiple occasions where staff was more than happy to do it. That being said, on other times different staff will say it’s not possible without any explanation or would make up some rule that I never read on their website nor heard from other staff. Makes me wonder if there is favouritism in clients or they are just poor at following their own exchange and refund policy. Either way, I don’t appreciate from being a very regular customer for many years where I would get all my supplies for my business. How each time it’s out of chance to get a decent service now, just to add couple staff act like your a nuisance to them. It just makes me not want to go at all and buy everything online or try Hobbycraft.

Store in Manchester - confusing till layout. Did not know which queue to line up in and staff laughed in my face, cashier at checkout acted cold and like customer was a nuisance.

Excellent range of products but customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff project an attitude that the customer is more of a nuisance than someone to be served. Not so much rude as 'off-hand' and can't be bothered. If I can buy what I want else where then I avoid the place.

I found this company on google, as I was looking for Plastic canvas for my wife's box making, after being let down by another company, never used them before in fact to be honest, had not heard of the company before, I placed an order for 20sheets of the plastic canvas last Friday well after their cut off point of 12-30 so did not expect dispatch until today, but later on Friday I got an email to say the goods had been dispatched, by Royal Mail and this Morning at 10AM our postman arrived with a box containing the plastic canvas, that is what I call Fantastic service, we did not expect this parcel before Wednesday, so whoever works for Fred Aldous and sent this parcel out well done you are a credit to your company and we will certainly be using your company again in the future, my wife has already given your company's name to 3 of here friends who all do different crafts and what a fantastic selection of crafts covered by this company, again well done Fred Aldous Manchester Branch

Was after some balsa blocks for a craft activity with kids. Online store was easy to navigate, found just what I wanted, and order was completed in minutes. Items were promptly despatched and delivered much quicker than expected! Highly recommended!!

Before Covid I shopped at the M/C shop where service and goods were always very good. More recently I have shopped online several times and been extremely satisfied with the products. They are always carefully packaged and delivery is very quick, whether it's just two or three small items or a larger order. Recently I inadvertently ticked 'click & collect', emailed the shop and received a reply and help almost immediately. Excellent service and thank you, Serena.
