I've had my system for 3 years now
I've had my system for 3 years now, and not one single problem. I have had a recent upgrade to my Energy Cubes, and charging off peak via the app has saved me several hundred pounds per year. Win!
Zero Customer Service
Very disappointed in customer service. The system works fine for an entry level system. However my supplier (Arise Solar, read my review) have been acting unethically. Short version is they are remotely limiting my system. I have repeatedly called and emailed Fox Ess Australia with zero response. I have now had to remove my data loggers to stop remote access. This is very frustrating as I can not effectively monitor my system and it removes my right in using it as per my daily needs. Extremely disappointed, what a waste of money. I now have to regularly check the physical inverter and make adjustments manually. I regret my purchase as I had been happy with them until this point.
Fox-ess is Very affordable but not reliable

But now I can see why, on hindsight I should have paid little more for a better brand

Three months after install still not working.
Three months after install the Fox system still doesn’t work. Unable to charge or discharge batteries. Installer passed me to Fox who are trying to help with slow but continual email assistance. I have little faith and wish I hadn’t started this journey, very expensive install and I am not seeing any savings. I will continue to give them a chance but not feeling optimistic at this time. It will be interesting when I ask them to retrieve the install and ask for a refund!

Had foxes system installed less than a month ago. The WiFi dongle has disconnected from the WiFi & won't reconnect & my installer wants£120+vat to sort it out. Have just researched this issue & it's a common problem with these dongles & modern routers. Shouldn't the installer perform due diligence on this issue & make sure they're compatible?

My generator has a dongle to transmit info via wifi, it broke about year into ownership, the installer, and fox are impossible to contact and get it fixed, cheap crappy products here don’t expect support.
Unreliable and rubbish customer service
My installer assured me that Fox ESS was the system to have. I wanted a give energy. System was in just over a year and failed. The RCD kept tripping. It took six months and around £500 in engineer fees and I reckon £500 in lost generation. Fox blamed my electrician for fitting the wrong RCD when my house was rewired. Kept fitting larger and different RCD. Issue not resolved until my installer replaced the inverter. I would not buy Fox again. Do not buy this product.

Had a system fitted over a 16 months ago that worked as I should then it went down after 3 months so i called the installer out who contacted fox after hours of hanging around on the phone waiting for call backs and videoing tests they agreed to replace faulty inverter no idea of when it would arrive but eventually a few weeks later it arrived the installer finally fitted it while I was away on return found the batteries were down so called the installer back to go through the same process of hanging on for calls and sending videos again waiting for replacement that didn’t happen chased multiple times even re video faults to be sent out fuses to be changed in the batteries which took around 3 months to sort now 10 months on the batteries have failed I got a new installer to check it out as I had lost faith in the last one not pushing to get things moving .
The same process with the new installer hanging on for calls video sent then we’re going to replace but nothing sent despite him chasing and being told it’s with R&D department can’t tell you any more sorry in his words the worst company he has dealt with . I’ve been sending tickets asking what’s happening quoting the original ticket number they issued to receive the automatic response saying we will get back to you in 2 days but no response again
You can’t get anywhere with this company screened calls no response to emails they have got your money and want you to spend more or go away
Pathetic Customer service
Pathetic Customer service. I tried calling for Tech help and the Account manager did not even bother calling me back and then gave me every story under the world on how they haven’t received my calls. I would not deal with a company that has no respect for its customers. Sorry!!

I wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole. incompetent and have no dessarrer to look at any issues raised by the customer.

Low end , dirt shit cheap battery . Donot fall for this cheap crap 💩 Regret buying this shit end battery and installer doesn't want to cover warranty. He already been to site 7 times.
Stick to Good batteries like Goodwe , Sungrow , tesla or Sigenergy .

My system went down 3 weeks ago tried contacting them got a great person of the service system but he even failed to get through and find answers to my problems. They said they would instigate a RMA for my problem but 2 weeks later nothing, tried calling the same as others but no luck, they don’t speak to real people only give you an email and that never gets answered, it’s about time our government or other service should stop this from happening
A failing service
Sold to me as the market leader. If Fox ESS is the market leader the UK solar industry must be collapsing. Very good equipment, long quarantees but if the system doesn't function all is for nothing. We depend on Fox ESS to update all the software. Happens in the background as does the system. Should be fit and forget but with Fox ESS you must check daily to make sure it is still working. Either they are not interested in supporting their equipment or there are so many failures that they cannot keep up. My system has been down for at least a month but only found out two weeks ago. All my solar output has been lost. Thank you Fox ESS.
Beware of other people experiences.
I have a complete Fox installation that stoped working two days after completion of the work. Batteries and hybrid inverter were send to the local distributor and for more than 10 days I am waiting for the equipment to replaced and properly installed.

They simply never bothered to come back to me at all, when you have spent many thousands on their products that is about as bad as it gets.

I've been installing Fox for almost 2…
I've been installing Fox for almost 2 years now, switching over from SolaX because I kept getting let down by a lack of UK support and Fox has been much better. Their products are easy to install and the app works well for customers. There are things that need to improve such as ease of reconnecting to new routers without installers having to drive out and the app data needs looking at sometimes.
Service in OZ is crap
Service in OZ is crap! when I first contact company they said they will get someone in OZ to contact me. nothing at all. very disappointed. three time I contacted them with no reply.
