You get spammed with all kinds of…
You get spammed with all kinds of surveys that pay nowhere near what they say. These surveys are also very inappropriate, including some asking for your child's exact birth date and other personal details, and unless you do, you cannot proceed. Avoid, avoid, avoid. If you find a survey, that's okay; they don't pay you unless you have completed 10 hours of it or so; then maybe you get paid $10-20 that is redeemable via a gift card or so.

If you want to be endlessly spammed for other survey sites
I had read some good reviews and seen a few recommendations for this survey site. So, I tried them out. And like many of the sites like it, Focus Group starts out strong and then falls flat. You really have to be in the major cities that they list, otherwise, disqualification is high.
What really broke this site for me, was all of the "survey" emails that were just redirects to other survey sites. I get a "personalized" email from Ms. Goode almost every day that just redirects me to Earn Haus or Toluna instead of an actual survey.
When you go to their site, Their studies are literally links to other research sites.
It literally screams scam
