Still waiting for a refund on non-delivered training
Training booked and paid for in 2019, course in Nov 2020. Needless to say cancelled due to the pandemic indefinitely, never to be set up in the location again. Now they’ve confirmed they will not fulfil the course that I booked in the location they offered a refund back in early February. It’s still not been received! They’ve already had the money for 2.5 years, wondering if I’ll ever see it to get the training elsewhere.
Very Bad Experience
My company sourced Focus-On-Training to provide the BCS Data Partitioners course for me and the experience hasn’t been good to say the least.
When I was asked initially to review their website, I saw that it was out of date – They listed the old style exam (This had changed about 6 months previously). I had to get my training department to confirm that it was the new style exam to which they did and then they updated the website.
They proceeded to send the details through for the foundation course instead of the practitioners course – Again not very professional and combined with their outdated website I wasn’t impressed.
However my company had chosen them so I had to proceeded.
They outsourced the training to Cyber Skills Training Limited – I don’t know what checks they do on their sub-providers but needless to say this didn’t end well. The trainer provided by Cyber-Skills in my opinion wasn't knowledgeable enough to teach the course. He read the slides out verbatim most of the time and added no value. Not enough time was spent on topics - other training providers state the data practitioners course is 5 long days of learning. With this trainer we finished at 3.40pm as we had already covered half of day two's content. This level of speed is reflected if you just read the slides and not add any context to the topic.
Two people pulled out by lunchtime on the first day and then the course was cancelled before the start of day 2.
The initial care shown and mistakes made by Focus on training in my opinion is reflected on their choice of training providers – The is probably very little quality checks done to ensure the customer is getting a quality service as I suspect this is money for them to take the booking and let someone else do the work.
I invested a lot of time to get the week off to do the course and to be in the situation I am in now is not acceptable.
am now regretting booking my training…
am now regretting booking my training through Focus on Training which will be delivered by QA trainig. I've paid for the course received the confirmation email. I now have to create a portal account with QA training, which I don't want to do, to access pre-course work that the confirmation email said is attached.

To coerce/channel customers into creating a portal account, they are making other options to access materials difficult, slow and cumbersome, not to mention replying to emails with the stock template answer of create an account on the portal.
Totally inflexible
Booked a course for one of my test team and over a week before the tester advised they cannot make it due to family issues. Try and rearrange and focus on training want us to pay the full amount twice. We have a lot of people in our business who need training and absolutely none of it will be done through focus on training.
I would difinatly book through you again
Prompt responses and excellent service
Payment process not clear enough and didnt sound nice when you sent email saying " deadline of payment is tomorrow at specified time and if you didnt receive the fees you will give the seat to someone else" !!!
That wasnt really nice, you should consider time differences between countries and send a kind reminder for the payment before the course week or call the any kind way and suitable for both partners ,,
Overall was good experience
Good course, admin was haphazard
Initially booked on course for w/c 12th August, but it was cancelled and moved to the following week, giving me difficulties with other arrangements I had made. I had been advised that the course would be in a city centre location, but it was not, making travelling more complicated. Despite having paid for the course up front, it took me a lot of chasing to get the exam voucher - both Focus on Training and Architecting the Enterprise said the other party was providing the voucher. After quite a number of e-mails and an ultimatum I received the voucher. This was more than 2 weeks after the course, meaning I had lost the momentum of the course and the information that is held in short term memory after a course of this nature.
The course was good - very comprehensive.
Trainer was fab!
The trainer was great my only issue is I still haven't recieved my certificates yet. Please get someone to call me.
Cheers

Great training, Great prresentation, Great location
The training I received was excellent, well presented and I enjoyed the week.
Booking process met expectations
I have booked three courses through Focus on Training, I have done two so far and the booking and directiones etc were excelent.
Was prepared and able to put everything in to practice straight away
Great course, facilities, value for money, well prepared for using everything I learnt in the real world
no added value
not sure what added value focus brings as they did not do the training or communicate anytihng about the course to me. nor did they advise me that the training would not be held at the advertised premises where i booked my accommodation, so cost me a lot in taxi fees. next time will probably book directly with the training company. will be quicker and more direct.

Professional, Friendly and helpful
Easy transaction, booked, attended the course then passed the exam.
Although not the cheapest online but still good value for money. I would used them again and would recommend to friends.
Overall, the experience was good.
Great communication and support throughout the process
The process of selecting and booking was straightforward. I received regular communications providing all necessary details including logistics and pre-work for the course. A problem I had was resolved efficiently.
