I signed up with Florence thinking I would be able to get the odd shifts at least once a week, or so. Paid for DBS to be waiting since September 2025- March 2026. If I wasn’t accepted why let me pay for the DBS out of my pocket to be reimbursed when I complete my first 2 shifts. Pls the process is a gamble. You have to pay for dbs upfront without knowing if you will be accepted for shifts. Not worth losing £61.00 for an unsure situation. UK one
Incredible support and understanding
No help whatsoever whenever you have problems at the location.
The same “we are sorry” and nothing to resolve the problem NOTHING!!
Is basically if you don’t want to be there because is really bad you risk to be suspended or if you have another shift there that you don’t want to work because of safety concerns you need to cancel it and get your rate down in the app.
Rate that goes down not just for reliability but the performance during the shift as well.
The only good thing is that they have shifts in my area but otherwise no support at all.
I was posted to a great care home where the carers & senior carer were very supportive.
Worked with a good team , got supported and didn’t find myself lost. Am so thankful.

The shift was okay. Care home staff were supportive
The staff of are quite lovely. They work very hard to meet the needs of their employees. There is a good liaison between Florence and most of the care homes they work with. Infact, Florence is very supportive to people everyone who is seeking to get onboard with them.
My first shift experience with Florence was great I worked with a reliable team at ferrylee home care. The induction training was helpful and great
It took me time to become a member of the Florence team but it was worth every single wait. The verification process was thoroughly done and I did my first shift which was very good. Good job guy.
System was simple and easy to use and communication has been amazing if I had any issues if they weren’t answered the day I asked I would receive a response very early the next day
They have good supportive staffs who are accommodating and friendly.
