I have tested FlixiCam again after the new update in version 3.1.1 and have to say, it looks better! But let's start from the beginning. You can download and install FlixiCam from the official site flixicam.com. Installation is as usual simple and uncomplicated. At the first start, the Netflix Login Screen appears… just log in here and you're ready to go. However, before you start downloading, you should take a look at the settings. The icon for this is located at the top right. Here you can set whether you want to have the videos in MP4 or MKV format, as well as video quality, which is divided into low, medium and high. Furthermore, you can specify the default audio language, as well as whether you want to save the 5.1 surround audio track. Here is an improvement request from me, that you can set several default audio languages. Most of this should already be set to the system language by default. However, you should check the output folder, as it most likely needs to be changed to avoid filling your system disk with videos. Among the advanced settings are video codecs, i.e. H264 and H265, as well as proxy settings. But now to the actual program. With the update 3.0.0 in September 2023, the interface has been completely overhauled. The basic turquoise-white look has remained, but the interface for searching the Netflix videos is now an actual browser, so it looks like the actual Netflix interface, and is no longer as sterile as it used to be. This also eliminates the option of changing the Netflix profile in the settings, since you can now switch between the entire profiles back and forth as in the browser at the top right. The big download button at the bottom right is also noticeable. On the homepage of Netflix it is grayed out, however as soon as you start a video it becomes turquoise and thus clickable. This allows you to indirectly control whether you want to use FlixiCam partially only as a Netflix player or download the video. In my opinion this is a very positive change, because FlixiCam is no longer just a download program. If you start a movie or series and click on the download icon, a list with the episodes of a series appears (as you already know it from before) or the extended download settings for a movie. In these advanced settings, there are three tabs Video, Audio and Subtitles. Under Video you can select the quality/ resolution and the bitrate and thus automatically see the video size. For audio, you can select the available languages, bitrate and audio codec. For subtitles, logically the available subtitles. A nice thing about this is that the so-called Forced Narrative subtitles are also available. There is also the option to save the subtitles as internal, external or forced subtitles. The forced subtitles are those that are firmly rendered into the video. Here, logically, only one can be selected. The encoding is quite fast and the result looks good, corresponding to the Netflix quality. So much for the functions. Unfortunately, a disturbing thing with some movies has not been fixed for more than a year. E.g. Minions & More or R.I.P.D. is only downloadable in 480p/540p, but the resolution in the player looks much higher.
In spite of this small thing, FlixiCam deserves its 5 stars, as it fulfills all the features you want around a Netflix downloader.

Waste of my time downloading and trying to use it (it takes forever to install). They claim it downloads Netflix AND Amazon videos, when it only supports Netflix. Blatant false advertising. No option to sign in to Amazon Prime Video, despite their claims saying you can. I have no time for BS marketing scams. Steer clear.

FlixiCam offers an excellent product. The software is easy to use and download. I find their prices to be fair, and I like that they offer a "lifetime" subscription. I never liked paying monthly for a service like this, so I was pleased to see this type of offer. Also, their customer service is stellar. They get back to their customers right away and provide detailed responses. Even though I have never spoken to someone by phone, they were helpful in their e-mail communications with me. I would definitely suggest giving this company a try. Netflix is always changing their offerings, and the FlixiCam service helps to make the Netflix fees worthwhile. What I like best about this service is that you are able to change the language of the video and also include subtitles embedded in the video. I searched for this type of service for a long time, and I definitely think that I found the best one. Even if you don't know much about computers and the internet, I am sure that you will find this service easy to use. The software can be navigated by anyone. With just a few clicks of a button, the video is saved to your computer. Also, it is of excellent quality (the same quality on both Flixicam and Netflix).

I have ordered and paid but have not received my licence code yet. I have also emailed support with no feedback yet. I urgently need the licence code since I’m going on holiday and need to do the downloads today!

After writing a review for the demo of FlixiCam, I had the opportunity to test the full version. As far as I can tell, in the full version, only the five-minute lock is annulled and you can download as many movies and series as you want. Activating the program was very easy, entering the given mail and license key via copy-and-paste and everything works. Let’s start with the positive things about the program. First of all, FlixiCam provides many good and useful features like choosing between multiple resolutions and bitrates. Most of the time per resolution, you have three different bitrate types. But to be honest, I would always choose the highest resolution and bitrate to archive the maximum quality Netflix can offer. The file size depends on the length of the movie but one hour film equals about three gigabytes incl. audio. In average at 1080p, the video bitrate is between 5.000 and 6.000 kbit/s, which is about an eights of Blu-ray quality. Just as a little comparison… In the settings, you can choose if you want to save the surround sound audio by default. In combination with the highest quality setting, the best surround sound audio in the set language is selected. The bitrate equals 640 kbit/s. Additionally a 192 kbit/s stereo audio layer is also selected. As a little note to the developers, maybe change this feature, that if the option to save 5.1 audio is enabled, only the 5.1 audio track is selected, because most of the time the audio with worse quality isn’t needed anymore and if you want to download it as well, you can just select it. So, just a little quality of life change. Another cool features are the subtitles. You can download forced narrative as well as normal subtitles. Forced Narrative means, every text in a movie/ series which isn’t your selected language, will be translated into your language. Only exporting the subtitle(s) or audio track(s) is also possible, which is pretty cool. Both are exported in standard formats like srt for the subtitles and eac3 (Dolby Digital) for the audio. You can play the exported mp4 or mkv video on nearly every modern television and pc (idk about apple products, but should be, if FlixiCam also sells license keys for mac). Unfortunately, there is still a little problem. For some movies, there is only 480p quality in FlixiCam available, even if the movie on Netflix is in 1080p. The problem has been sent to the devs, but I didn’t get any answer from them yet. This bug or API error is annoying but solvable with time. 5 Stars anyways!

Lately, I tried the demo of FlixiCam about two months ago, so I can’t tell anything about the payment. After you logged into your Netflix account, you are able to search for any movie or series to download or you can type in the link. After clicking the download icon, you have the option to modify your download. There are several resolutions available, but I don't know who would download in 480p, but a nice to have feature. Unfortunately, the download length is limited to five minutes play time in the demo. The result is pretty good (I mean, it's Netflix quality) and it’s a trouble-free mp4 or mkv video file. Subtitles can be saved as internal or external (for example srt) subtitles and you also have the opportunity to save the forced narrative subtitles, which is a very useful feature in my opinion. If we talk about useful features, you can also decide if you want to download the entire video with multiple audio and subtitle streams or if you only want the audio or subtitle. The downloaded audio file will be exported in Dolby Digital (ac3) and the subtitle in srt format. In the settings you can change the background between light and dark mode, as well as the language for the program. Setting a default language to download is also possible in the pop-up settings menu. In this menu you can also change the download path, quality, encoder and many more. There is also a library function to see and directly play your latest downloads, sorted by ‘today’, ‘last seven days’, ‘last 30 days’ and more. Because I don’t have the Netflix 4K subscription I can’t tell if you could download any movie or series in 4K, but from what I read 1080p is the maximum quality available to download. Unfortunately, there is still a little bug. It causes that you are able to download some movies only in 480p and or only in 192kbits audio quality. I hope this will be fixed in the future.
All in all, for now FlixiCam is a serious Netflix download service with multiple functions like access to the entire Netflix catalog, multiple resolutions, as well as multiple audio and subtitle streams, which is in my opinion a very useful option. The HUD is very handy and tidy and I can only recommend this program.

I came across Flixicam while searching for a Netflix video downloader since I wanted to save some series and movies before they would disappear on Netflix. Before using Flixicam, I used a different program to download content from Netflix. However, this program did not fully work and the contact with the developers was not very good since I was offered no solution even AFTER paying for a license. I have now switched over to the free version of Flixicam, which allows you to test all of its premium features. Here are my thoughts so far:

In the short time that I have actually used Flixicam, my experience has been great, 'cause it actually works! The download speeds seem to be very fast compared to the other program that I used. The quality of the video and audio also don't seem to differ from the Netflix website which is very nice. There are also many different options for you to customize your download (like the video resolution and the audio quality, it even supports Dolby Atmos 5.1+ audio!) which is something that I very much appreciate since I don't need the highest quality version of each movie or episode. That means you'll be able to save some space on you PC while still having good quality content to watch offline. An also nifty feature is the fact that you can download an entire series without having to select each individually episode itself, which is very nice.

My only criticism point would be the price tag of the program (it's a bit more than the Netflix subscription itself). However, due to the fact you get to KEEP the content makes it worth for me.
