Don't be Fooled by Generic Emails from Flick - They really Dont Care

No Customers Service, let your fingers do the walking. Get other quotes it will save you money!
After reading our negative post regarding our experience and lack of customer service Flick sent us their generic email asking us to forward more information, we sent all the information needed.
I’m now lost for words on how this company treats loyal customers of over twenty years and clearly there's no communication between the staff members so what was the point of them asking us for the information?
On Friday 19th January around 11.34am whilst I was at work, I received a call from one of their staff members to remind me that my service is due.
I thought she was calling to apologise for our recent experience but instead she began to tell me how the price had gone up and again when I tried to explain asking why she was calling me given the lack of services I have received thus far. I asked her why it was so expensive she said that the price had gone up and again I told her about the quote I had received.
She then asked me to hold the line, this guy then got on the phone he again began to tell me my service was due and that the quote had expired I told him there was no expiry date on the quote and he said the price would be $385.00 for the inspection and $800.00 for the termite chemical solution.
I tried to seek more clarification from him and again, like the previous Manager before it was a waste of time, I'm wondering if this is how FLICK asks its managers to treat customers.
I understand there might have been a price increase however I’m sure Flick would be buying in bulk and could pass some of the savings on to their customers but instead they continue to target the vulnerable and loyal customers.
I'm very upset and angry about this whole experience I sent them an email about it and to date received nothing......Flick DON'T bother pretending that you care about your customers when you read negative posts as clearly you don't care!!!!
I have since had the work done at half the price Flick were going to charge me.
WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND FLICK!!!
Do your homework and get other quotes, you'll be glad you did.
PS Remember the best form of advertising is word of mouth.
Like I said before in my first Review - you can Flick Off Flick!!!

No refund and No cooling off period

On Sat 13.01.2024 I booked for a Gold complete control, planned to be carried out on Wed17.01.2024 to my house.
They said it is to be paid by direct debit $77.98 monthly and deducted the first month amount on 14.01.2024.

Then I called them to cancel due to rain. They said that I would NOT get the money back, even if I cancelled it? Is it a fair rule?

Poor quality Service

For the first time we got our residential property serviced by Flick for ants, spiders and cockroaches on 15th Oct 2023. Within two months there were ants and spider activities within a metre from the property. I contacted the Flick service department on 19th Dec 2023. Despite I was promised that someone will get back to me regarding booking a re-spray of our property I did not hear from Flick. Then, I contacted Flick again on 4th January 2024. To my astonishment today I was informed that their outdoor treatment does not cover any warranty.

In the past we have had our property treated for ants, spiders and cockroaches for over twenty-five years by Rentokil their outdoor treatment and indoor treatment was always effective for a minimum of twelve months. If the ants and spiders returned outdoors within three months mostly due to rain, they always came and resprayed our property without any additional cost. It appears it was a costly mistake going with Flick a company with inferior service quality. A lesson learned.

Terrible

Sunshine Coast Qld, Took over a local business and did not attend my premises from handover in March 23, have always attended monthly & invoiced following day, sent me 3 invoices, I received Friday 23 June 2023, 5 business days before end of financial year with a debt collection threat, when I questioned it and asked for evidence they had in fact attended my property as per the contract and copies of emails where these months of invoices were sent previously to me, I was contacted by phone by the Branch Manager who would not listen to me, had no interest in providing evidence when I said I was happy to pay when I received the evidence, was condescending & stated he was happy to take me straight to collection as they are a multi million dollar company, intimidation. Steer Clear !

Nothing went wrong with the service…

Nothing went wrong with the service except after taking up their offer of monthly payment and being assured that this would be the end of it, they continued to deduct a higher amount and despite many phone calls have refused to refund 2 of the falsely deducted payments. Not happy

Evan was very thorough and…

Evan was very thorough and professional. He took the time to explain how the pesticides work. He was also very patient with me while I tried to juggle organising clearing the backyard with dog toys and putting my dog away and my 6 month old daughter.

I have been with this company for a couple of years now and have never had trouble with spiders, bugs etc entering the home.

Appalling customer service

This is the second negative review I have left for Flick in the hope that one day they may actually be able to resolve the incorrect charges that they repeatedly send me with payment demands, which were created by them AFTER my contract ended. I have had multiple emails from different departments of Flick promising a resolution but no actual end to this problem which has been ongoing now for 7 months. The company is very poorly organized and cannot process simple requests. I would never deal with Flick again based on this experience, too much hassle.

Didnt use the service. But they dont listen.

Didnt use the service.

Recieved a cold call and then an email, not sure where they got any of the information from.

I'm on the do not call register.

Emailed them back and told them not to contact me I wont use any company that cold calls.

Next day started receiving emails with promotional material

If they cant listen at the early stages they arent going to care later on.

Charged Double Poor Service

After booking my residence in for its yearly termite inspection and chemical re-charge the person on the other end of the phone said he needed to collect the money for the chemicals that day, a month in advance of the service. I refused! said I would pay after the service had been completed. After a number of please hold I need to check with my supervisor, they finally agreed.

The service took place and I thought everything was fine. On checking my credit card statement, I noticed that I had been charged twice. I tried to contact Flick, but the office was unattended over the Christmas break, so left my number for them to return my call. They finally returned my call last week, Thursday.

They said I had to formally request a refund, to which I replied you must be kidding! You guys made the mistake and now you expect me to request a refund, does not make sense. They eventually agreed that they would process the refund.

It is now Monday the following week, still no refund. Rang the office and they informed me they process the refunds once a week on a Tuesday. They did confirm that my request had been put through.

Very poor customer service, they have had the use of my money since the 24th November, interest free. Whilst its not thousands of dollars it is quite a large amount. I cannot understand when they can charge you any day of the week, but can only refund you on a Tuesday.

On another note they have also charged me my monthly subscription, but have not completed the pest control that this charge is for. First time they came it was too wet, the second it was too windy.

I would not recommend using this company and am looking for an alternative for my property. My problem is that I have a termite treatment that was originally served by Anticimex, I presume before Flick took them over. I am not sure who in Sydney can provide this service. As soon as I find someone I am going to kiss this company good bye!

Previously used MLC Pest

Previously used MLC Pest , never a problem with them . Now bought out by Flick . Had pest spray inside and out . Spiders still present in garden to sane extent as before the spray . Rang after Christmas break as done just prior . Informed they do not cover the exterior after service done upto me the customer to chase down the guy who did the job under Flick name . poor customer service to a once loyal MLC Pest customer!

Flick Wasp Treatment and Customer Service Pathetic

Flick took two weeks to come to my property and rescheduled the day before. The technician arrived and informed me that he was anaphylactic and could not treat the wasp issue. He did our annual termite inspection and told me another technician will come at a time to be confirmed. He charged for the full amount. The next day another technician arrived and due to cold weather the wasps were not active. He sprayed into the whole and a few wasps died and fell out. He left me a can of wasp spray and left 30 minutes after he arrived. He told me to call if there were any further issues but had no card so told me to call the main number. The next day wasps were everywhere again. I called the number and they told me they would get back to me. I sent an email and no reply so I treated the wasps with a powder from Bunnings and all appeared to be gone a few days later. After two phone calls and two email no response from Flick about my $300 for a can of bug spray. I completed a survey and they called me. They refused to discuss or refund me for the inadequate wasp treatment. Very poor customer service for a long time customer for our annual termite inspection.

Great Business, Fantastic Service!

We have used Amalgamated Pest Control/Flick for a number of years now and there is no doubt why we use them year after year. Their technicians are prompt, courteous, friendly, and most importantly, professional. This is a company that has not forgotten what “Customer Service” means.

Scammy Shady Business Practice

The builder of my house had the land treated for Termites 4 years ago, per the criteria the house needs to be inspected every year to qualify for warranty, this costs $220 dollars for a man to come to your property to tap on the walls and press a moisture meter on the wall to see if there are any moisture, this process takes less than 15min. So basically it's insurance to have this process done in case something happens, and that's okay. Until this year, I was told the inspection is due and the gentleman came and did his business, I received another call a day later saying I'm due for a $2000+ Trench and Treat as advised by the gentleman that came to inspect the day before. I was told that usually it would've been done every 6 years, but due to an change in policy by the Australian government, it's now every 4 years. By this line of logic, I asked whether if this would have been required whether an inspection was done or not, and was told yes, as it's government policy. So I asked whether if I am still covered for this year at least because I spent $220 bucks the day before, I was told NO because I am not going ahead with the $2000+ trench and treat. It's shady business practice because now I decide that I do not want to go a head with this trench and treat and waste $220 bucks for no reason. Had I was told prior to this inspection that an Trench and Treat is required and is due because of government policy, I would have not wanted the inspection AND the treatment. This kind of baiting business strategy is disgusting.

Terrible services. Deserves 0 Star

Terrible People at Flick Cairns. Technicians never keep timings. They arrive at different timings from the ones informed by the schedulers. Found technicians Tresspassing on our premises without informing or announcing their arrivals. Found Roaches were present in the warranty period. The technician attended but did spray only in the kitchen area. He did not visit whole house and was out within minutes. In fact he was more interested in having the food my wife was cooking which was generously offered by her, Cockroaches were still found after a week. So had to refer it back to them. The same technician came back but this time he did resort to bad mouthing and mis behaviour right from the doorstep. I tolerated his Verbal Volleys for a while, but when he started misbehaving with my wife, this dis respect towards woman was intolerable by me. To thia I told him to behave himselves or leave. When this was reported to the manager, he withdrew the technician and refused to send another technician.

By refusing to send another technician the manager had dishonoured the services contract and warranty period.

Customer services seems to be non existence, no contact information for customer setvices is provided. When I reported this on their Face book page, some one made initial contact on Face Book Messenger but after my first response to him, he has stopped responding to any further communications. I have tried communicating with some one at the head Office in Sydney or Melbourne but unable to get through because there is no customer services for such a big company, no wonder the regional manager is adamant and deffiant.

Must say no one seems to care at Flick once they have got your money and once you are locked in for a Year.

Was negotiating Termite Barriers quoted at 5K + with this company and was thinking to start from July but I am very happy that I got to know about them early On. Moving out to another company.
