It didn't load on my computer. A waste of $40 for one month of nothing. Then I find out that it is a subscription that automatically renews for USD$80 or CAD$100+. My fault for not noticing that the item I purchased was a forever not a one-time purchase.

ordered fixmestick and it would not load i requested a refund and i can not get a response also there is no phone # to call so that i can talk too.

The fix me stick would not run on my computer. So I asked for a refund and I would send it back to the company. Guess what? No refund!

I am surprised and amazed to see 1 or 2 stars reviews for FixMeStick and StartMeStick. But if you buy it from a retailer or in my case from The Shopping Channel (Choice) I have nothing but positive experience from the customer service and and a toll free telephone number which is on the packaging. The ones I got from TSC, the FixMeStick came with a life time guarantee along with 3 PC's and the StartMeStick came with a life time guarantee with unlimited PC's. I have used several FixMeSticks for years now and recently purchased a StartMeStick, as my P.C. was acting up. My P.C. finally stopped working, the hard disk became faulty, but I could still start the computer. The StartMeStick came to my resque and I can do almost everything. The stick works on the Linux and Chrome platform. If one is IT savvy it will be a breeze, otherwise there is a learning curve, the customer service is helpful and will help you out. They are even willing to connect your PC remotely and try to fix the problem.

DO NOT buy from this company unless you want to be trapped by their Automatic Renewal Policy. As soon as I opted out of Automatic Renewal, they immediately ended my subscription. The money I paid them was completely wasted since I did not get any use out of the FixMeStick I bought. What a rip-off!

Customer service is nonexistent. I have been a Fixmestick customer for years, and when I purchased Startmestick by mistake, I was ignored. I used both Chat, and the support email, and I was given generic responses about auto renewal, over and over again. I pleaded for them to read my message and discuss the real issue, to no avail. There is no phone #.

I would like to change my review from 1 to 4. Since writing the original review FixMeStick has cancelled the renewal and refunded my money. If you cannot use the product and are no longer using it. Take the time to check your account and make sure that you don’t have the auto renewal on.

I purchased a Fixmestick and apparently there is a automatic subscription renewal attached to the purchase without a warning that the new subscription is coming due. The very day it was charged to my credit card. I cancelled the subscription. I contacted them now they are only offering a 50% discount and I will not be able to use the product.

They set you up with auto renew without asking. Then they renew it without any notice. Any other subscription service sends an email weeks in advance so you can see if I want to continue. Once it hits your card it's too late, according to their "policy"! Their response is you should cancel auto-renew before it's due. They bank on people forgetting the date they bought it. Oh, they're in Quebec so you can't file a complaint with the BBB. In 2024 the BBB threw out some Canadian Provinces for not adhering to BBB standards! Go figure!

Avoid FIXMESTICK at all costs! The product is flawed and is a waste of time and energy.
They have now taken to an auto renewal scam, whereby they automatically charge your original payment type without notice! Upon complaining to the so-called company, you are denied a refund outright.
This kind of underhanded activity indicates a business/product in trouble and likely headed for bankruptcy (no actual proof)
Don’t waste your hard earned money on a do-nothing product. There are several other reputable companies with proven track records to choose from.

Total scam. Got the device 5 years ago. Did not work as promised but the kicker was yearly charges of $44.99 for a device I no longer have. Scam and difficult to cancel.

Like other comments here-below, Fixme stick has charged my credit card an auto renew subscription fee without prior warning (email with 48 hours of the auto renew charge). I had previously cancelled the auto renew while using the Fixme stick device via the dashboard/account information in the onscreen device platform. However, I didn’t know that Fixme requires customers to cancel auto renew using the customer’s online account (website). I have disputed this transaction with Fixme stick immediately upon receiving the PayPal transaction email. I received a reply from Fixme stick with 24 hours telling me that the auto renew subscription charge cannot be refunded/reimbursed. I filed a dispute with PayPal and I will file a dispute with my credit card company as soon as the transaction posts to my account. I’ve been a loyal customer of Fixme stick for over 10 years now and NEVER had this situation happen to me before. This auto renew business tactic is relatively new. The Fixme stick company should at least send customers a “warning email” 48 hours prior to charging them for a subscription renewal using auto renew. Furthermore, I especially frustrated because in July and October of 2024, during the Amazon Prime Day deals event, Fixme stick solicited me by email offering a 50% off deal as a “chosen” loyal customer!! I chose not to take advantage of this deal due to money problems and now the Fixme stick company using their auto renew tactic charged me full price for a service I don’t want! Due to this very frustrating experience, I will immediately cease being a customer and stop referring this company/product to my friends and family members.

The first review I read on trust pilot about fixmestick is exactly what happened to me, auto renew with no warning. I wrote within 30 minutes of the charge and canceled 7/22/24 & their response is they will cancel me 7/22/25 AFTER they charge me again next year! WHAT A SCAM Fixmestick is. First stick didn't even help my computer issues. What a joke these folks are! Why would I want to consider any of their other products.
And renewal at a discount? My charge this year is MORE than last year! LIARS, SCAM SHOW.

This company uses bad practices. I tried the software last year and it did not work on my PC. so I chalked it off as a loss. This year they charged me for auto renew with no advance warning. I don't use the product and have contacted them about it and they will not refund my money. This company is shady.

i bought fixmestick at HSN. it was a lifetime purchase. it worked for years. now when i try to download it , it will not work. i wrote the company and was told it should work. when try again. it says that the stick is empty. nothing downloads. i think that since it was free for life.they want me to buy a new one that is only good for 1 year.

$71 from PayPal auto renewal which'd never Approved or knew about! Fix me stick is giving me trouble getting my money back! Not An Honest Company!!

Computer stopped booting after I probably downloaded a suspect PDF program. FixMeStick was run and found nothing. Computer tech came to my house and ran a Kaspersky program...I had a Trojan that FixMeStick never found. FixMeStick was good for about 2 years after its introduction, but since then, all downhill and NOBODY uses it if they are a professional computer troubleshooter.

I am not getting any service from the fixmestick team. I have been emailing for a week and a half after which time I finally got a phone number to call. I had asked for someone to call me, but they provided a number to call. I waited on hold for over 20 minutes and then was only given the option to leave a message. After 3 and a half hours, I have not received a return call. Fixmestick needs a stick to fix their customer serice. Please call me.

Didn't work on my 2021 laptop. Called customer support and all they did was give me a run around. They told me to take it back to the store where I bought it from for refund. When I brought it back they tell me FIXMESTICK is supposed to refund me. Like I said they gave me a run around 3 times and I gave up. I'm out 70.00 for a flash drive that does nothing! DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!
