I wanted to move money over to them just to diversify my holdings, logged in, and 'voila', no accounts could be accessed. Found out they closed them. They had my 'same' phone number (yes I kept it for years) and updates on my address, but never informed me that they had 1.) sent me a check and closed my account. 2.) until two days ago, never ever used my phone number until I reported them to the FEDS for stealing my money because they refused to 're-issue' a cheque because the one they sent never came to me ever. Bigger isn't always better. On another note, when I was in their neighborhood I had asked them about popping my money into a C.D. account, one of their people said; "Oh, I'll get right back to you" but never e-mailed or called. Lucky moi! I wouldn't park used gum there at this C.U. Just a couple years ago they had such an egregious security breach of customer's accounts because of their ineptitude, allowing someone to hack them. When that happened during COVID, the lines were almost around the block for people trying to get 'new' accounts due to the breach. Anyway, for Portland 'morons' this would be a good place to do business, but like Riverview C.U., another 'toilet' C.U., where I was supposed to be able to get ATM fees waived per what they told me, they never did. All in all it was a cloud with a silver lining that they in fact closed the account. I can only imagine how robbed I'd feel if tens of thousands of dollars suddenly went 'missing' and no phone call, no notification, no nothing, and certainly in the case of the 'no cheque' to replace the one they still owe me..I think I'd be catatonic had I actually put any money of any sizeable amount in there for their safe keeping.
Only good point was their 'share branch' transactions made them feasible, but I'd not recommend them ever. They still haven't settled up with me by issuing a new cheque for what they owed me when they closed the account without notification. That's very sadly another scam, knowing full well that a lot of others most likely got rooked just like I did. Stay away from these guys.

HAD FRAUD ISSUE AND THEY FROZE MY ACCOUNT CANT GET MY MONEY OUT IT UN BELIEVABLE CANT GET MY OWN MONEY OUT DO NOT GO THERE .
THEY PASS YOU AROUND WHEN GET TO CALL CENTER WONT GIVE STRAIT ANSWERS.

This is my 4th car purchase with first tech and by far the most unpleasant.
Several missconications in gathering initial information. No follow ups. And alot of effort on customers end to put this whole thing together. A whole two branches in that matter.
Attention to detail is second to none. A simple instruction as "pull monthy payment from my first tech checking" took a week to address. Unless you are experienced with car loans and how they flow through the bank I would strongly stay away.
