Wh'y not just advertise 'theft' at your cost.

I ordered an iem from fifty plus. It was to be delivered to a local store. I got to the store, with PIN and ID only to be told. 'too bad' come back later, don't know if its here, all sorts of things. When I pointed out it was delivered earlier in the week I got 'so why you not come then?' in a very aggressive manner. The man showed me the parcel and refused point blank to let me have it. Thanks Fifty plus, you are a pack of thieving .............s, so much for convenient pick up, not at Kiran Supermarket Wembley. Have been down this road with other companies, did not realise you lot were part of it. THANKS FOR RUINING MY XMAS.

Excellent company

I can honestly say that the goods I have received from fiftyplus have been excellent quality, packaged very well, and very easy to track once ordered.
I am so glad I have discovered shopping online, and will continue to use this site.

Happy.

Ordered an embroidered cream cardigan and blue checked shirt for my in-laws who elderly grnadparents and they were perfect. Delivery was quick being so close to Christmas. Sizes were what they said they were and quality was good. Would rate 5 stars after another one or two purchasing experiences with FiftyPlus. A better range of garments than Bon Marche for example.

Great company, fast delivery, quality products

This catalogue is amazing, all the items that I have purchased have been good quality and I have had no problems, The clothes that I have ordered for myself have been delivered promptly and of good quality, have had many good remarks from family and friends. This is an ideal way for me to shop as I hate going to shops and having to spend ages trying things on. Very time consuming.
I would recommend this catalogue as you can buy almost anything and the prices are comparable to the high street on most items,

Failed Delivery Email but Delivery Still Arrived

Update: Amended from 1 to 3
The same afternoon that the 'failed to deliver' email arrived, the parcel turned up at nearly 5pm. Happy ending but with that heart-stopping moment of anger described below...

I received two emails telling me that while I 'was out' on Saturday and today (Monday) they tried to deliver the goods but couldn't.
1. The goods were due to be delivered to work - an office - so it was closed on Saturday.
2. As for Monday... I sit near reception and the front door. The office had been manned since 8am but no one even tried to deliver. When I looked again at their 'failed to deliver' email, I realised that they'd left out half the delivery address which would rather explain it.

It would be nice to think my deliver would arrive later this week but I'm not betting on it.

dodgy bank transaction listings

purchased four items incl postage. arrived on time (all sale swimsuit items). Didn't really rate selection. I am 55 but found it old fashioned. What REALLY annoyed me is that on my bank statement the items appear as four individual transactions (one being the postage?)....WHY, the balance showed as one total so why process them from my account individually on my statement. Not impressed.

Really badly run system

Dont expect the usual kind of turnaround we expect these days, 3 days, 5 days? Nah still waiting into the second week! First problem the free delivery code didnt work, rang them, promised to refund the £3.50, this after several items supposedly in stock, were out of stock after i'd paid and processed the order.
Second complaint, they offered me a 15% discount code as an item was not going to be coming...spent an hour searching for some new items...guess what code didnt work so would have been charged full price! Gave it up as a bad job complained, reply was like a wild goose chase on a merry go round.
This was my third order, the first two were quite satisfactory for single items and i was pleased, dont know what has gone wrong in the past few months but i would not recommend them to anyone with so many other better sites out there these days

I wish I had read these reviews first - shoddy and amateur

I'm still waiting for my order, 2 days beyond the delivery time they had promised.

Someone was meant to call me back this afternoon - nothing from them.

Their customer service people seem well-meaning but useless and couldn't tell me if my order was even on the way, nor give me a Hermes tracking number.

The live chat promised on their website hasn't been there most of the day and the customer service number is an 0871 premium rate. Shoddy, shoddy, shoddy.

6 weeks on and still waiting on the return of money for dress I returned

I returned a dress I paid for in full £95 when I realised weeks after they had not retuned my payment , I phoned to find out what the problem was I was assured it was an over sight and would instantly reimburse me .annoyed but happy to have what I thought resolved only to discover 2 weeks later i had not received this money, I have phoned again today to be told it was activated to go through but it didn't and was assured again that it has been done, as you can imagine my faith in this promise is I'm not holding my breath I will wait the 3 days that Keith the second person I have to trust ,and will follow up with my conclusion of this company .my opinion at the moment is they are quick to take your money and judging by the other
complaints, threading you for money they think owed to them, different
story when they owe you. I will stick to the high street from now on.companys like this do not do there selfs any favours !,

Shoddy purchase !

I ordered a "beautiful" paisley fleece for my poorly elderly mother and paid for next day delivery as I thought it would give her a boost.
It arrived this morning and was awful. The paisley pattern was out of focus so looked awful-unfit for anyone to wear. The colours weren't right either, not pretty at all !The quality of fleece was really poor and wouldn't be comfortable at all to wear.
It's the first and last time I'll use this company-a dead loss.Avoid at all costs.

Dishonest rip-off merchants so avoid at all costs

I bought an item, paid for it by return cheque that was cashed. I then received a demand for payment of that bill, plus interest for unpaid sum. Next I received a letter telling me that as I hadnt returned the signed credit agreement and wanted to "spread the costs" (yes, the cost I had paid in full) they are going to assume I wanted the credit agreement so was now bound by its terms. Then followed more demands for payment of my settled bill. No one reads my letters, and phone calls cost the customer 13p per minute so a nice little earner for 50+. I am now hoping they go to court as i shall be asking for costs (time at say £800 per hour - well why not? plus postage etc).
Worst mistake of my life to get involved with this rip-off dishonest bunch.

PROMOTION CODES AND FREE DELIVERY FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ARE A JOKE

I recently tried to purchase a pair of pyjamas from Fifty Plus as advertised in a newspaper supplement. The advert in the supplement stated Free delivery to new customers. The website stated enter a promotion code for 20% discount to new customers. I did not expect both of these offers but when I went to the website checkout neither of these discounts showed. I contacted their "chat" advisor and explained the problem. She suggested I order anyway, pay! and try for the discount later!. I explained this was not acceptable.
I then emailed the customer services enquires and after 9 emails, (each time I followed their instructions for entering promotion codes), and each time the checkout said this "this code is not currently available".
It would appear although the customer services try to help their system is glitched.
I have wasted a lot of time trying to buy a pair of pyjamas, which I will now buy from my local store at the same price with free delivery and no hassle.
A very frustrating experience and a complete waste of time as the problem was never resolved by their customer service team or "chat" advisor.

Faulty lace on dress and jacket

I purchased a lace dress and jacket near the end of last year for a special occasion. I wore it once, cleaned and put away till this year's party season. On looking at the item there are elastic threads coming out of the seams and it can do longer be worn. I contacted Fifty plus who advised it was out of the 12 month guarantee period and there was nothing they could/would do. I wrote back that the dress was not fit for purpose because of the faulty fabric and that does not end after a year. There only response was the original one. So I am now left with an outfit that needs to be thrown away even though they have admitted on the review site that they had the same fault in this year's stock!! Buyer beware and check your garnet before putting away.

Shoddy customer service

I ordered a wardrobe, received it but no screws, handles, dowels and brackets-classic!
I contacted them and they said they would be with me in maximum 3 working days-fine, or so I thought. 7 days later I received brackets and dowels, no handles and no screws. After several phone calls and 'live chats' if transpires handles and screws were not order, good job I saved the transcript to evidence that I had requested them. Their error.
I was then asked what size are the screws! how the **!!??// am I suppose to know that-unbelievable. I have been told they will be with me in 2-3 working days, I'll believe it when I see them. God knows what size the
screws are going to be, I'll probably end up going to Wicks.

Terrible company and their interest rates are astronomical-do not set up an account with this company.

UPDATE
Parts just arrived 2 odd screws (need 24 but not sure has didn't get assembley instructions) and one handle for a two door wardrobe. I'm loosing the will to live!!!!!

Disappointing merchantise - no size less than 12 in petite section - no size 3 shoes

Good service - poor quality fabrics - inferior sizing and measurements but may be I ordered from wrong catalogue. Have to return all three items sent. Goods in main catalogue look superior to that I first looked at in small catalogue but for a petite person - all useless and I would have thought that a size 10 in petite section would be a "must" and size 3 in the shoe section necessary. Do you just cater for fat people and giants? I did, against my better judgement, order size 12 thinking that maybe it could be a small 12. Obviously no use to me so shall not bother again

Hard sell bullying tactics to bamboozle the consumer! Stay well clear

Hi,
I was recently with my mother who has been experiencing mail order scamming at an alarming level. Whilst I was with her she received two calls from this company on one day, in regards to her buying insurance to cover any orders that maybe lost in the post. Having read other customers letters below, I do believe this is another scam. I have instructed the company to remove all her information from their database and stop harassing her on a daily basis. I will be pursuing this further to the full extent of the law.
The other company to be aware of is Delices & Gourmandises - total rip off merchants.
