I had a very disappointing experience with FDM.
To be fair, the manufacturing process itself seemed like it went well. My custom yoga mats and yoga blocks were produced (I was told they were produced) on time and were handed over to 'their' nominated shipping agent without any apparent issues. Up until that point, I was happy with the service.
Unfortunately, everything fell apart once the shipment "reached my local port".
My "goods" have now been stuck for almost 8 months, and throughout this entire period, FDM has failed to provide me with the information I need to investigate or resolve the issue myself. I have repeatedly asked for details of their shipping agent, contact information, shipping documentation, or anything that would allow me to follow up independently, but I have received virtually nothing.
Every time I ask for an update, I get the same response: "Two more weeks." After nearly eight months, that answer is simply not acceptable.
Because I have no way of contacting the any relevant shipping agents or customs representatives, no one, I have been left completely powerless while my products sit somewhere unknown. This has placed enormous financial pressure on my business. As a small business owner, I cannot simply reorder thousands of dollars' worth of stock while waiting indefinitely for the original shipment to appear.
My advice to anyone considering using FDM is this: arrange your own freight and logistics from the beginning. Then you can make sure that your products are real, and are actually delivered to their final destination. Do not rely on their shipping option they provide, which they will insist is the only way. (assuming they have some incentive to use their chinese agents) Even if the manufacturing is good, it means very little if your products never arrive and you're given ZERO information or support to help recover them.
Communication after dispatch has been extremely poor. I have spent months chasing updates with no meaningful progress, no transparency, and no clear answers.
A good manufacturer doesn't just make products, they ensure customers can actually receive them or provide the support needed when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
I sincerely hope no other business has to go through what I have experienced. I would highly recommend doing your research before proceeding with FDM Yoga.
