Really enjoyable and instructive five-session course for beginners. Ours was run by the excellent Phil Darkin who patiently explained all the basic barebow and freestyle recurve techniques, helped us when we struggled, and inspired us with his knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement. All six of my class passed the course, earning a certificate that allows us to apply to join Archery GB affiliated clubs, and all six said they want to continue their archery journey. The course is great value, turbo-fun, and gives an unexpected feeling of accomplishment. Highly recommended.

I completed the 5-week beginners course at Experience Archery and had a really good time. Phil is a great coach; he’s professional and friendly, and also has a good sense of humour which keeps the atmosphere relaxed. The course is made up of five sessions, each lasting about an hour and a half. You get to try out both barebow and shooting with a sight, so you get a feel for both styles. There were only 8 people in our group, which felt like a good size because we all got some personal attention and feedback on our technique. At the end of the final session, you get a certificate that lets you practice at most other archery ranges too. If you're looking to try the sport, I definitely recommend Experience Archery.

I always wanted to try archery and finally found a great place. I've completed the 5 week beginners course and got my certificate, Yay!!!!! The environment is chilled, the coaches are very nice, patient, welcoming, pro and fun. I highly recommend. Thank you for the experience!

Very knowledgeable and patient instructors Dave and Joe. They really took the time to explain the techniques and gave us tips. The booking process was straightforward and Lee was very accommodating with the needs of our large group. Excellent group activity. Everyone had so much fun and we can't wait to try it again.

I had such a great time with Experience Archery. The session was a lot of fun, and the instructor was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and confident, no matter their skill level. I learned so much in just one session and really appreciated the clear guidance and encouragement throughout. A brilliant activity that's perfect for beginners and more experienced archers alike. Highly recommend!

Always wanted to try out archery 🏹 and I an glad I did and I am very grateful for the team at Experience Archery to introduce me to this amazing sport/hobbie.

There’s no sense of pressure, competitiveness or awkward vibe at all - it’s also very self-paced, friendly and dedicated.

I highly recommend the beginners course. Phil was very kind and knowledgeable and made every session enjoyable. If you are thinking of taking archery up, just do it! It’s easier than you think and a very relaxing sport.

I went to a have-a-go class before starting the course so I sort of knew what I was walking into and the experience archery club is everything I hoped it would be. Now I've finished my course I will be joining the club for sure.. it really made excited for archery especially looking forward to the future, improving and trying new things. The classes were just great.. fun, exciting, you learn about the equipment and sport and you get to make new friends and go through your little archery journey together.

We were a small group of 6 work colleagues looking to try something different as a team event. The introduction to archery was a wild card choice but was enjoyed by us all.
From the beginning it was clear that the instructors (Dave and Joe) were very knowledgeable about their sport. We had a clear introduction and safety talk, detailed instructions as well as some mini history lessons.
Throughout our session we were given tips for improving our individual skills leading up to a highly contested competition for medals.
We all had a great time and developed some skills, although I don't think we'll be heading to the Olympics any time soon !

My daughter and I have recently completed the beginner's course and thoroughly enjoyed the professional and insightful education provided by Lee. He has not only helped improve our archery skills but also provided a reminder to have an awareness of your body posture, useful beyond archery. Looking forward to joining the club.
