Worst Online Experience Ever

Ordered laptop 30/4/23, 3 in stock, Visa transaction went through straight away. Order Tracking explained they had to order a NZ/Aus plug. Ok, until yesterday 4/5/23 Order Tracking says 0 Laptops in stock, have to order plug & Laptop. Unbelievable. Have asked to cancel order & refund money. Fingers crossed
** Update 6/6/23
On 18/5 Expansys said they'd refund me, will be between 7 & 49 working days!! - still waiting. Contacted my bank, they are going to help me. They say Visa rules are Expansys should refund me within 15 days of cancelation, I should've had my money back by 2/6. These guys are blatant rip offs, making up their own rules

I ordered an Intel NUC PC.

Shipped on 4/18 and received on 4/21. This was faster than the latest EMS shipping speed.
The product was of course perfect.

It was the first time I bought a product other than a smartphone from expansys, but I was very satisfied.

To suggest one improvement, it is necessary to provide a little more detailed specification information on the product page. In particular, the lack of information on PC-related products makes them hesitant to purchase.

Abysmal service - probable SCAM

Placed an order for item that showed as in stock with estimated delivery 6-10 business days.
Received auto response stating
"Unfortunately we are not able to deliver to PO Box addresses. Please provide your residential or business address for further handling."

I had originally provided a street address for delivery the PO box was provided as the billing address.

I asked them to make the billing address the same as the delivery address but this request was ignored.

Multiple attempts to provide information and request a status update received nothing but an auto response saying
"Your ticket has been received. One of our agents will reply to you shortly."

Best case scenario: atrocious customer service
Worst case: running a fraudulent campaign

ADVICE: Avoid using this company and don't trust positive reviews.

Shocking experience, false advertising, no product, no refund, no response.

Shocking experience. Purchased product which was listed as 'in stock'. After payment, order confirmation stated they held none in stock and no indication of when this might change.

Multiple attempts to raise tickets at customer service went unanswered until PayPal dispute was raised - then they got in touch to request I close the dispute or they would not continue to 'process the order'.

Multiple requests for refunds ignored.

Worst online purchasing experience.

The website continues to list the product as in stock and available now.

EDIT: PayPayl concluded the dispute and refunded my purchase price. I am very grateful I paid through PayPal as otherwise I would have had little recourse. Will never purchase an item from this retailer again.

Do not buy from this company they are a scam I lost $389 to this company promising delivery within 6 days it’s now been 5 months and still nothing no response no kid’s tablets no refund online criminals.. To the reply bellow from expansys what do you think ive being doing ive been in contact with with uses and it goes nowhere, months of no response then i get a reply form uses saying its discontinued then u cancel the order and promise a full refund.. so where's the refund its been months and nothing has been refunded in fact use have stoped replying again!!

This is an absolute scam company

This is an absolute scam company. Dont know where they get people to give 4-5 start reviews. Bought from them and when they did not delivered and i called my card company to report on a fraud transaction, they replied to my email to tell my bank not to cancel transaction and that i will not get my money back. I am surprised how they are still able to be able to operate an online presence. Do not buy any website that does not have any address and telephone number!

DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

DON'T BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered a Xiaomi 13 Pro phone from this company. A while later I found that the parcel was stuck at customs. I tried to contact Expansys but they didn't respond. I ringing the courier they told me what I needed to do to get it released. It DIDN'T come with Google app as it the site said. I emailed them but they didn't respond. I found that there was a question and answer area at the bottom of the product page. Someone from the company responded here and provided install instructions. They didn't work and that was the last I heard from them. I have since found a way to install Google apps on the internet.

Poor service and communication. Avoid!

I had a terrible experience with Expansys this time. I have used them in the past with no problem, but this time, it was bad. I ordered a Galaxy A53 5G and Expansys charged my credit card immediately. After one week with no update, I sent an email asking if they could tell me what was going on with my order. They replied two days later and said they understood I wished to cancel my order! I had not asked for that and had only asked what was happening. I asked them to go ahead and cancel at that point, because I was already annoyed with their poor service. They accepted that, but of course, the refund of my money will "take some time" – They were quick to take my money, slow to refund it when they cancelled my order. I am still waiting on my refund 2 weeks later...
I highly recommend avoiding this company. The prices looked attractive, but I wish I had not ordered from them.

64GB Steam deck

Bought a 64gb Steam deck on the 24/02, it arrived the next week. No issues with the deck, came with a US to AUS power adapter. Have legit been playing with my deck everynight before bed.

No response, no updates

Placed my order on 10/3, waited for any shipment/tracking updates, but non-whatsoever.

Status: Call for details. <<< wheres the contact number and if no one replies my support email how am I supposed to call?

Emailed support, no response. Hoping I get a response with this rating on Trustpilot? sigh.

Will alter this review IF I get an update on what's going on with my order.

*Update 27/3: STILL NO Response whatsoever. Scam site.

*Update 29/3: They finally responded after I sent another support email and got my card company to file a dispute. Offered a discount but I requested for a refund, let's see how it goes after a week if the refund actually comes in.

Apparently there's no stock , but no news was conveyed to me prior to this fiasco. Their site does say there's stock when I ordered though.

Most terrible delivery experience

Short review: More clarity on how you are going to deliver my order. Currenty there is nothing about the process, only delivery time
Long review: Long review: I was in Malaysia for several weeks and was trying to buy Google Pixel Watch there. Found the "local" website expansys.my (as I thought due to *.my ending of the website address)with probably Malaysian warehouse. Additional proving of the local warehouse was the delivery time: 2-3 days. There is a special note at the order checkout page "Reminder for Malaysia, Philippine, Thailand and UAE customers, the price is excluding any taxes and fees that the order may be subject to upon entry to the country." However, I didn't think that my order will be sent from other country. Long story short: this company is located in Hong Kong and sends everything to Malaysia from there. And it takes not 2-3 days, but 2-3 weeks to get delivery location.
Two weeks they were trying to send this order. Then I was needed to push delivery company(Aramex, in my case) to contact me and send you payment info for taxes and paperwork. I paid additional 300-400 RM. I was limited in time and therefore pushed each link in this chain of "delivery machine". Not sure how long it took if I did nothing. Maybe I would never have seen this watch. As a result I've get this order at the last day of my stay in KL. Not recommend this store.

BEWARE! Scammer site alert! Please do not buy from them! Expansys.com.sg

Placed order for Tamron lens on 8th FEB 2023. Today is 10th MAR 2023. I still have not receive my item. Tried to email their customer service but they responded that they were not sure when is the item will be shipped. Now they totally ignore my emails. Please Beware, do not buy from this scammer website. They are cheaper by 20% compared to other legit sites so buy at your own risk.

Should have checked Trustpilot beforehand

My experience with Expansys matches those of most 1-star reviewers here pretty closely. My bad for thinking a company that's been around for so long couldn't be that terrible. I was wrong and should've checked this site before I ordered with them.

Still not sure whether they've changed their whole business model and became a scamming enterprise or whether they're just a terribly run, badly outdated online retailer. Probably the latter, but it doesn't really matter anyway - I'll avoid them like the plague from now on out.

But let's start from the beginning. I ordered a cheap electronic gadget – let's just call it that; about 60 USD – via the dedicated Expansys website for the country I live in (Taiwan), payed via Paypal and soon got a barrage of messages, one asking for a copy of my ID (?!?), another telling me that I "placed the order in a wrong region" (I didn't – I ordered from their own Taiwanese webshop and opted for standard shipping to a Taiwanese address) and thus needed to add about 20 USD in shipping costs. Everything about their communication style seemed very fishy and un-trustworthy, so I declined and instead asked them to cancel (which they had implicitly offered in one of their many initial mails) and refund. No answer. Over the next two weeks I checked back and wrote a couple more e-mail reminders, which all went unanswered. After I finally lodged a complaint with Paypal - hurray! - a mail from Expansys arrived the very next day (for some reason, their info@expansys (TW) mail header reads "Akemi Shibuja"). They finally confirmed the cancellation of my order, BUT also asked me to withdraw the Paypal dispute, claiming they were unable to refund a payment with an active dispute. I declined and waited for Paypal to decide in my favour, which they did, about a month after I had initially placed the order. Lucky me.

I created this account to channel my displeasure with this company into something productive: a warning to others to steer clear of them.
