I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. After my car battery failed, RAC confirmed that it should be replaced under warranty. However, the company refused to honour the warranty and declined to replace the battery.

On top of that, when I previously contacted their customer service to explain the issue, I was charged around £7 for the call—only to receive no meaningful help.

Overall, this has been a frustrating experience and a complete waste of both time and money. I would not recommend this service.

Contempt for customers

I purchased a pair of EP800 AGM batteries and E mailed Exide asking how to interpret the markings to give me a date of manufacture. I waited 10 days but no response so I resent the E Mail and a week has passed and still no response. I rang their customer number, which was a waste of time as they were unable to find anyone who could answer the question. To add insult to injury the number is an 0845 number, so expensive to call. I note from other reviews that Exide have a reputation for displaying utter disdain for their customers and my experience shows that they at least consistent in this contempt

If you are thinking of taking Exide…better to change your decision

If you are thinking of taking Exide battery, I would suggest to change your decision and go with another brand.
Reason:
1. They have the worst Customer service centers. They do not have any control on their service centers because all these service centers are not owned by exide, but they are affiliated ones.
2. Actual exide support team/staff are helpful and understanding but everytime when there is a problem we cannot reach the exide team, normally people go to customer service center and have to be ready to face the humiliation and disrespect

If I could leave less than one star I…

If I could leave less than one star I would for their product and customer service. Bought battery with 4 year warranty, failed after two. Exide phone number doesn't allow you to connect so filled out a contact form. This is two weeks ago, no reply. Save yourselves some money and dont buy an Exide battery, they're rubbish and its impossible to get hold of the manufacturer. Avoid Avoid Avoid!

Just avoid - a joke

Just avoid! There's no such thing as extended warranty for Exide. Forget it. Bets bit, their "customer service" line is a paid for 0845 number, an utter joke.
I've been told they're nor reliable for the extended warranty (of 3 years), go to the seller, and best of luck, the seller said it's only two years on their side, best of luck. Funny enough never ever had a battery dying just after two years, most lasted around 5.
If you think it's a great deal, think twice, unless you believe in pure luck, or have the willingness to fight them to the bitter end.

Stay away from Exide batteries

I wish a read those reviews 3 years ago. My 2021 Exide Premium EA770 battery died completely after 3 years and 2 weeks of service. Confirmed by experienced and qualified “battery guy”. The worst battery choice I have ever made.

Don't use. Just after your money. Use any excuse to not honor warranty

So spent 2k with them 3 months ago going with there recommendations. To them have the FLT battery condemned 3 months later needing to be replaced.at a cost of 5.6k. Not once did they originally say the replacement cells would only last 3 months. And refuse to discuss on the phone. And offer no discount or support considering they came out 3 months ago. If they had said originally this repair would only last 3months or even 12 months would have just replaced it there and then. Just out to get your money. Poor after sales support. Don't use
