Started in January with Dean Holton, was amazing at explaining and getting me ready for my test. Would recommend for everyone

I had Aneka as my instructor and she supported me along my journey.She made me be able to pass first time! She is absolutely brilliant and a lovely soul.I enjoyed every single lesson with her!Aneka had faith in me all way long and made me have faith in my own self and be confident to be able to go through the tasks that I've find hard and to be able to be safe on roads.
I will truly miss my lessons with her, and I’ll definitely miss having her by my side once I get my own car. We shared so many laughs, and she always made every journey fun! 😊

I have had Dean for the last year and a half. He was an amazing instructor and was patient with me when struggling. Everything I have learnt was because of him. I passed my test today and have enjoyed doing my lessons to get me here. Excel has been a really helpful company and could not recommend more.

We’ve had an excellent experience with the driving instructor, Ray.
Ray had been my daughter’s driving instructor up until yesterday, when she passed her driving test on her first attempt!
My daughter is autistic, has ADHD, anxiety,
Tourette’s Syndrome, and a chronic medical condition. Because of this, I knew she would need an excellent driving instructor, one who understands her specific needs and is flexible in their teaching. I spoke to the Excel team, who reassured me this wouldn’t be an issue and recommended Ray.
Ray is a fantastic teacher! He put my daughter at ease right from their first meeting. She felt comfortable with him from the start because, as well as being extremely kind, he listened to her concerns and how her conditions affected her. Subsequently, she felt heard, and Ray reassured her, explained that he would work at her pace, mentioned his vast experience, and reassured her that her specialist needs were not a barrier to learning to drive, giving her a much-needed confidence boost. Ray is an enthusiastic, dedicated teacher passionate about teaching. He went to the extent of learning more about autism and Tourette’s Syndrome in his own time, which not only likely enhanced his already excellent teaching, but also really pleased my daughter, who’s keen on educating others, and particularly dispelling common myths surrounding autism and Tourette’s, even though Ray already has a good knowledge, and previous experience, of teaching neurodivergent students.
Ray aims to teach his students to be lifelong, safe, and confident drivers, rather than just to pass their driving test. Because of this, my daughter gained experience driving through three different counties, over different types of roads and terrain, including different motorways. It was certainly a vastly superior teaching experience than I experienced as a learner driver many years ago!
Ray personalised his teaching methods according to how my daughter learns best, which he picked up on pretty quickly. His expertise was evident in his teaching methods. For any specific queries or struggles she experienced, instead of just verbally explaining, he would think outside the box and approach them using unique, practical methods.
My daughter is obviously delighted to have passed her driving test on her first attempt, but she will miss her driving lessons with Ray, which she really enjoyed.
I would recommend Ray to anyone wanting to learn to drive, and wanting to not only pass their test, but to become safe, competent drivers, confident driving on motorways and in all conditions. I'd especially recommend Ray as an instructor to neurodivergent learners, for those who struggle with their confidence, and for those who suffer with significant anxiety.
I cannot praise Ray enough for his excellent teaching methods, his flexibility and willingness to expand his knowledge to help his students, and for helping make my daughter believe in herself, and boosting her confidence that she can achieve and reach her goals, despite her challenges.

All of the team were super helpful, from Richard going above and beyond to making sure I had an instructor for my test at late notice, to Franco’s expertise getting me to pass! Franco was super attentive, knows what the examiner is expecting inside and out and immediately came up with a plan to get me to pass. He did this with a calm and reassuring demeanour too, would definitely recommend!

Passed my Test today all thanks to Aneka! Going to miss our lessons so much - since the start every lesson has been amazing and always have such a good laugh - already recommended her to friends who share the same experience!! Franco was excellent in teaching me to drive, he was always calm and collected and I didn’t feel any pressure whatsoever when driving, it was always a good laugh and i enjoyed learning.

Aneka was such a great instructor, she really helped to boost my confidence and achieve a pass. Thank you so much for all your help!

I can’t thank Excel Driving enough, I’ve officially passed my driving test and I genuinely couldn’t have done it without them. Huge thank you to Richard and Dean for being so patient, supportive and encouraging throughout my lessons. Everything was always explained clearly, mistakes were never made to feel like a big deal, and they really helped build my confidence behind the wheel. From the first contact to the last lesson which led to the test was an absolute blast for my daughter.
Aneka the driving instructor was so friendly yet professional, made my daughter feel at ease from the very first lesson.
Booking lessons was also easy.

Passed my practical test first time today, it was all down to dean’s hard work in offering me advice and teaching me how to drive pretty much from scratch after previously only having a few lessons, a true professional in what he does and I am grateful for all the time and effort he put in, would highly recommend excel and dean to everyone, thankyou

I would like to thank Excel Driving Training for the support they gave me after I was scammed by someone falsely posing as their company. Unfortunately, I lost a significant amount of money and my daughter also lost her driving lessons. I believe I’m not the only person this has happened to, and I am currently trying to recover the money through my credit card provider.
The gentleman who runs Excel Driving Training could not have been more helpful. This situation has affected his reputation through absolutely no fault of his own, yet he went out of his way to support me and help with my claim. I truly appreciate the time, effort, and understanding he showed.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE BOOKING WITH THIS EXCEL DRIVING, NOT THE ONE IN LONDON

I unfortunately fell victim to the scam that is excel-driving.co.uk - that is NOT this business.

When contacting this business (the correct one), I was met with great sympathy. Not only have they helped me not feel so stupid/alone. They have also sent information they have found themselves as well as following up throughout the day to check how I am.

They have also signposted me to the correct places, such as reporting fraud to the police and reporting them to the DVLA.

Whilst I cannot attest to how good this company is at teaching you to drive. I can very much talk of how kind, compassionate and considerate they have been. I cannot thank them enough.

Excel were easy to get in contact with to start my lessons and helped me book my test. Dean was a great instructor who helped me learn to drive safely and handle situations on the road. He was always willing to help me practice whenever I wasn’t confident on certain things and pushed me to pass my test 1st try.

I couldn’t recommend Andy Bryant enough as a driving instructor at Excel driving. He’s incredibly patient, calm, and explains everything in a way that actually makes sense. He never made me feel silly for asking questions and always took the time to make sure I understood what we were doing. And always kept it funny!!!
