Abbey Fields Swimming Pool

The new swimming pool complex is excellent. Very clean, well laid out and the staff extremely welcoming. It's going to get busy during summer but the classes timetables are well spaced out. Let's just see if the people of Kenilworth who use it look after it for years to come!

Great classes and facilities.

The exercise classes are excellent and the teachers delivering them are professional, knowledgeable and understanding , and very skilled at guiding people of all abilities through the routines. There are plenty of classes to choose from.
The swimming facilities are excellent and the venue offers fantastic swimming .

The joy of swimming!

I joined Hungerford Leisure Centre to swim especially in this searing heat.
The pool and all the facilities are in excellent condition, plenty of changing cubicles with lockers for your valuables, hot showers and facilities for the ladies. I thoroughly enjoyed my lane swim with the trusty lifeguard on duty should anyone need help. The staff are young, fit and extremely helpful. I enjoyed a delicious ice cream from the vending machine after my swim. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chat and a large variety of swimming costumes and accessories for sale should you forget yours at home.

Great addition to Kenilworth

Great addition to Kenilworth. Brand new facility, lovely family pool in addition to the 25m pool. Have used it for lane swimming and public swimming. Cafe is great and it’s good you can use it even if not swimming.

No alternative to stop your annual membership for health reasons.

I have always got an annual membership as I have been used the sport centre quite a lot for many years. However last year I had a double heart by pass operation and a lot of other health issues and I couldn’t use the facilities. Then they very kindly stopped my membership and add more months at the end of my original one. I got a new annual membership this year too but unfortunately more health issues have arrived again. The waiting list of the NHS doesn’t help so I have been now since April unable to do any kind of exercise. The new arrangement for Everyone active is that if you have a monthly membership then you paid £5 to stop it for health issues up to 6 months but they don’t have anything in place if you pay the whole year. After waiting for two months for a written reply, they gave me an extra month “as a gesture of good will” but when complaining again, they just replied that they just helped me last year and that they just don’t do the offer for annual membership because we already save paying all at once. Once again it seems to be all about money.

Shocking really

Shocking really - i never did one session and cancelled during the 'cool off' period! They took another months subscription from me and after many emails I have not been returned my money. Not working at present so puts me in a difficult position. A very sad state of affairs. Be careful. Lady on the phone quite off too - knew more than my GP

A great way to entertain the kids!

Reasonable price. Online booking possible. Three pools available (main pool, smaller pool and “beach” pool so suits a variety of ages. Lockers available using coupons from reception. Viewing area and cafe for this who need these facilities. Very clean changing rooms and toilets. Helpful staff. Admission process can be a bit slow as they record your arrival. Free parking at the weekends.

Took my 15 month old grandchild to…

Took my 15 month old grandchild to Coral Reef, Bracknell, on Sunday 12th July 2026.

After swimming decided to go to the Cafe. Absolutely nothing for a baby or toddler to eat.

Asked 2 members of staff who both ssid we don't do food for babies or toddlers!!!!!! Only pizza or nothing.

Asked them isn't Coral Reef supposed to be family friendly. Both said "I can ask, but we don't do anything. Just pizzas."

Once home, checked Coral Reef, Bracknell website as I couldn't believe what I heard.

They do not offer any food for babies. They offer to heat up what you have to bring in. Mighty big of them - Not!

Wish they had highlighted this in bold and in hugh letter at the very begining of their website, as well at payment stage, online.

Believe me if I had seen this, there is no way I would have taken my grand child to Coral Reef, Bracknell. I would
Never waste money on a venue that chooses to treat my grandchild as a second class citizen.

Great facility and friendly staff at Deal

We regularly play pickleball at Deal Leisure Centre and always have a great experience. It’s really easy to book online, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a good amount of space to play.

It has been a little warm lately, but then everywhere has in this weather! It’s a great facility overall, with a gym and lots of other activities available too.

Highly recommend!

Great experience at Cheam leisure centre

Great experience at Cheam leisure centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was really clean and not that busy, and they have onsite facilities including a sauna and steam room. My friend and I will definitely be going back to use the pool again. We had a really good time. It has been a while since I have been swimming. The only thing that would have been better is if there were no or at least less lane ropes out during the public swimming session to allow more space to dive etc. Would highly recommend going here as the prices are very reasonable.

Incredibly rude gym floor staff / 3-4 pm

Aware that Hillsborough gym regularly shuts down at 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, I rushed out of the lockers area without changing the shoes I came in, into trainers, like l should have. Gym floor duty staff commanded me in a very rude tone to leave immediately. As a contrast, when that happened once before, a different gym floor staff did that in a very polite professional manner. The reason why today's experience was so unpleasant was that l questioned him about the (only) fan that was previously cooling the gym area being now under his desk, which l happened to notice, and asked why not request of management to put another fan on the gym floor like l saw the other day when a different gym staff member was on duty. He just kept blaming the management of not caring about it despite the Aircon being inefficient in summer months on continuous basis. I understand very well the importance of wearing trainers on the gym floor but I don't think customers should tolerate rude tone and derogatory manner.

I regularly go swimming at Godalming

I regularly go swimming at Godalming, and find it an enjoyable experience.
Changing rooms as is pool is clean and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
Like the choice of lanes, and that lanes can sometimes be extra wide, allowing for faster swimmers to comfortably overtake.

Visited for the first time

Visited for the first time with a small family. The Amersham leisure centre itself looks great and the reception staff were friendly.

Once i approached the pool side, I couldn't believe how muddy the floor is where parents are dropping their kids off to swimming lessons but wearing outdoor shoes then having to walk bare foot on such dirt. There should be a no shoe policy beyond a certain point.

I wasnt aware of the setting due to it being our first time and 2 female swimming teachers were so unapproachable. The look and tone was awful telling me "you have to wait until a certain time and to hold my son as the pool is deep" like im going to let my son drown. I knew I had to wait but wasnt sure which pool. Customer service was horrible.

The staff and lack of cleanliness ruined it for me and wont be returning. Shame as its a nice structured place.

Taken over by More Leisure/Serco..

Taken over by More Leisure/Serco... Awful...bring back Every One Active...This shower of shxx cannot even get the swimming lane structure correct..3 slow lanes full of breast strokers and a 'so called' fast lane so narrow you cannot over take safely and is a head on accident waiting to happen..Im sure HSE will be keen to hear this and I would also say the Council from whom they rent the building but I don't suspect they'll give a 4x...Can't wait for the new parking fees to fleece existing membership even more...oh yes, and membership price has already gone up more than 10%...Greedy Greedy Greedy and no improvements, oh apart from the fake wood effect stickers and new hand soap dispensers....Are you waiting for the increased membership fees and parking fees to fill the coffers before you start spending the £8 million refurb
..Laughable and useless..We don't like your business..
