Poor booking process
I get the course displays a disclaimer about pairing up two balls but the process should be far more transparent than it is.
Booked a tee on Tuesday for this morning only to arrive and be told we were paired with two others. These two were members who also felt a little put out at the news.
Turns out they booked their tee 10 days ago so there was an opportunity for me to know that the tee time I booked on Tuesday was actually a shared tee which then allows me to make an informed choice, which would probably have been not to book!
Each of us got handy email reminders of our tee time yesterday but again no mention of the pairing up.
Use the technology you have to fix this, other courses do and it avoids so much frustration. People will just stop booking.

- Thank you for taking the time to review Downshire Golf Complex.
Unfortunately when you played we experienced what we know as a flush growth. If this happens it’s usually in spring after the grass has stored up energy over the winter months and suddenly the perfect conditions come and we get an explosion of growth which is hard to keep up with.
It happened in September this year due to the long periods of drought we encountered this summer.
Like many pay and play golf courses we don’t have an unlimited budget and therefore we purposely leave grass clippings on fairways to help fertilise them. This practice is common.
However, this occasionally can be unsightly when we cut for the first time in a season or as explained above when we experience a flush growth.
Hopefully you’ll see a big difference on your next visit to us.
