Evans Halshaw - Ford and MG Hull Reviews 

I have recently purchased an MG4 from MG Evans Halshaw in Hull. The sales guy Simon Hewitt was great to work with, ensured I had a good experience all the way through, making time for me to test drive various cars to ensure I got the right car for me. I have used Evans Halshaw in the past and to be honest didn’t rate them. Simon was patient, courteous and went above and beyond to get me the car I wanted. Thank you Simon you are a credit to the company.

Went to the EH FORD dealership in Hull on Priory Park … probably the worst customer experience I have had in a dealership in 40 years !
No staff at all on the shop floor in the ford area so a customer directed me to an MG salesman.. his product knowledge on a ford puma was worse than a 5 year olds !

Outside hundreds of cars - not clear which ones were for sale or which were customers .. the vehicle I drove 40 miles to view was filthy .. as were most surrounding it to be fair … a car with 3000 miles on should be presented to customers in pristine showroom condition. It looked like a car hire return !
My first and last visit to this dealership- drive back to my local dealer who ordered the car with the ease of blinking …
In summary
• disinterested staff
• poor customer focus
• cars poorly presented for sale
•chaotic and crammed forecourt that resembled a long term parking lot at Manchester airport.

Sorry - never again will I bother with this dealership - complete waste of my time and bridge toll !

Evans Halshaw Ford at Hessle carried out the required servicing and MOT. The lady receptionist was polite, helpful and knowledgeable and as usual, all the work done was thorough. Very happy with the service.

Went to look at a car that was supposed to of been prepared for viewing.car was not prepared to a very good standard inside or out.under the bonnet was disgusting for a car with 37000m.salesman was good but whoever came up with the px price must be on drugs.they quoted less than we buy any car,and £4000 under trade value.absolute joke.

After a nightmare 6 months dealing with the Rotherham branch I gave my car back and collected a replacement from Ford Hull. I feel like I have gone from hell to heaven. Michael Coggin is amazing, he has made sure everything was right for me and took his time to help. Stefan came out of the background to support and between them they really showed me how they are customer centered in their spproach. They gave me trust back in Evans Halshaw. There was an issue with the car on collection, one of those issues that you could not see coming, the water pump. But no issues, loan car organised and since Friday Michael has kept me up to date and reassured me that everything is being looked after. Big shout out to the team at Evans Halshaw Ford Hull, if you want to go to a dealers you can trust and will look after you, that put you first, then ask for Mike and the team, you will NEVER regret it.

Efficient helpful service

6 month old car in for 3 weeks for warranty work, requested replacement while off the road which was ignored. Getting through on the telephone was almost impossible and general communication was abysmal.
They would rather blame everyone else rather than get on with the issues.

Cannot tell you on this review the amount of hassle we have had just to buy a car.
Kia Hull need to get there act together.

I ordered a new car from them but unfortunately had to cancel ,they sorted my refund out with no come back from them ,heads up to Adam Russell salesperson who treated me very well and by the way got me a great deal as well, will gladly recommend them to family and friends

Shout out for Andrew at Evans Halshaw Hull. Zero hard sell of products and so patient with bank transfer delay, insurance documents etc. Great car at a great price too!

Purchased a Nissan Navara 2021, realised they don't do the 123 Point inspection, as it had previous accident damage, an oil leak and the rear canopy leaks water, they've had the car longer than I've owned it. They were fixing the wing damage and the oil leak but won't fix the leaking canopy, best of all it's now back up for sale and they don't even own it. Service is truly shocking I wanted to return it but now want it repaired. Reg is BG71 OYA.

DISGRACEFUL!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
Bought a demonstrator van (over £30k) that the sales person used himself. Filthy inside, damaged number plates and grinding rear brakes. The reversing camera is set so low that it serves virtually no purpose at all. Contacted the salesman direct and he emailed to say he would post out some new plates, that was in November which appears to be a lie as they didn’t turn up. Emailed him twice to ask where they are and he doesn’t even reply to my email. Perfect example of “Now I’ve got your money, I’m not interested”. Well it doesn’t end there, if you sell an unroadworthy vehicle then there are consequences (number plates would fail a mot) !!

Nik was very informative,helpful and professional, when we recently purchased our Ford Ecosport.

Phoned up to arrange an appointment, arrived in plenty of time. Parking nightmare. Then ignored by staff, when we approached for help told to sit down and wait, 10 minutes later asked if we needed help, explained we had phoned to see a car and told again to wait. Ignored again whilst a group of the staff stood around talking. By the time Mathew approached us to see if we were ok we had been there 45 mins and just wanted to go. Mathew was nice but the experience was awful so we left without even trying the car.

A big thank you to salesman Mike Coggan, what a guy. I arrived to view a car (on his day off). No sales pressure at all, he gave me the keys and said to have a good look around, take your time. test drive was brilliant, loved the car straight away. Had a nightmare with my bank, and Mike went out of his way to run me around to get it sorted. Great guy, definitely recommend buying from this dealer. One happy customer 😀
