I didn’t know whether to talk to a lawyer, the bank, or the police. Largo Lane LP helped me understand the role of each and what expectations were realistic.
Deposited a check into investment…
Deposited a check into investment account the. Open and transferred a check I deposited they blocked my account and stated 24-48 hours for document review. Then 3 days later they said another 4 business days. Customer service useless unable to transfer my funds
Sent a wire from my cash investment…
Sent a wire from my cash investment account on Jan 5th, 2026 and the money never arrived at the far end banks and status on E*Trade shows no federal tracking reference.
E*Trade is very difficult to get any resolution. Spoken with themon numerous days to attempt to resolve, but nothing to date. Several thousand dollars now in limbo.
Overall, I have been very happy Frontier Invest Corp platform services and my accounts with them
Both my wife and I have been on the same referral chain and it has been an awesome journey all through. I admire their level of professionalism
I’ve been with ETRADE for a while and…
I’ve been with ETRADE for a while and never had an issue until I tried to deposit a rollover 401(k) check to them.. and they don’t even care about getting my money and I told them if you’re going to Auto cancel my check deposit so I’m not going to deposit any more checks with you and I’m going to begin looking for another exchange. Still don’t care… okey-dokey Neighbor
Absolute the worst broker
Had terrible experiences with Educational Savings Account for my son. It took me two years to get it transferred out properly. Then there is some residual value remaining after closing, and their customer services gave me contradicting information about how to claim the residual value on each phone call. Stay away!!!
Horrible and Rude Customer Service
Horrible - signed up due to promo. They keep locking you for no reason. When asked Customer care just don't care. As the representative suggested I am transfering out even if losing that promo.
AWFUL!!!!
AWFUL!!!!! they make it impossible for beneficiaries to receive benefits. My mother passed away 3 years ago and there has been more red tape with E*TRADE than selling her properties. Communication and customer service are a joke. STAY FAR AWAY!!! There are much better options.
I was a long time customer of 20 years…
I was a long time customer of 20 years with E*TRADE. Six months ago I had a fraudulent attack on some of my financial accounts betrayed being one. E*TRADE locked my account and told me I had to set up more security which I did, professionally clean my machine which I did twice, contact Experian which I did and set up a two-step verification for logging in. After doing all this with the additional cost of cleaning my machine just recently they locked the account and said nothing. Never got a call or notification that it was locked or I had a problem going on. The day I decided to make a trade is when I found out that my account was locked so I called. They were unable to give me any information at all, wouldn’t let me know if my money was safe, wouldn’t let me know what caused a problem and it took three weeks to resolved. They informed me that I had to wait for a piece of paper in the mail that basically said all the things I did above and no other information was given. The customer service upfront was not bad but they did not have any information in what they called the back room and would not transfer me to speak to anyone. Wouldn’t you use these guys again unfortunately.
I put in a transfer and it went…
I put in a transfer and it went through, So I was assured it was all set. Then they added a digit to my account and sent it to the wrong place. I have been calling with no answers, only to be told to wait. This is unacceptable, especially since I needed the funds and their mistake should be fixed.
My experience so far with #Stovëx #Global has been simple. When I requested a payout, it didn't take unusually long.
They are quick to take from me
They are quick to take from me, but once I ask to get it back, I am been passed around and told to wait. After that communication stops completely. I am glad i didn't go any further, but the frustration and stress from the experience were overwhelming.
Over time on #Stovëx #Global the approach I follow has held up well, with payouts being processed when requested.
Good Promos Going On
They’re offering generous bank side promotions with the Morgan Stanley side. The 1 year CD rate for 1 year seems best without any bonus.
So, I open new bank accounts - CD, Premium Savings, Regular Checking.
One complaint is even though I opened 4 new accounts they required a DL and selfie for each instead of once for the whole ‘account’ holder. Rather tedious and repetitious. I never had a chance to sign off on the bio aspect of security with that selfie and have never come across it short of government accounts.
A transfer I made somehow got redirected on their end effectively doubling my deposit in premium instead of a CD. Seems THEY want cash in the premium and if you have an investment account they want your cash there too but at a reduced bonus.
The transfers I made are not accurately reflected on the transfer activity screen.
One was/is missing entirely. The rep couldn’t figure it out so he ducks out for lunch promising a call back later with more info. These people don’t call you back has always been my experience. Not sure why he tossed that out except to get off the call maybe. I found a transfer recorded in the account itself, but it does not reflect that my funds came from my external account. Instead, it shows it came from that very same new CD account. But again, this transfer does not exist in their transfer activity page with all accounts or just CD selected with all types of transfers selected too.
Hopefully this is just short term but if not the issue is tracking where your own funds came from. Just as hopefully some regulators are watching what these people do.
If anything here is troubling to you or from other reviews of people getting stiffed trying to get funds out, then be careful in your choice. E*Trade also slips language about putting restrictions on accounts, they have all sorts of terms, and it takes 2-3 months before the time ends before the bonuses are due to be paid…
I put $28,000 to invest with them…
I put $28,000 to invest with them because I thought my money was going to grow n I’ve lost almost all of my money with them. So I no longer invest with e trade because they are a horrible company to invest in. So I will strongly recommend to NEVER NEVER EVER invest with them. They are the worst. I’ve made one of the worst decisions in my life to invest in them. So PLEASE DO NOT make the same mistake I did. As for the dates, I don’t remember exactly. So this is only an estimate
Still locked out of debit card…
Still locked out of debit card functions for both brokerage and checking accounts.
Annoying Login Glitches
Morgan Stanley's E-Trade offers a fair APY for a Certificate of Deposit for this year 2026. So I decided to create my own CD Account with E-Trade Morgan Stanley Bank.
Transaction was from my bank to deposit to my new E-Trade Bank Account was Fair.
But the biggest issue I am writing here is the Login to my E-Trade Account.
Every time I login my username & password of my E-Trade Account on a new unrecognizable PC, the E-Trade Security Login requested I input my US Mobile Phone Number to confirm my identity (of which I supposedly successfully did during my initial account creation).
However, after input my phone number & press "Submit", I received this error message: "We're unable to use your phone number to verify your identity"
So I have to call their 24 hr. Hotline: 1-800-387-2331
Their hotline is SOMEWHAT helpful... But not good enough. Kinda long in the wait with some instructions here & there.
Meanwhile their operators instructed me to submit this document they provide a picture of a photo ID or passport with a note from their instruction known as a "Letter of Instruction". Overall process was very daunting & time consuming for both me & the operators. I have to check back the status within 3 business days.
I understand E-Trade is being super cautious regarding about Login Safety, but c'mon man, this is too much.
E-Trade Online Login Software needs work & needs improvement. Yes do focus on Safety/Security online, but at the same time try to make it simple & convenient for us Consumers to operate.
2/5 stars E-Trade. Please improve your Login Software Issue.
I am filing a formal complaint against…
I am filing a formal complaint against ETRADE Securities LLC regarding an improper restriction placed on my brokerage account after depositing approximately $100,000, ETRADE’s refusal to allow me to transfer or withdraw my funds, and an improper margin fee charged while my account was restricted.
Shortly after depositing approximately $100,000 into my ETRADE account, the account was restricted without clear explanation. Since the restriction was applied, I have been unable to transfer my funds out of the account or otherwise access my money. Despite multiple attempts to contact ETRADE customer support, I have not been provided with a clear reason for the restriction, a specific timeline for resolution, or actionable steps to regain access to my funds.
In addition, ETRADE charged a $75 margin fee to my account even though I never executed any trades, never used margin, and have been unable to move or access my funds due to the restriction imposed by ETRADE. Charging fees under these circumstances is improper and unjustified, particularly while my account is effectively frozen.
ETRADE has withheld my funds without transparency or timely resolution and has charged fees despite no trading activity. This has caused significant financial stress and raises serious concerns regarding ETRADE’s compliance with consumer protection standards and fair financial practices.
Would not recommend
They have made the process of setting up a basic saving account way too difficult. Sent in all personal documents 2 weeks ago and have to keep calling where they tell me my account will be approved shortly every time... very concerned that I just sent over a copy of my personal ID and Social security card to this "bank". So far it seems scammy. Would not recommend!
One star is a bit much for them
One star is a bit much for them. Plan on filing complaint with the consumer protection bureau. They make you feel like your money is not yours . Place restrictions on accounts and hide behind the statements of unusual activity. Do not bank with them. It will be an ongoing battle.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I have called five times attempting to regain access to my account. Each time, I am given a different explanation and promised that the issue has been resolved. After more than 14 days, I still do not have access to my account. There is no ombudsman, no compliance officer, and no clear escalation path to address this issue. FIled a complaint with FINRA
During a market move the platform…
During a market move the platform wouldn’t log me in or execute trades properly, meaning I missed important opportunities. Very frustrating when timing matters in trading.
- Unresolved E*TRADE Tax Certification Failure Leading to Withheld Funds - Persistent System Issues Preventing Access to My Own Money
I submitted my tax certification two weeks ago, and it showed as completed without any errors. Three days later, I sold a few shares, and a default 24% tax was withheld. When I contacted customer care, they said it was a system error and that the certification would be updated within a day.
Since then, I’ve been calling almost every day to check the status, but no one seems to know what’s going on. Every representative keeps saying it will be fixed in an hour or a day, yet nothing changes. Because of this E*TRADE system issue, my funds are stuck, and they don’t seem to have a solution.
I even tried transferring whatever money I could to my bank account, but that resulted in multiple different errors. It’s frustrating to see a trading platform operate this poorly.
