The company is very responsive. While this is a new product, it is thoughtfully put together and its integration with Canvas is excellent.
My students appreciate the detailed feedback, especially as an input to revising their papers.

Essay Grader was exactly what I was looking for. I way to give fast feedback to students as emerging writers. This does not replace the teacher, but is a helper in the educational experience. I love the integration with google classroom and the ability to customize the feedback directly into the students document.

As a freelance educator, I work closely with students across grade levels and writing abilities. I started using it when I needed a tool that respected the way I already teach, and made things easier, smoother. I was hesitant to try something new, but it was so easy to get up and running and I appreciate the feedback it provides. I really like the side-by-side panel view, where you can see student work and feedback sections side by side.

As an English teacher with over a decade of experience, I’ve tried a number of tools to help streamline grading and give more actionable feedback to students. EssayGrader has genuinely impressed me.

The interface is clean and intuitive, which made it easy to get started. More importantly, the feedback it generates is actually useful...not just generic grammar corrections, but real insights into structure, clarity, and argument strength. Several of my students mentioned they understood their mistakes more clearly after using it.

I appreciate the depth of feedback provided on each essay. Not only are mistakes flagged, but so are things that are done particularly well. Suggestions for improvement are spot-on. I also like the fact that I can send feedback reports to the students with or without the score. This allows me some wiggle-room in grades, as I deem acceptable. The only issue I have run into is the fact that in-text citations are sometimes flagged as being done incorrectly when they are, indeed, correct. This is despite my specifying in the rubric that they should be formatted accord MLA guidelines. Overall, this has been a terrific timesaver. I still read my students’ work and know where and how they are progressing, but the feedback they receive is more than what is humanly possible.

A coworker told me about the site and convinced me to try it. I am impressed! Never before has essay grading been so easy. I am also excited about the detailed feedback for student review. Thank you for this experience.

Essay Grader helped us grade 450 papers for our science fair in under an 4 hours. It saved our judges so much time and the judges were able to provide advice on each student's scientific method and presentation.

The grading didn't have the nuance that I wanted it to have. It could be helpful to have the option to put an an example essay (or multiple) for different grade levels so that the grading AI has a standard to measure itself against.

Grades the first two essays fine. Purchased the upgraded version. Tried to grade and it was telling me it was not connecting to canvas, tried to connect to canvas again and it told me I was connected. So I tried to grade and it said not connected. A few hours later was fine. Grades an assignment and then tried to grade again and it would not pull up my students. Apparently this happens a lot because I got a pop up that said try again later. So in the time I have spent with the glitches I could have graded on my own

Far too generic. It needs to be able to also deal somewhat with content to be useful to me.

The ease of importing a rubric and linking to Google Classroom to provide instant feedback is a gamechanger!!

Easy to use, feedback is generally spot on, love that one can use ones own rubrics.

I am a high school English teacher and tried this out for the year. I LOVE it. I use this on my students' drafts and provide them with a copy of the feedback. The students love it too and have begun requesting the feedback for even smaller assignments. I needed help with a technical issue on Sunday night and I am amazed that someone emailed me and responded within an hour.... On a Sunday. Great product and the service support has been awesome. I highly recommend. Cloverpark SD, WA state so you know I'm a real person!

This product didn't work for me, but I believe teachers who teach different subjects it would. I will say their customer is one of the best I have have EVER experienced. It is exemplary. How fast they respond, their aim to fix concerns, absolutely fantastic.

EssayGrader is easy to use and constantly updating and improving overall performance, which makes it a handy tool for us at the university level to do a precursor look at written papers delivered by our students.
