Experience With Ervin's Estate Agent

I joined this estate agency back in May 2024. During my discussions with the agent I was told he was reasonable and if a property is not sold after 6 or more months he would be happy to terminate contract.
In the last 7 months I have had only 2 viewing! A few days back I decided to remove my property because the market is currently dead. Today I was told the contract still stands and I am not allowed to join anyother estate agent until end of the contract term.
For me this is not a problem but I wanted to let people know people will say anything to get you to sign the dotted line and lock you in, irrespective of any comments made.
