This will be my last year in supporting Envato Elements. I have been a customer for years, and enjoyed their product, but now, things are no longer worth the money spent. They are too focused on AI... See more

I had a great experience with Envato’s customer support.
I reached out to their team regarding a billing question, and the way it was handled was truly professional. The response was quick, clear, and respectful, and the situation was resolved smoothly.
It’s refreshing to see a company that takes customer concerns seriously and handles them with efficiency and care. This kind of support builds real trust.
Thank you to the Envato team for the quality of your service and your professionalism. I highly recommend Envato.
Refuse the Refund
I have bought a template for wordpress. This template is full of bugs and I want a refund. The only thing what Envato told me is "contact the author" No, I was seeking for a working product and not for a technical dicussion with an author. Bad service
Repeated plugin rejections, no motivation given...
My experience stems from being a developer who attempted to list his WordPress plugins on Envato with the intention of selling them.
My plugins are already available on other marketplaces similar to Envato (e.g., WP Optimal State Pro). Despite this, Envato rejected my plugins three times in a row, even though I made some effort to adapt them to their requirements.
I want to point out that I was never given any reason for the repeated rejections, so I never understood the underlying rationale for these rejections.
From a developer's point of view, this is really frustrating, as well as a huge waste of time. Clearly, transparency towards developers isn't Envato's greatest strength.
30 day money back is misleading
Envato advertises themes with 30 day money back guarantee. However if you download the assets, try them and return they don’t refund even if the license is clearly not used. Very misleading. Many other tools just cancel the license and refund asap.
You should not buy anything here
You should not buy anything here, because at any time you can lose hundreds of dollars worth of products just because you bought the wrong code from the wrong author. The irresponsible Envato team suspended my account and I lost access to all the hundreds of dollars worth of products I had purchased, just because one of the irresponsible authors' Vioneer scripts didn't work as it should. This is not a marketplace that is focused on users, this is a marketplace that is focused on making money. Do not buy anything on Codecanyon! They can make you lose your account at any time without any fair investigation and without establishing real reasons.
Don’t buy from this scammer
Don’t buy from this scammer, they post for sale templates that doesnt work, after you bought the they will give you the download where you only get 15MB of files and it will not work, I saw the reviews too late that a customer placed it 2’years ago, they truly wants to victimized people, If they are good business the moment I upload the templates it should work, BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM ENVATO
fraud
Unfortunately, I purchased four products from a company selling through their platform, and it was the worst experience I've had. I was scammed twice and received a completely worthless product. It was a clear case of fraud and deception. To make matters worse, Envato prevented me from commenting or expressing my opinion. In this case, I can say that this website profits from and receives revenue from companies that engage in fraudulent activities with their knowledge. Therefore, I absolutely do not recommend entering this site and purchasing any product. You can opt for a more expensive alternative, but stay away from this site; there are many scammers involved.
If I were you stay far away from these…
If I were you stay far away from these people they are crooks they locked my account with 3600 dollars worth of software and not a dime was returned to me, I have a Business that relies on the software. I've been down because of them, please back my Life and Business up. They use the internet to violate you Their developers are all over the world, and they are allowed to use the internet in ways you've never seen. If you value what you own Stay away
Before making any purchase from here
Before making any purchase from here, be aware that you cannot edit these themes in ways that can be done to other Shopify themes. I used Horizon theme from Shopify's store (a free theme) and could make all the edits I needed. But I wanted an overall "premium" look to my website as oppose to the generic look which accompanies the free themes which Shopify offers.
I bought a theme from EnvatoMarket called BigMarket because iit looks clean, minimalistic and professional. My problem came when I went to customise the product template and was disappointed to then realise you can't customise the order or layout of the sections (Product title, price, description etc). They're all consoledated into ONE block. The products that I sell require a few customised fields to be added, but unfortunately this wasn't doable with this theme. I could add blocks to the very beginning (above the product title) or at the very end of the page, at the bottom. But you can't add things liike app blocks in with the product description.
After spending days getting intouch with the theme's author, they told me if I showed them the design I wanted to achieve, they could have it created "on an hourly basis". I had just paid for this premium theme - I wasn't willing to them pay them an hourly rate to then edit the theme in order for it to work..
I reached out to Envato, stating what's happened and requested a refund. I was told "..this cannot be considered a discrepancy or issue with the item, as such modifications were not advertised as available or possible. Therefore, we are unable to proceed with a refund in this instance."
No other theme website has to declare whether or not it's edittable in the editor. Not even Shopify's own theme store. Yet they're all capable of been modified without having the need to declare whether or not they work in the editor or not.
⭐️ My Honest Experience Buying Houzez…
⭐️ My Honest Experience Buying Houzez Theme on Envato Market
I purchased the Houzez theme from Envato Market to build a real estate website, expecting a smooth experience based on the advertised demo and product description. Unfortunately, the reality was very different.
❌ After Installation
The demo import was incomplete and missing several sections.
Multiple pages appeared broken or didn’t match the advertised demo.
Some essential Elementor widgets were unavailable.
The layout shifted to centered content instead of full-width.
The overall performance was noticeably slower than the live demo.
I reinstalled WordPress multiple times — same issues every time.
Eventually, I had no choice but to delete everything and rebuild the entire website using a different solution, because the theme simply wasn’t usable for my project.
🕒 Refund Request Experience
I submitted a refund request and waited six days with no response.
When support finally replied, the focus was not on understanding the issue or helping, but on rejecting the request based on policy wording.
Even after clearly explaining the situation, the final response stated that no refund could be issued because there was “no proven evidence” — despite the fact that I had already deleted the environment and couldn’t reinstall the theme without damaging my new website.
✅ Key Takeaways
Envato’s refund system strongly favors sellers, not buyers.
Support response time is slow.
Refunds are extremely difficult, even when the product doesn’t function as expected.
Buying based on the demo can be misleading.
🎯 Advice Before Buying
Contact the author before purchasing — don’t rely on the demo alone.
Search for real user experiences first.
Don’t expect an easy or guaranteed refund.
Always back up your site before installing any paid theme.
✅ Final Thoughts
The issue isn’t the money — it’s the lack of customer care.
As a first-time Envato customer, this experience left a negative impression. I’m sharing this so others can make informed decisions before purchasing.
My experience with Envato
I want to share my positive experience with Envato’s customer support team. I recently had an issue with a billing period where I was unable to use my subscription due to personal circumstances. After reviewing my account, Envato confirmed there was no usage during that time and approved a refund for the entire billing cycle.
What impressed me most was their professionalism, fairness, and genuine care for their customers. The support representative, Sam, handled my case with patience, clarity, and respect. He escalated the situation to management and ensured a fair resolution, which shows how much Envato values transparency and customer satisfaction.
I truly appreciate the excellent service and the quick, understanding response. This experience confirms that Envato is a trustworthy platform that stands behind its users, and I look forward to continuing to use their services. Highly recommended!
Forced diversity is never good :(
In general, I found Envato pretty good for sourcing imagery and videos for our Agency. But I am afraid I have to give them a poor review because their search always returns "diverse" individuals even though you specify elsewise.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with diversity, but its terrible when it is shoved down your throat and the search results keep pushing them in regardless of the search terms we use.
I purchased a theme off of Envato when…
I purchased a theme off of Envato when I was looking for a solution for updating a photography website. After installing the theme, it broke the site to such an extent that after hours of troubleshooting I finally had to go back and replace it with a backup from the day before. I reached out to Envato, explaining that I couldn't use the theme - but the response was essentially that it *should* have worked, and a refund was refused. So now I'm stuck with an $80 theme that I wouldn't put within 100 miles of my site again.
Just be very clear that you're very much on your own if you give these guys any money.

Envato & Ovation are just scammers who post templates online that no longer work on the current version of WordPress/WooCommerce.
Nice assets and all but their support…
Nice assets and all but their support is bad, just a bot on live chat and it never helps and only keeps sending automated messages. Support is very slow to respond.
it’s like a junkyard
it’s like a junkyard: valuable things are buried under heaps of garbage, and you have to dig to find them.
There are century-old, 99% faulty materials uploaded that waste days of valuable work time just to LEGALLY download the accessible content—while the same points can be obtained for free with the same amount of effort, and the shared files don’t work. One might say, “Well, you should just pay for the legal site,” but there, too, the same crappy materials exist
Envato removes its plugin on Wordpress
I just realized they removed Envato plugin from wordpress. Have something else instead but they made it soo difficult for users. Before it was fast and simple, now they only make things complicated. I was just about to buy premium version with them, I am very happy that I didin't after a realized there is no more that envato plugin. Really awful. Sure they are cheating with prices as well but that is something that I already knew
Seller refunded incorrectly sold item…
Seller refunded incorrectly sold item but Envato won't release the money. No response from support team on tickets.
Scammers
Scammers! First, one of the sellers simply deleted their product and I lost access to the keys. After that, they blocked my account with all the keys I bought from them! I will be filing a complaint about fraud with the FBI, and then I will sue!
