Hello,
Hello,
I’m writing this review in English, as my Danish isn’t good enough to explain a few things. It begins on 24 November 2025.
I’m involved in a major accident with my Tesla Model Y in the snow. The car is taken to Engelbrecht to have it repaired, as they claim to be authorised to work on Teslas. And that’s when the hassle and misery began – which, to this day, has still not been properly resolved by this company. We had to wait four months for the car to be ready. During those four months, we heard little or nothing from Engelbrecht. And when the car was finally ready, we weren’t even given a quick look round it, and it hadn’t been cleaned. There was grime on the seats, and the exterior was pretty grubby too. They handed the car over with a faulty headlamp module, which meant we had to drive with our full beams on all the time. Naturally, we returned it straight away, and the error message was also displayed on the screen. They couldn’t fix it, so we had to leave again. It took at least four weeks, if not longer, for our appointment at Tesla to come round. And everything was sorted in an hour at Tesla. Then we received a bill for 5,400 Danish kroner. We forwarded the bill straight away to Engelbrecht, and he said we’d pay it. It took nearly four weeks for that bill to be paid, with a flimsy excuse that the woman in the accounts department was on holiday.
We noticed that the left-hand front tyre kept going flat. We had to go back three times before they could find what the problem was. The valve isn’t even right. And they call themselves a repairer? Not to mention the quality of the paintwork and how they’ve fitted and finished everything. It’s enough to make you cry, the way they’ve done everything. They’ve aligned the car twice and solved nothing on either occasion. We went to another garage and they sorted it out in one go. The only issue is that the starter motor’s camber is still not right. Since the camber can’t be adjusted, that means something inside hasn’t been fitted properly. They’d stuck a new rubber seal on the left-hand door. It was in the wrong place, so the door didn’t close properly and was letting in wind noise. In the meantime, we’ve already been without the car for two weeks whilst they sorted out various issues. We really shouldn’t have done that! We’ve been back nearly ten times now and they’re making a complete mess of it. Yet they’re now saying we’re nagging and complaining, and that it’s costing them money to sort it out. That’s not our problem – they should have got it right first time. They should have communicated better with us or simply said, ‘This damage is beyond our capabilities and we won’t be doing this.’ They probably had dollar signs in their eyes. And I get the feeling it’s also because we’re not Danish. Unfortunately, I can’t prove that, though. My advice is: if your Tesla is damaged, don’t go to this company. Find a better one – one that has the expertise and know-how to repair this type of car.
Kind regards,
Martijn
