Bait and Switch
I've responded to four e-mails saying I can fill out a survey, and they'll give me a card. Every single time, I've started the survey, and then halfway through it says I am not qualified. The end. I have unsubscribed and will waste no more of my time.
The thing is, if my responses disqualified me... why do they keep on needing me to respond? Like, my age and employment status haven't changed since the last time I filled them out.

Hi Adam, we completely understand why this would be frustrating, especially after trying four different studies.
Each study on Emporia is run for a different research project, and our clients set their own qualification criteria. Those criteria can go well beyond information we already know about you, like age or employment status. For instance, they may be looking for experience with a particular product, responsibility for certain business decisions, or any number of other study-specific requirements. Unfortunately, we don’t always have visibility into those criteria when invitations are sent.
That said, we know repeatedly answering screening questions only to be disqualified isn’t a great experience, and we appreciate the feedback.
This website's survey disqualification process is completely unfair. It's also alarming that accounts are being banned for no reason.
It's incredibly irritating how this website randomly disqualifies my surveys. It's also concerning that my friends' accounts were banned.

Hi Andrea, we’re sorry to hear you’ve been frustrated with the qualification process. We reviewed our records and can see that you’ve successfully participated in a number of studies with Emporia and have been paid over $200 in incentives for your participation.
Each study has its own eligibility criteria set by our research clients, so unfortunately qualifying for some studies doesn’t mean you’ll qualify for every one. If there are specific surveys you believe you were incorrectly disqualified from, please reach out to support@emporiaapp.com and we’ll be happy to review them.
As for other participants’ accounts, account restrictions are reviewed individually, so we’re unable to comment on your friends’ accounts based on your review.

Easiest way to make some extra money
What a great and painless way to make some easy money. In my case, I'm earning about $100 bucks each month. I never realized that I work in a field that is so in demand for market research. When I'm waiting for somebody or in a line, I'll knock out a survey. After a couple of months, I splurge on something.

The surveys are legit, and you do get paid! Most surveys are adequately compensated for the time required to complete them. This is a mostly an automated platform so emailing staff and waiting for a response can be frustrating.
