Very Pleased with our Driveway and Path resurfaced with Resin finish.
We decided to have our driveway and path from the drive to side gate replaced with a resin finish.
This was one of three quotes.

Howard was friendly, informative and his 20+years of experience came across. It was obvious to both me and my wife that he wanted to provide a quality service. He did not put any pressure on us to make a decision and was happy to wait until we were ready. Howard kept us informed of how work was progressing, answering any questions and giving advice.
He gave me a telephone number of a recent customer who was happy to talk to us. I also asked for two examples of his work we could look at which were FIVE or more years old, this he did and as we were only going to walk / drive past the premises the owners would not be inconvenienced. We were happy with what we saw.
His quote was well under all the others. Other quotes included blockwork separating the house and resin and a drain tray. Howard explained that they had stopped placing blockwork between the house and resin as it tended to show up any deviations to the alignment of the house wall and created a space for weeds to grow. With resin up to the house this negated those issues. The drain we had was not a built square drain with a large access top but a solitary, round plastic pipe capped and leading to the main drain. Being small, round and using the ground as its support it was not suitable for a new lid. The resin was laid right up to the pipe and cap ensuring access to the cap was maintained. I have mentioned this because it shows that he did not want us to pay for something we may regret later or was unnecessary.
The Resin used is from a major British company which is slightly cheaper than one often used from Italy. There are many colours to choose from. Obviously, each firm had a similar range of colours. The main difference I noted was the stone texture. The Italian stone feels and looks slightly more smother. However, both look good when laid - texture is down to personal preference and is not noticeable unless studied up close.
