Terrible service
Last time booking with emirates! Trying to get a refund for our holiday to dubai in 4 weeks times and just being tossed around told different m things all the time shocking service. Due to travel to dubai on the 01/05/26 4 weeks time. Rang emirates several times over the last week and told the to ring back when its 4 weeks till travel date and we can process your refund. So i rang today and was told there is nothing we can do unless you fly on the 30th april which we less 24hrs later. Which is just an absolute disgrace. The middle wast is a warzone and FCDO advises against all travel cant even get travel insurance! But yet emirates cant issue a refund.
We know a family that was due to fly to dubai on the 17/05/26 nearly 3 weeks AFTER us and they received a full refund last week! When we said this to emirates on the phone we just got the response our policy is changing everyday we cant do anything , absolutley shocking response, what is changing ? Because the war is getting worse!
Professional, reliable and stress-free holiday booking
The whole experience with Emirates Holidays UK was excellent from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and efficient, communication was clear throughout, and the staff were professional, helpful and reassuring at every stage. Everything felt well organised and easy to follow, which made the holiday planning process stress-free. A genuinely high standard of service.
1 Star – Poor Communication, Inadequate Support, and Significant Costs
We booked a package holiday through Emirates Holidays to the Maldives, including flights via Dubai and resort accommodation. While we understand that flight cancellations due to Middle East issues, were beyond the airline’s control, the way Emirates Holidays handled the situation was unacceptable.
Our return flight on 5 March 2026 was cancelled, and we received no proactive communication. We only discovered this when online check-in failed, leaving us stranded at the resort. Customer service was extremely poor—calls were repeatedly disconnected or unhelpful, resulting in £152.16 in phone charges.
We were eventually rebooked 8 nights later, forcing an unplanned resort extension at USD 636 per night per room, with only partial reimbursement for three nights.
The resort had also offered a 20% goodwill discount for ongoing works to Emirates Holiday, but this was never passed on to us.
On top of this, our rebooked flight landed at Heathrow instead of Stansted, costing an additional £137.20 for transport.
We submitted a formal complaint two week ago, requesting reimbursement and compensation under the UK Package Travel Regulations 2018 and ATOL protection, and are still awaiting a response.
This experience caused significant stress, disruption, and financial loss, and we cannot recommend Emirates Holidays based on how they managed this situation.
Still awaiting refund from holiday cancelled on 4th March
Emirates cancelled my holiday on 4th March and I was told I would receive a refund within 14 days. On 10th March I received the cancellation invoice from Emirates which confirmed the refund would be back to me within 14 days. 14 days passed and I chased only to be told it would be 14 working days. After 14 working days I still have no refund and I called again. This time I was told to be patient as it would be back with me within 21 working days. Today is the 21st working day and I’ve still no refund.
I have called their customer service centre who tell me there’s nothing they can do and to be patient. They cannot advise when I will receive my refund. They would not transfer me to speak to someone more senior, all they offered to do was email their accounts department.
The grit person told me it had been processed and it was my bank’s issue. Lies. The second person said the money hadn’t even been released yet. They change their story every time you speak to them and nobody can give a concrete answer as to when and if I will get my money back. When you push back they end the call saying they can’t tell you anything different the you’ve already been told.
I’ve emailed but the emails go unanswered.
It’s absolutely disgraceful from a company such an Emirates.
I’ve spoken to my bank and I will be initiating a chargeback.
Cancelled Holiday and Month Later Still No Refund
Cancelled my holiday at start March and confirmed refund was being processed, 4 weeks later hasn’t arrived and just keep receiving generic responses to say it’s a busy period and they will send it at some point in the future. They are in breach of their own SLA, ABTA & ATOL rules and UK law but seem to think being busy is a fair justification so I now have no choice but to commence legal proceeding.
Refund Still Not Received - Breach of Cancellation Terms of 2 weeks
'Customers can not call anyone for a refund, standard email responses are sent. All communicaiton on X is ignored. The 'Best Airline in the World'. Emirates have definitely lost that title. I see other people that have been failed by Emirates who are a billion dollar company. Emirates are using our money as cash flow, disguisting, will never use Emirates again.
My cancellation confirmation of 4th March 2026 clearly states that any refund due would be credited back to the original form of payment within TWO WEEKS (not 21 working days). My booking was cancelled on 4 March 2026, meaning I should have received a refund by 18 March 2026 - 13 days ago. I am still owed £11,711.25 and this is not in line with the commitment provided in your cancellation confirmation. Your reference to 21 working days processing time does not override this original commitment.
This delay is causing significant financial and emotional stress, as I have an credit card payment due within 4 days. I was required to fund an alternative holiday due to fixed travel dates. This is a considerable sum, and I do not have the means to cover the cost of two holidays while awaiting a refund that is already overdue.
I now require the following:
- Confirmation that the full refund of £11,711.25 has been immediately processed
- Confirmation that no further delays will occur
Please treat this as a formal complaint.
Holiday
I was meant to fly out to Dubai during the last of week March, but due to the current conflict, it was cancelled. I have, however, received a full refund and taking into account the incredibly high amount of queries that they must be dealing with, the matter was resolved in a speedy manner. This isn't the first time that I have flown with Emirates and their customer care is second to none. A

Emirates Holidays trip
A trip booked with emirates holidays
In March 2026
A slightly different experience with events taking place in and around the UAE
Our experience from start to Finish was enjoyable
A couple of changes to both our outbound and inbound flights was to be expected
Yet effortlessly resolved
Everything went well from flights to accommodation
Including transfers and communications in between
Overall,a great trip, and will book with emirates holidays again in the future.
Shocking customer service and inconsistent information
We always use emirates holidays but we are seriously thinking of never using them again.
We have a holiday booked for July. With all the war going on with Iran and the current fcdo in place, we phoned up and were told that we could cancel and receive a full refund including the deposit. We were also told that this would stand because of the fact we were going to be submitting the refund request whilst the fcdo was in place. We were told this several times over several phone calls. Including one to a man named jishan. We submitted our cancellation request 2 weeks ago and haven’t heard a single thing from emirates. I have also emailed them 3 separate times. The customer service team on the phone don’t deal with cancellations so it’s a waiting game. We want to cancel so we can release our funds as soon as possible and book a different holiday. Emirates holidays are now saying that we will lose our deposit as they are only refunding for people travelling in the next 4 weeks. It’s like they are assuming the fcdo will lift soon which is irresponsible as they don’t have that power or knowledge. The customer service team all tell you different things over the phone. This paired with the fact that the cancellation team aren’t getting back to us. I fully understand that they are really busy at the moment, but a company that large should have the man power to communicate properly and provide consistent information. I am very disappointed in this company.
Cancelled holiday on March 5th
Cancelled holiday on March 5th. ABTA require refund to be sent within 14days. Funds not received. Going to complain to them. WIll never book with them again
Easy booking and excellent support in resort
Was easy to find the holiday we wanted, easy to book and quite competitive prices. Some confusion as to where we should go on arrival in Dubai for the pre-booked hotel transfer but eventually we found the right desk. The most significant help we obtained from the local team - and it really was incredibly helpful - was the arrival in person of the team at our hotel to help us rebook flights after everything was disrupted by Trump’s attack on Iran. The telephone reservations team had already been helpful but to have the local team there in person was fantastic - Clifford was great. I did not hear of any other holiday agent being there in person for their customers. Thanks to all for getting us out of the place safely.
Emirates Staff Were Exceptional
Momin, Johsa and Nasim were incredible with their help in arranging a hotel for us to move to when we could not stay at our current hotel. They went out of their way to provide exceptional customer service and this is rare so thank you!!
My second trip with Emirates Holidays…
My second trip with Emirates Holidays in as many months.
Once again exceptional customer service .
Halfway through our holiday America and Israel attacked Iran. Despite this we had a wonderful holiday in what is now one of my favourite hotels.
Our return flight left Dubai on time and we actually arrived 5 minutes ahead of schedule.
Cannot praise Emirates Holidays highly enough and look forward to travelling with them again as soon as possible.
Big well done from me.
Very poor customer service with a complaint
Having submitted a complaint at the beginning of December 2025, I find I am still waiting for a formal response. I've had two acknowledgements and with no means to email, get in touch. Seems like Emirates don't want to hear from you when you have a complaint.
I think waiting over 3 months is very excessive.
I appreciate the current difficulties in the Middle East but my claim had still been outstanding for over 2 months.
Will definitely make me question flying with Emirates again.

Given the recent turbulent times in the Middle East, we were so delighted to have booked with Emirates Holidays as we had all our flights confirmed without the need to wait for Travel Agents to confirm any schedule changes. The Emirates DXB customer services team swiftly sorted our flights and confirmed via the App and we managed to get through easily and with the allocated seats originally booked. Reduced anxiety and bravo Emirates for pulling out all stops to get us all back safely and on-time.
Great customer service especially in the circumstance
We booked an Emirates holiday for the period 27 Feb to 9 March. The hotel was an earlier recommendation from Emirates and suited our needs and was superb. Clearly our stay coincided with the troubles and although we understandably had problems speaking with and meeting the rep we did come back to the UK at the correct time. Both Emirates holidays and flights should be commended for this and we are extremely grateful. We have used Emirates on several occasions in the past and will use them again

Faultless service from start to finish , professional and efficient when we needed to change our flights whilst at our resort. We will definitely book with Emirates Holidays again!
Again,Emirates didn't let us down.
Again,Emirates didn't let us down.
We booked holiday package with Emirates, we had premium economy seats which they are spacious, comfortable. Food could be little bit better choice but we wasn't hungry. Crew was very polite and attentive.
Hotel we stayed was new, modern, very clean and in great location.
We had fantastic holiday in Dubai.
