Full Mouth Dental Implants [My experience at Elegant Smiles Dental Practice]
Unfortunately I have a diagnosis of Crohn's Disease which had badly affected my teeth and gums.
Initially I did'nt know whether or not I would be suitable for Dental Implants and given that I am 71 years young I was more than a little anxious !
I did some extensive research myself around several Local Dental Practices and Individual Dentists .
It was very important for me that my treatment should be local and aftercare essential .
I decided on Elegant Smiles Dental Practice which is located in Lincoln and very easy for me to get to.
From the start all of the staff from the Receptionist, Practice Manageress , Nursing staff ect warmly welcomed me ,were respectful and took time to put me at ease . At no time did I feel under pressure to agree to any Dental Care Plan and this gave me the confidence to find out more about my suitability for Full Mouth Dental Implants.
Viral [ my assigned Dentist]
In my opinion a highly professional quiet, gentle caring man who conducted thorough oral examinations/ took scans ,x rays and measured my bone density before any agreements as to whether I would be suitable for for any Dental work .
In addition to this several discussions took place around various options and my own expectations.
Following the above It was great to hear my bone density was suitable and as my Crohn's was stable and had been so for a pro-longed period the process was able to begin.
It has taken around 6 months for me in total [this can vary] before I got my full mouth Implants and after 2 x sets of temporary teeth necessary to allow the gums to heal properly.
Throughout the process I have had regular and consistent appointments with Viral and the Nurses to ensure I was healing well .
I am now the "Proud Owner " of a new sparkling set of teeth [not too white though it's fine for Ryland! ]
My new Zirconium teeth look like natural teeth feel great and means I can enjoy eating [anything] again .
A Huge Thanks to Viral and all the team, everyone of you who played your part in making me feel good about myself again. See you all soon, take care of yourself and each other .
Lastly I certainly would encourage anyone that it's Never Too Late to get the smile you've always wanted too.
