Many customers appreciate the website's ability to filter out potential scammers and the thoroughness of the profile questionnaires, which helps in finding compatible matches. People also find the site easy to navigate and appreciate the variety of questions asked, believing they contribute to making positive connections. So far this new experience is ok. But other sites you do not need to be premium to see pics and message (if a member messages first)

eHarmony needs to open up more matches for us to see. Very minimal choices when there are many subscribed members. One plus, more quality choices than other dating sites.

I think having to pay the high price to be able to read the message is high. When you are a widow you want to meet a nice gentleman but don’t want to pay all that money plus the person who sends you... See more

$952.73 charged with no warning. Here is the full story.

April 2026: eHarmony auto-renewed my subscription for $952.73 with zero advance notice. Their own Terms say they always communicate renewal periods. Their notification settings have 12 options - none for billing or renewals.

I disputed it. Three different representatives responded. They offered 50% as a one-time courtesy. I declined and asked for the full refund. Their final response: "this decision will be final."

The service itself failed completely. I am a gay male. My settings clearly said "Show me: Men." For 9 months I received female matches, likes, and profile views. eHarmony's own Trust and Safety team sent me a formal notice that one of my matches was removed for being fraudulent.

eHarmony paid $2.28 million to settle a California government enforcement action in 2018 for exactly these practices. Eight years later, nothing has changed.

Complaints filed with FTC, PA Attorney General, Santa Monica City Attorney, and BBB. If this happened to you: reportfraud.ftc.gov.

It's not the biggest dating pool…

It's not the biggest dating pool online, but that's sort of the point? Quality over quantity is really refreshing for me, and I like the deep questions it poses. It takes longer to join, but the compatibility matching is really helpful and detailed. No other dating site does matchmaking like this!

If it's not working for you!

When you know the matching is not working out for you on Eharmony. You should be able to stop the subscription. Not pay yet another $70.00 for more, when it clearly is a fail. That is a waste of my time and more money. The fact it's set up like that, is a trap. Set so they get paid even with bad or no results. Match is better you can pay for as little as a week and you can canceal right after. Just an FYI.

Profile sorting

I like EH profiles overall, but I wish I had the ability to not see profiles without pictures, sort by compatibility score, and not bother with people who openly say they are not on my side of the political fence. It would also help to have the ability to comment on another person's profile without a "like." Feedback would probably help my profile, too.

No Help.bullshit site!!!!!

Every time that I try to talk with someone the site cuts me off and presents a different person! I want to revisit certain profiles because in real life you cant possibly know if you are compatible with someone bases on a picture and what they wrote about them self. You need to give them a "heart" or X them out of your life completely! There profile with never show up again! This is a bull shot scam!!!!!

BREACH OF PRIVACY during conversation!!

I have reached out to eHarmony at least 4 times about a privacy breach in the middle of a conversation with a gentleman. We were just making the introductions and a 3rd person popped up in the middle of our conversation!! Not once, but twice in the same conversation!! I do not feel safe being on their platform when having a text from another guy in the middle of meeting someone. No one there seems to care, but they have no problem continuing to charge me!! Please be careful with eHarmony because they obviously do not care that single woman could be scammed or their conversations intruded upon! Not happy with them at all.

Being a seasoned online dating person here's my take

Being a seasoned online dating person, I thought I would give this site a try. The initial set-up and questionaire seemed great. Yet once they lock you in to the deal, expect to be nickle and dimed for almost every interaction. It cost money to view profiles, send messages and do certain tasks. I felt like I had been ripped off, not to mention the amount of fake profiles on the site. Stick with Bumble, Hinge or Match and you wont want to scream, in frustration....

Customer Service for Eharmony is awful

Customer Service for Eharmony is awful. There is no one to talk to and it’s difficult to submit any information to them for a reply. Reply? No reply. It’s also difficult to report bad players. And there seem to be many scammers on this site.

All weekend I got five profiles to look…

All weekend I got five profiles to look at. One with a picture and four without a face to look at…..absolutely unfair and such a scam for the money I am paying . This site needs to be totally rethought by whoever is making the rules. Such a ripoff and I am certainly talking this site down to anyone I can

My main issue with eharmony is their lack of a fair cancellation policy.

My main issue with eharmony is their refund policy. When I joined, I chose the 6-month option. Unfortunately, I misread the information and so it was more expensive than I thought. I tried to cancel immediately. I couldn't find a number to call, so I emailed them. Through back and forth emails, I found that they wouldn't cancel. I learned there are 3 day cancellation policies in some states but not mine. I asked if I could switch to a year membership. It was on special and would've been less. Initially, I didn't want to join for a year, but I should have since it would've been cheaper. They also wouldn't allow me to switch. I was widowed last year and so have to be careful with my finances. I am upset with myself for not reading the information more closely, but I am also very frustrated with eharmony that they would have limited cancellation policies rather than across the board for everyone.

Eharmony experience

I have enjoyed being on eharmony. It has reintroduced me to dating again after being married for almost 30 years. I have met several women and I am optimistic I have found someone on here that could be the next true love of my life.
