Shocking service for a "Global Best Dealer" – Edward Conway Castlebar

I am writing this as a true, full, and honest account of my experience at Edward Conway Motors in Castlebar on 12th February 2026. Having purchased over 30 new vehicles, I have never been treated so poorly.
Despite a pre-arranged appointment for a Kia EV3 test drive, the service was non-existent. We were ignored at reception, never offered a seat or a coffee while waiting, and eventually handed a "Sold" car that had been left in the rain with the door open. The driver’s seat was soaking wet.
Most shockingly for an EV specialist, the car was handed over with only 8% battery (44km range). The range indicator failed five minutes into the drive. To finish, the salesperson didn't even pause his phone call when I returned the keys.
For a dealership that boasts "Platinum" status, the lack of basic manners and vehicle preparation is staggering. I will not be purchasing a Kia from Edward Conway.

Tried to buy a car which they sold to…

Tried to buy a car which they sold to someone else. Was promised a call back but nothing. Two days later just got a text saying the car had been sold. Complained which did generate a call but all they offered was excuses. Clearly, they need to improve their communication with each other and their customers. Gave my money to a company who did call me and asked how they were doing!

Very disappointed - avoid!

Very disappointed. Bought a DS5 with full service history, only to find that the head gasket had been replaced, and very badly.
Had to get it done again.
Conways accepted no responsibility for this.

Avoid - avoid - avoid!

Inability to repair common faults without multiple visits. -not good

Reasonable (compared to other main dealers ) charges for rudimentary vehicle service -good

Eamonn and Ciaran most likely to help .-just ok
Remember You as a customer are paying all of their wages .
