They are very pushy, deceptive, and intrusive in their questions. The police will be called next time they aggressively demanded to enter our house. I asked for a business card and got a flyer promising great discounted. He kept pushing! I then began a review of the reviews. Worst ratings I have seen in my life. They are essentially criminals. 86% give them * Police will be called if they return.

They take advantage of disabled people . They have them sign a contract and it is bery unfair.

SCAMMERS!!!! Dont ever hire this company , its the worst !!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN FROM THEM, terrible service , terribleeee job , I literally have more ants and spiders than before they came .. worst experience ever !!!!! And they dont let you cancel !!!!!!!!

Beware: Misleading Contract tactics and expensive Terms. Don't be Stupid like me.

When I signed up, the full contract wasn’t shown, only a signature field was visible on the salesman's small phone. Key terms like the two-year length and $250 early termination fee were never explained verbally. I was understanding that I had the summer to evaluate and then was able to cancel as confirmed by the sales rep. But the Cancelation fee and other key parts were not explained. I trusted the rep and got burned.

A confirmation text is sent, but replying locks you into the contract. DO NOT REPLY! Trying to cancel leads to other sales tactics and “discounted” offers that are still overpriced. While all polite, they will lie and pursue the whole contract to get their pound of flesh out of you! It is just a awful situation without end.

Though the customer account was in my wife’s name, I never, with knowing with reasonable consent, agreed to the terms, they refused to recognize the legal issue. I offered several fair compromises, all rejected in this cat and mouse game, even though it meant I would spend more money on further applications. After long phone calls, they finally settled on a $150 termination fee and dropped the debt collection threat and all processes going forward. (Supposedly) It is my stupid fee, and two days of my life, and another confirmation of the depravity of stupid. DONT JOIN STUPID !

The service reduced bugs a bit, but spots were missed. While they will come back and do it again, it is additional hassle as you need to be present to allow access, and more poison to keep the dogs away from. For $1800 over two years, it’s not worth it. If you’re on a budget, get a $60 sprayer and DIY. Very Strongly advise to avoid this company!

Eco Shield is a terrible company and I emphatically recommend continuing your search for pest control services. I was about a year through my contract when everything went south

First, be aware you’re signing a contract for two years. They probably won’t tell you.

Second, their technicians lie about servicing properties. Originally, they would they’/d come by and service my property. Following my installation of an electronic lock to an exterior gate, I got billed for a visit. I called thinking okay, he couldn’t have accessed it - let’s send him back out.

Third, when you contact them about the lack of a visit, you are sent to an off-shore customer service phone bank which I think is by design to increase your frustration and quicken your pace to cancel the contract. They informed me that they believed he had visited and accessed my property. Despite my telling them it was impossible, they insisted.

Fourth, it appears Eco Shield has a business model that basically, extorts a dollar amount ($200 in my case, the internet speaks of others, with different amounts, I am looking at your Reddit) to cancel the contract because they say the attendant did service the property.

They couldn’t prove he was here and now one month later there’s obvious evidence of no treatment.

Yes, I complained to Visa. I am writing this review and then I’ll ponder my next steps. I think I am paying their extortion fee, then I’ll figure out how much I want to take on.

I hope someone else is able to learn from my frustrating experience.

I would not reccomend Eco Shild Pest Control. If you move or srvice is poor you CAN NOT CANCEL. Do not sign agreement with them what so ever.

Shady business that teaches their sales people to lie and lure women outdoors, for what? Who exactly knows. Beware!!

I've seen several tic toks in which the shady, vile men that work for this company, lie to lure women out of their homes. They will lie and say that you're dog got out or that they've seen someone sneaking around your property. This is disgusting, predatory behavior. Its going viral on tik tok! Don't keto these perverts anywhere near your property. Call the police ASAP!

My Technician Karl was very knowledgable, courteous, and informative. when ask to check an area on the basement floor that needed to be taken care of he did not hesitate to ensure that was done. He gave us a summary of the work that he completed. If you had to put a face of the logo or next to the Business it would be Karl. Great Job Karl !!!!

I wish I would have seen the previous reviews before signing with Eco Shield. When we signed up, we were told there was no contract - it was month to month service and we would have 4 visits per year. It didn't seem like anything different from what we had before. When I called the company to stop the service, I was told I had 3 more services to pay for before I could cancel. I agreed to the final 3 services at a lower rate and negotiated skipping the winter visit since there were no pest problems during that season. We finished the final 3 service and I thought we were done. Nope. I next get a text telling me another service visit has been scheduled and to call if I need to cancel. The text does NOT have a phone number. I called and was told this was my final visit and the cost would be lower yet. I allowed the visit and assumed we were done. NOPE. I received another text to schedule a few months later again with no contact number. This time I responded to the text and cancelled the appointment and talked to a "customer service representative". She informed me that ALL of my previous communication to cancel the account was not valid because we had not completed the contract. She finally agreed to cancel the contract while still trying to sell me on their services. No matter how many times I said no and told them they were not welcome at our home, she kept pushing. I finally did receive a cancellation email. Horrible, time wasting experience.

Today a man entered my garage to get my attention I opened the door and he said he wanted to tell me about the going on in the neighborhood. He had a tool belt and wanted to be talk I said I did not call you please leave. He would not get out of my garage. So I said loudly GET OUT OF MY GARAGE. He tried to approach me and said can I write down the name of the company, I SAID NO YOU CAN LEAVE. He would not so I told him leave or I will call the police. He said no walking toward me. with his hands open like I can write what I am saying on paper, I said GET OUT OF MY GARAGE NOW, OR I WILL CALL THE POLICE. He was mad saying things like well hope you have a better day and just went on and I said you should not come into a persons house without permission my garage is my home. I called a relative and they said go see if he is still out there. So I went and got a picture of the car down the street, and found him walking and he got smart to me as I tried to ask him questions about the company, his name and i started recording because he did then he started to record me and I said you do not have my permission to record, where is your company and what is there name he refused to answer. said your smart look it up yourself. google it. HIS NAME IS ELI AND I DO NOT TRUST HE WORKS FOR THE COMPANY AND IF HE DOES THEN I WILL MAKE SURE THEY KNOW..... SCARY BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT LEAVE WHEN ASKED.

I live in a neighborhood adjacent to the Pacific Palisades that has been open to through traffic since early February 2025. Ecoshield did not tell me that it froze my account due to the fires in Pacific Palisades. I phoned several months ago, and was told that service was being started again, which did not happen. I phoned them again today, and after being shuffled around from one useless representative to another, I was told that Ecoshield was unable to reach my home. When I firmly explained that my home had been accessible for months, I was told that the supervisor had decided that our area was inaccessible. It is impossible to deal with a company that has representatives (I wouldn't call them "customer service" because they don't service their customers) who refuse to listen to the customer. I will never deal with this company again, and I would recommend that you avoid dealing with them at all costs.

Seen a male in a neighbors yard cpl doors away. Shortly after, he comes down my gated driveway. Says he had a "cancellation" and has pest treatment to give away free. I told him how he got in, and he said the gate was open. Scam: He is doing door to door sales, with the opening line:"I had a cancellation and can spray your home for free". Did not let him get any further as we were on our way out and advised him of that. Funny thing is he did not have a truck with any noted pesticide to apply on a "scheduled" job which was "cancelled" last minute. Such a BULLSHIT appproach. If you need to BS to gain ones attention, that alone should tell you the integrity of a company. We definitely would not do business with any company that use deception, right out of the gate.

Complaint: Poor Service, Misleading Contracts, and Impossible Cancellation

My experience with this company has been extremely frustrating. The service was subpar—something I could’ve done myself with a spray from the hardware store. They barely did the minimum, and even that was done poorly.

Canceling was a nightmare. I was told up front that I could cancel anytime, but when I tried, they hit me with unexpected fees. I had to speak with multiple agents who kept trying to manipulate me into continuing the service, even though I clearly stated I wanted to cancel. It felt like a deliberate attempt to wear me down.

Worst of all, I never knowingly agreed to a long-term contract, yet somehow I was locked into one. I was told that I could cancel but not that I would be charged $150 to do so. Don’t trust what you’re told—read every bit of fine print. I feel completely misled. Don’t let them fool you like they fooled me.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! Definitely regretting my decision to sign a contract with them. When signing up the sales rep said it's a 1 year contract with quarterly treatments. 4 quarters in a year, simple math. After 3 treatments I called in September 2024 to cancel and the account. They said I still owed 2 more treatments unless I wanted to pay a cancellation fee. 2 treatments later I called to cancel and they're claiming I'm still required to do one more treatment. They are thieves plain and simple. I'll be filing a formal complaint with the BBB.

Please look at the Trust Pilot reviews, BBB complaints, and the Facebook and Yelp reviews as well before dealing with EcoShield. Be informed. A very young man approached us in our front yard trying to sell EcoShield pest control. He was nice, but in an annoying, pushy manner. He used the same fake marketing ploy others have experienced of how they service everyone in this area and can offer a discount. We needed some work done, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Told him I did not want to be locked into anything. He said no, we'd never do that. Come to find out, when signing their iPad that you can't even see outside in the sun or much less read the very small print, you are signing a 2-year contract with a $189+ penalty if you cancel, and they have you signing away your right to cancel within the 3 days that the FTC allows by law due to an "immediate need for services." Very, very shady sales tactics where they lie through their teeth just to get you to sign and do all they can to distract you from actually understanding their ridiculous contract. Fortunately, I escaped in time, but please be vigilant when these shady salesman from EcoShield approach you. Don't fall for their nonsense. Also, another pest control company we now have, Petti Pest Control, is HALF the cost and they are offering MORE services with no contracts and free cancellation. Petti Pest Control is absolutely exceptional!! Go with them!

***Update on 7/27/23 - EcoShield salesman returns AGAIN (different one) despite a no soliciting sign posted right next to the door they knocked on. These people are so annoying!

***Update on 8/28/23 - EcoShield salesman returns AGAIN (different one) today TWO different times despite a no soliciting sign posted right next to the door they knocked on (multiple times for several minutes), AND despite my calling them on 7/27/23 telling them my address and NOT to ever come back. Well, here we are! I told the same to the salesman today at the door and he just left with an arrogant grin on his face.

***Update on 5/23/25 - EcoShield salesman returns again to discuss this bad review, and once again ignores the no soliciting sign. My wife talked with him, and he was extremely pushy (borderline harassment) on why we did not choose to do business with EcoShield. We were NEVER a customer, and EcoShield was told countless times nearly TWO YEARS ago to never visit this property again, and here they are asking why we gave them a bad review back in June of 2023. These people are scum!!!

Two young men came to my home a week apart. Of course they're doing work in the neighborhood. They were polite but pushy, How many times can you say you're not interested. They finally saw I wasnt bending and from the reviews I read Im glad didnt. Ill spray my own house. Hope they got the message. If they come back again I will call the police. They tried to get in my house.

Do not use this business for anything. The customer service is absolutely terrible and you will never speak with anyone local or most likely even in our country no matter how many times you call. If you send an email it will be 100% ignored. I was not shown by the technician and the inspector both on separate occasions.

If I could leave negative stars I would do so. This has been a terrible experience
