We have just returned from 4+ weeks in South America with some of the most amazing memories.
The support and guidance provided by Matt and Ally from the initial enquiry, to the planning of the trip was second to none.
All of the hotels were in prime locations, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and the whole trip was stress free which allowed us to fully immerse in the experience.
We will thoroughly recommend Eclipse Travel to all of our friends and family and will definitely be in touch if we decide another South American adventure is on the cards.

They make it easy . Very helpful suggestions and great expertise. The tour guides they recommended were , friendly, knew all the best places to eat and had great tricks for skipping queues at tourist spots.

Mexico was fabulous. Eclipse organized our holiday exceptionally well. Pickups, guides to hotels were all perfectly coordinated.

Our south America trip was spectacular. We traveled to Peru, Ecuador, Brazil & Argentina. Blake from Eclipse Travel did a great job with our itinerary. The guides were first rate, with the exception of our Galapagos guide & the Galaxy cruise boat. Both were substandard & would not recommend them. The Amazon, Galapagos, Iguassu falls, Machu Pichu really had that wow factor. This is the third trip Eclipse Travel has arranged for us & it won't be the last, we could not recommend them highly enough. Many thanks to Blake & the team at Eclipse Travel.

Lara designed a fantastic holiday in Peru for us. Everything went exactly as planned and we had an amazing time. The companies and hotels used by Eclipse were excellent, particularly the wonderful guides who were very knowledgeable and experienced as well as being genuinely lovely people to spend time with. We loved every minute and highly recommend Eclipse Travel.

Our group of 5 friends (in our 60’s) had a great time but ultimately decided we were glad to get on the plane home and wouldn’t do it again. We had problems with luggage as our plane bookings went from Sydney to Arusha and we were staying in Johannesburg overnight - it took 1 1/2 hours to get our bags at the airport. Flights from Australia to Johannesburg need to be separate from flights within Africa. On another flight Precision Air left some bags behind as they had paying freight loaded instead. We weren’t advised they had done this and just stood waiting at carousel, eventually went to office and were advised our bags would arrive the next day. Stone town in Zanzibar was great- fantastic mix of architecture and cultures. The Royal resort in Zanzibar told us there was a problem with our room, sent us to another resort nearby. Lovely resort but rooms were considerably cheaper. Food was either poor or extremely slow. When we checked trip advisor saw this had happened before.
Whilst on safari in the Serengeti, visited a Maasai village. Our group was broken up, leaving one female alone with a male Maasai guide. We were whisked off before we realised what was going on. We felt pressure to buy trinkets and were hugely ripped off. We laughed about it at the time but felt it was poor. Had no real desire to visit the village anyway as we knew it was all for the tourists. We should have said we didn’t want to go.
We visited Victoria Falls - magnificent but our guide gave us some information but was clearly uninterested and walked briskly ahead of us.
Tipping info given by Eclipse was vastly underestimated. Virtually everyday there were more tips, sometimes 4 lots, more than we expected. This meant we needed more cash than expected. Over 3 weeks I think tips came to more than $1000 Aus. Don’t know if this is average or not. Definitely not what we expected.
Our safari driver/guide with Hakims tours was exceptional. Safe, considerate and extremely knowledgeable. We were in the 4x4 safari truck from 8:00 til 16:00 - 17:00 each day with about an hour picnic lunch. Great for animal viewing but very tiring. On safari the tent lodges were great experiences with excellent fresh food. The resorts with magnificent grounds had some meals which were quite poor quality.

I am very happy with the service and follow ups from Eclipse. My check in with my ticket went smoothly, I had requested specific seating and it was all done for me by my consultant Ally. I must say I will definitely recommend Eclipse to my friends and family.

The itinerary was well planned and executed. The guides at all locations were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Just came back from my second trip organised with Eclipse. This time we went to the Amazon and the Route of Emotions in the NE of Brazil. Everything was very well organised, always on time, professional, safe and fun. Can't recommend enough. Accomodation was perfect for our needs and good value.

Everything was smooth and extremely well coordinated- no hiccups and a very memorable holiday indeed!

Your organisation of flights, accommodation, connections and tours was spot on and everything ran incredibly smoothly. Acclimatization and rest days were spaced correctly and the suggestion of the Salkantay Trek with the upgraded accommodation was excellent. Can I also thank you for the extra information that you were able to supply me because of your local knowledge of Peru trekking in general. It made the second half of my trip so much more enjoyable. To have an advisor who had been there on the ground made such a difference and your advice was invaluable. So thank you!

It was a flawless itinerary, hotel choices were subject to debate with eclipse but were great.

We had an amazing adventure in Botswana. The Eclipse team were great at designing a tour appropriate for our needs and giving advice. They were absolutely spot on with the variety of experiences. All went smoothly when we were aways too. Big thank you to Luke who designed our itinerary!

Blake did a fantastic job understanding what we were looking for and arranging an itinerary to match.

The Victoria Falls, Chobe, Khwai, Okavango itinerary was diverse in style and lodging, as we had hoped. The guides, food and accommodation were perfect from our point view. It goes without saying that the wildlife was spectacular, plentiful and marvelous.

The package - the mix of game lodges meant we could really experience Botswana/Okavango in its full array. The accommodation was top notch, the guides amazing, and the connections seamless. I went desperately hoping for a leopard sighting. I got 7. Good luck, yes, but good guides too.
This is the second time we have travelled with Eclipse and we will go again.
