Scam - avoid!

I ordered a Motowatch100 from them. The watch arrived in less than a week, but turned out faulty, so I went online to find a way to request a return authorisation to get refunded.

Their motowatch.com website is rubbish, with untested UI and false information (e.g. there's no online chat, their Facebook page doesn't exist, their Twitter account doesn't accept direct messages, etc.) When I managed to submit a request online, navigating through a half-broken web-form, this was the response email I received:

FREETALK Phone Adapter for Skype

I ordered the FreeTalk phone adapter on the 3rd May 2012, I tested the item shortly after receiving and unfortunately the device wouldn't connect to the telephone handset so I thought it might be my handset so I tried two other handsets with the same results, so I contacted ebuynow and after many emails it seemed to be a known problem I required a different phone cable which would be sent to me (all going well[ish]) so I waited for the cable and waited much more so I emailed again, I was told it would be in the warehouse soon, so I yes waiting some more, then I received an email stating that the item was in the warehouse and it would be shipped in the next 7-10days (great I thought), so again I waiting some more, them after more than the 7-10days I still didn't have the item so I checked the website and it was still at the warehouse, I have emailed again and am yes waiting some more. So finally it has now been nearly 3 months and I have not be able to use the device and am still waiting, so I would say if you can get the item somewhere else don’t buy it from ebuynow, if you have to buy from them cross your fingers and hope.

eBuyNow stands behind their sales

My experience with eBuyNow ended up being very good.

I ordered a Skype product from them and due to a series of issues, it ended up taking a day short of 3 weeks to actually receive the product. There were also problems with the tracking information.

I had been corresponding with eBuyNow regarding the issues and the lack of progress. The customer service manager at eBuyNow responded to me saying that they took full responsibility for the issues, even those that were out of their control, and would make it right.

They gave me a substantial refund and said I should keep the product anyway. They are also investigating the issues to try to prevent them from happening again.

While I can't say I was happy about the delay, I was very impressed that the company took responsibility for it's actions and stood behind it's product.

I would definitely shop with them again.
