Absolutely horrible customer service

Absolutely horrible customer service. And they have a nerve to call themselves a luxury brand. What a joke. Do not waste your time.
They dragged my replacement until warranty expired and then they said sorry, your warranty is no longer active. And parts are never in stock.
I wish I could give them zero stars.

The hairdryer broke after only 3 years. I called customer service. There is no local support. They want me to ship the product to them, and I would get it back after about 10 days. The repair cost is €125 (in theory it could just be a problem with the filter, since it keeps shutting off). Other acquaintances of mine have had the same issue. Clearly, it’s a product defect. I tried to leave a review on their website from my account, but it’s not possible. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED./L'asciugacapelli si è rotto dopo soli 3 anni. Ho chiamato l'assistenza. Non c'è assistenza sul territorio. Vogliono che gli spedisca il prodotto che rieavrei dopo 10 gg circa. Il costo della riparazione è 125€ (in teoria potrebbe anche solo essere un problema col filtro, visto che si spegne in continuazione. Anche altre mie conoscenti hanno avutro lo stesso problema. Evidentemente è un difetto del prodotto. Ho provato a lasciare una recenzione sul lori sito dal mio account e non è possibile farlo. ESPERIENZA PESSIMA. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO.

My hairdryer stopped working!!!!

My hairdryer stopped working, so I contacted Dyson customer service. They confirmed it was under warranty and said they would send a prepaid shipping label. After ten days with no label, I called again and spent another hour on the phone. Communication was extremely difficult, but eventually they again confirmed the machine needed to be sent in and assured me it would be repaired within 14 days.

To save time, I drove an hour to the repair store. James inspected the unit, then asked for proof of purchase. I explained that customer service had already confirmed the warranty and documented everything. He said the date in the system was “just something an agent put in,” and that the store was “above them,” so he still needed proof. He also said the circuit board was broken and Dyson doesn’t supply parts for that issue. When I asked the next step, he told me to call customer service again—despite claiming the store outranks them.

I left the machine because I couldn’t make another long trip. When I contacted customer service again, they repeated the same refusal, now insisting on proof of purchase despite previously approving the warranty and issuing a shipping label.

This inconsistent and unprofessional experience is extremely disappointing. Dyson initially confirmed my warranty, but the store contradicted them and refused service, leaving me without support or a solution.

Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool PH03

I honestly can’t believe I’m writing a review like this, especially about Dyson. I’ve been a loyal customer for years — I own two Dyson vacuums, two hair dryers, and I’ve bought their products as gifts more times than I can count. So when I found the Dyson Purifier Humidify+Cool PH03 at a discounted price (refurbished, with a 6-month Dyson warranty), I felt completely safe buying it. I even purchased extra protection on top of that.

And then everything fell apart.

Just one week after getting the unit, it suddenly demanded a deep clean. Fine — things happen. I followed every single instruction perfectly. But the “60-minute” deep clean turned into 60 HOURS. Sixty hours! And after all that, the purifier still didn’t work.

That’s when the real nightmare started.

I emailed Dyson immediately. No answer.
I emailed again. Nothing.
Four emails later — still complete silence.

Only when the warranty finally expired did Dyson respond… just to tell me that it wasn’t their problem anymore. That’s it. No help, no solutions, nothing.

I’ve never felt so dismissed by a company I trusted so much. This purifier now just sits in my home, completely useless — I can’t use it, I can’t repair it, and Dyson clearly doesn’t care.

It honestly breaks my heart to say this, but the way Dyson treated me was disrespectful and incredibly disappointing. I never thought a company with such a good reputation would ignore their customers like this.

It's really quite bad

It's really quite bad. Only way to talk with them about an issue is chat - and they can not provide any real information - only canned responses. I sent my Dyson WashG1 for repair on October 30 and have tried to follow up with the repair depot in Calgary multiple times - they can only say that it is still within the 4 week repair window - but other than that, they have no idea where my Dyson WashG1 is, or if it's even being worked on.

I’ve been really disappointed with a…

I’ve been really disappointed with a consistent issue in my Dyson hair dryer. This is now my second device where the same nozzle attachment just keeps breaking or losing its ability to fit properly. It’s not just a one-off problem—my friend has had the exact same experience. So, this seems like a design flaw that definitely needs attention.

I’ve reached out to Dyson many times about this issue, but they always say there’s nothing they can do. At this point, I’m not sure I’m willing to buy a third Dyson. The same nozzle attachment keeps breaking or stops fitting properly, and it has happened on two devices already. My friend has the exact same problem, so it really feels like a design flaw that hasn’t been addressed.

do NOT buy Dyson blow dryer

I bought a Dyson blow dryer two years ago and—like clockwork—just two months after the warranty ended, it stopped working. This is now my second Dyson dryer to fail the exact same way (the first was a gift). Their customer service is awful: scripted questions, robotic answers, and zero real help.
For $400, a company should stand behind its product. Meanwhile, my 15-year-old $20 Conair is still going strong.
Save your money. These are unreliable, overpriced, and the company does NOT stand behind what they sell.
Do NOT buy.

Avoid the robots

I have bought Dyson since becoming an adult who appreciates quality and can afford to pay for it. I currently own the hair dryer, straightener, humidifier, cordless vacuum and air purifier. I bought the 360 vis nav robot in May 2025. I had to exchange it in August as it had an error that couldn’t be repaired. It’s November 2025 and another error that 2 interactions with tech support and promised call backs have not resolved. Avoid the robots.

Poor Customer Service: Defective Brand New Dyson V12 Vacuum

My brand new Dyson V12 Detect Slim vacuum purchased from the Dyson website was delivered today. It was extremely difficult to attach the wand to the motor/dust bin. To empty the dust bin, the motor/bin assembly must be detached from the wand. It required 2 people to pull it apart using the button that should easily release the wand. I contacted Dyson, who required me to participate in a video call to provide proof that the machine did not work as advertised. Once we finished the video, I was informed that while they would replace the parts, HOWEVER, both parts were out of stock and they didn't know when they would be restocked. I suggested they replace the brand new (arrived today) defective vacuum. After being placed on hold again, this was approved, HOWEVER, I had to return the defective vacuum first and once it was received and checked in at the Dyson warehouse, a replacement would be initiated, likely taking 2 weeks. All this with Thanksgiving next week, and me with no vacuum. I have no interest in dealing with a company that provides such poor customer service so I am returning the defective unit and will purchase a different brand.

RETURNS ARE A NIGHTMARE

Placing an order was easy, and the product shipped promptly. However, if you think you may need to return the item, you may rethink your purchase. First, you have to jump through several hoops to initiate the return, and I had to escalate my second request to get them to finally respond. In the end, they will take several weeks after receiving your return before issuing a credit to your bank card. Basically, the don't want to take their products back and will punish you accordingly

DO NOT BUY A DYSON HAIR DRYER

I was gifted a dyson hair dryer for Christmas last year, less than a year later it just shuts off in the middle of blow drying my hair and takes hours to be able to turn back on. I contacted support as the hairdryer is supposed to be under warranty for 2 years. They want me to either drive 2 hours away to a dyson service center, or mail mine in and it can take up to 6 weeks to get back but they will not give me a replacement in the meantime so I would have to buy another one anyway! The person from customer service was completely unhelpful, rude, and didnt solve any issue. If this was a $50 dollar hair dryer I would understand but these are supposed to be superior and cost it! I am completely frustrated and wasted 2 hours on the phone for nothing.

Dyson Cust Serv-TERRIBLE

I ordered a new hair dryer and when I went to use it, it would not advance past the first heat setting. I spent 45 min on the phone with customer service to confirm. They sent me a return shipping label and said expect 15 days until I receive a new hair dryer?? Why wouldn't they overnight a new one, since the retail price was $549?? No exceptions?

Dyson stole and kept my property (vacuum)

Submitted exchange March 26, 2025, followed up on the phone over a dozen times in months that followed. Last contact in Summer 20225 with no resolution or response. My Dyson V11 handheld vacuum (RRP $629.99) head broke and Dyson asked me to send my whole machine (motor body that was working fine and the broken head attachment) so they send me an exchange. I had Dyson V11 machines. I sent the motor body, along with the broken head (turns out the functioning motor body I sent was not the one they noted down they were expecting - different serial number - but otherwise the same machine, model). I did send them the broken part - the head. My mistake for sending the wrong motor body serial number to what they wrote down. They then refused to send me a replacement because I sent them the 'wrong' motor body (which was working). They also have not returned my 'wrongly sent' machine, effectively stealing my machine worth $629.99. I have called many times, was told the return of my machine has to be approved by 'another department' who never replied to the customer service team or me. Every time I called they said they followed up with the team who will reply within a few days - they never did. I also had one of their customer service managers 'Ricardo' yell at me and hang up, telling me I did not purchase the broken machine from them (that I was lying) - he then called me back and said he found my original order in the legacy system they have since retired and migrated to a new one. Submitted case to BB Bureau who facilitated two message exchanges with Dyson and closed the case because Dyson replied "We’re unable to return items that have been sent to Dyson." They have stolen and kept my working Dyson motor.

I was excited to try Dyson because…

I was excited to try Dyson because everyone talks about how good their products are. The vacuum works well and looks nice, but honestly, I expected more for the price. After a few months, the battery started running out faster, and getting a replacement wasn’t as easy as I thought. Not terrible, but definitely not as amazing as I hoped.

Dyson Vacuum Suction Power Issue Not Resolved by Service, Unable to Get Support

I have been using the Dyson Gen 5 vacuum for about 1.5 years, and I purchased the product from Dyson’s official store. For the last 6 months, I have noticed a significant decrease in suction power, and this issue occurs with every use. I have sent the vacuum to service twice under warranty, but the problem remains unresolved and continues as before. Additionally, I have been having difficulty reaching customer support and have been unable to get assistance.

I request that my product be either replaced or that the issue be permanently fixed.
