Still awaiting reply from complaint!!!

We used this company to book a family vacation in August. We found the apartment to be unclean and dirty and did certainly not reflect the cost of the accommodation. I emailed the company and attached photographs of the apartment as evidence. I am still awaiting a response from them!!!
Awful customer service and once they have received payment from you are less enthusiastic to speak to you.

We are on our last day at grey roofs in…

We are on our last day at grey roofs in perranporth,we have stayed here many times before and each time we love it a little bit more.Its so tranquil with beautiful gardens, and so much space in the house, close to the beach within easy walking distance.Thankyou to the owners for allowing us to stay in their lovely house.Sad to be going back to normality but we will be back.

Avoid this company like the plague they…

Avoid this company like the plague they are happy to take over £3300 from you for a weeks accommodation but when there is a problem ignore your emails and do not return your deposit. The cleaner turned up at exactly our leaving time as we had locked up the property to go and was incredibly rude and unprofessional to our party her husband sat staring at us whilst vaping in front of our kids, she then sent 2 photos of "damage" to the property. One was a stain on the base of the bed which she claims was from our dog urinating on it! 1 our dog has hip dysplasia so cannot go upstairs!! and 2 this stain was already on the bed when we arrived and 3 a perfect semi circle shape.
The other photo was not even taken in the property we stayed in!
I have sent several emails over the last 48 hours which have been completely ignored so I am now seeking legal advice. This is not how i hoped my 50th birthday celebrations would go!
I have used other holiday companies in Cornwall over the last few years and always been complimented on leaving the property clean and tidy.
We stayed in Virginia House which smelt of urine when we arrived, particularly strongly by the glass doors. There was dust and dirt underneath the sofas, chairs and beds it was clear it had not been cleaned thoroughly. The window sills and blinds were dirty too with dead insects. The cleaner complained that she had too tight a turnaround! Not our problem when we had paid a lot of money to stay there.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed. We sent you an email with queries from the cleaner after vacation of Virginia House on Thursday 5th August and then we received your emails of concerns at 16.29pm the same evening. This gave us very little chance to deal with the issues that your encountered on holiday that day. Our initial email was asking about the bed stain, which is why we contacted you first to find out your thoughts on the matter. We had not made any accusation toward you or discussed your security deposit at this point.

We do not manage the cleaning, so we are unable to comment on your encounter with the cleaners but we have forward your comments to the owner to deal with immediately.

We weren’t advised by you of the stain until after your stay, if you had contacted us during your holiday this would have been dealt with at the beginning of your stay. We would have also arranged for a housekeeper to visit asap, if you had informed us of the cleanliness issues when you found them.

As you can appreciate, it is an extremely busy time in the height of peak season at our office, but rest assured we take concerns like this very seriously and act on them as a matter of urgency. Hence why we contacted you when the cleaner found issues on your departure, to ensure that the next guests had a fault free holiday.

Perranporth Villa No. 1

We stayed at Perranporth Villa No. 1. Lovely location and the owner and family live above who are also very friendly.
However, something needs to be done about the sofas in the living room (very low and saggy) and the lumpy bed in the main bedroom which was very uncomfortable.
We have rebooked as it is spacious and affords everyone some privacy

12 Penvenen Atlantic Bay Apts Perranporth

Just returned from a week in 12 Penvenen. We were a bit apprehensive given a couple of previous reviews but we had a great week! The sofas previously mentioned have been replaced with brown leather reclining sofas which are very comfortable. The apartment is spacious with good size bedrooms and a large lounge / diner that comfortably accommdated all 6 of us. The apartment is in very good condition (its not perfect with scuffs here and there but that is to be expected in a letting apartment because it cannot be painted after every stay!) and it had everything we needed in terms of washing machine, dishwasher, etc. The hot water is in a tank, but we were able to all have hot showers after surfing before it ran out. Perranporth has a fantastic beach, bar on the beach, dog friendly and some good little shops and takeaways, basically everything you need for a great family holiday and we will be booking 12 penvenen again next year!

We have just returned home from a weeks…

We have just returned home from a weeks stay at penvenen 12 atlantic bay in perranporth this was going to be a special holiday to celebrate my mum fighting breast cancer and also celebrating my mum and dad 40th wedding anniversary but within 15 minutes of getting the keys from duchy holidays and entering the apartment I was on the phone to duchy because the two sofas had big tears in them then we noticed big stain on bedroom carpet nd the initials LT burnt into the carpet we informed them straight away because 1 we weren't happy with what we had walked into after paying an awful lot of money. And 2 because we didn't want to be blamed for this. I have photos of the damage as requested by duchy I sent photos in an email to them and all I got back was thank you this has been reported no offer of a replacement sofa or discount there was still dirty soap left in the shower and rubbish in the bedroom bins. Were just grateful for the nice weather we had so we didn't have to stay in the apartment all day. Also there was 6 of us my partner myself and my 2 children and my parents we found it difficult to do our own things as we only had one key so had to plan every day also with 6 in the property it was a race for showers and baths before the hot water ran out or it would be a 2 hour wait before there was hot water again very very disappointed.
Still waiting for an email from duchyholidays!!!!! I can assure you I have NOT received an email.

Wow received email from duchyholidays saying that they knew about the sofas already and new ones had been ordered but would take 4 weeks for delivery and sending cheque for £50 as a gesture. So how come when I rang up as soon as we got in and seen the rips they said that nothing had been reported and asked me to send them pictures in email as they knew nothing about it so I did. I still have the email i received back saying thank you for your email and pictures this has NOW been reported sounds like they are trying to cover there own backs i wonder how long the sofas have been like that i wonder how long duchy have known about them and i wonder how many deposits they've kept back because of them absolute joke absolute insult £50 from them as a good will gesture absolute joke of a company would not recomend these at all

Let down for my 50th birthday.

Booked a 2019 Sat to Sat holiday through this site requested dates told us was available, booked paid deposit was then told change over was Friday to Friday.So we comprised. A week later had email saying holiday was cancelled. First said owners needed property then double booked.
Don't bother if you want to be let down. Doesn't tell you change over days, and the holiday is still available to book. Real pain have to request to book, wait.Then pay deposit then wait for owner to confirm, then pay deposit again as first time just holds payment. Then they cancel.
