MultiChoice Engages in Unlawful Cold Calling
I have asked this company On Air TV used by Multichoice multiple times to remove me from their database. I have NOT provided them with my contact details, yet they are cold calling me.
This is against the POPI Act. As a result of this company’s actions, I will not use Multichoice or any of their related products or services. I will also report them to the POPIA Regulator. I will also be posting complaints against your partner On Air TV.
Live Chat support is pathetic
Their Live chat support managers are lazy and rude. If you hate your job that much, find another one. Don't project your pitiful life on potential customers who want to know more information about the service (that's already overpriced anyway) before subscribing the premium package.
Incompetent helpdesk agents
For 17days I am trying to get assistance ftom DSTV . Spend more than 3 hours on the cellphone with 11 agents to try and solve a problem witn no success. The message reafs PROXIMITY ERROR
Cannot stream on this device as another device is streaming in your home network and this device is outside you home network.
I have changed passwork, logged in and out for numerous times and the problem is the same 17 days later..

The dstv stream updated version is horrible!! Why is it that when you select a show to watch in TV shows, it starts by showing “episode 1” I think it would be better if it started with the latest episode going backwards to the oldest because what do you mean I have to scroll (that is not even scrolling I have to click on that “next” arrow) through 170 episodes to get to the latest episode!?? This is getting boring now! Fix it! 😤

Dstv has a technical fault and expects customers to give them their password to reset it.
The call centre agent who could not explain why they required a customer to give personal passwords to a stranger point blank refused to escalate to a supervisor / manager.

Their consultant said he knew nothing about this despite the wide publicity!! He promised he would phone me back which he has failed to do. DSTV is an atrocious company
DSTV Rewards a CON!
Claimed a reward in JUNE that didn't work, I have posted on HelloPeter and received a reply from DSTV that they would respond "shortly". This was 2 months ago and I am still waiting! It's not just that their "rewards" program appears to be a complete deception and swindle in order to boost their membership with fallacious claims, but their level of customer service in responding and trying to keep loyal customers as members is absolutely non-existent. Their rewards program is obviously a con.

I bought DSTV streaming to watch the Olympics. As much of the broad casting live. I did not pay that huge amount to listen to random commentators, whose microphones don't work, talk nonsense. Show me the athletics.
