The buying process went smoothly and worked well but the vehicle is another matter. Despite being given a clean car fax report on the vehicle at purchase it turned out to be anything but a clean vehicle. About 10 days after purchase the car started overheating routinely. We took it to a Kia dealership where they had to replace the fan. The problem continued and taking it back to Kia who said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it didn’t solve the problem. After 5 months of this we took it to a different mechanic who called within a few hours and said that the head gasket was gone and that it was failing the cylinder compression test badly. He informed us that there was so much rust in the cylinders and all over the motor that the only thing to reasonable do is to replace the entire engine. He told us that this kind of damage usually only result from a vehicle being submerged i.e. flood damage. None of this was disclosed at the time of purchase and now we have a vehicle we can’t drive but must continue to pay for. I would be very careful buying a vehicle from this company. I’m sure that we won’t be doing it again.

I ended up not buying a car from DriveTime, but just wanted to say their customer service (even for window shoppers) was great. They followed up on my questions and concerns. Everyone was friendly and worked to help me look for the right vehicle.

Drive Time does not approve everyone. They lie on their website to get you to come in. The website approved me (lol) for a $99 down payment with a $542 a month car payment. When I went in the told me I needed $9,000 down or they couldn't help me. If I had that much money laying around what would I need Drive Time for?

This is an update. I previously rated the customer assistance/sales process as extremely good. This is for the absent aftercare and warranty debacle. I drove my newly purchased vehicle 250 miles. At the 51 mile mark the tire pressure sensor failed. The plastic cover protecting the undercarriage broke at 200 miles and was dragged down the highway because I had nowhere to pull off. Apparently that isn't covered by warranty. The after sale phone call never happened as discussed.

This dealership was unable to help me without a very hefty down payment. Very misleading and disappointing to say the least. Get your hopes all up and then deny you. If you need a car NO MATTER YOUR SITUATION , go to Cars Plus, LLC. on Gordon Hwy.., You will get a car at a GREAT rate regardless of your circumstances so you can ACTUALLY pay it off while building good credit and not setting you up for failure or giving you false hope.
