After I purchased a 3-year DreamPress 1 account, there was a tiny glitch with uninstalled files. Jewel and Arnold had everything fixed up just right in record time. The Customer Support is great!

Best support from any hosting company (personal and agency to experience)
I have hosted with Dreamhost for just over 20 years and worked with several hosting companies since. I have always been really grateful for such immediate help whether it's by chat which I use most often, or through email. After this recent experience when chat must have been overwhelmed, the email response was incredibly responsive and extremely thoughtful.
Tech support is the most important consideration. Problems crop up and as a designer my tech skills only go so far and it's the reason I've left other services. For my new business I tried other hosting companies more to test for the agency I work with but ended up coming back to DH. At some point I will outgrow my plan, (hopefully) and there are a few directions I can take. I never feel like they push their services like other companies (also a pro) and there's a reason they've been around as long as they have.
DreamHost has poor customer service
DreamHost has poor customer service, not only do they not get back to you on a timelymanner, but offer no solution. I paid a year worth of service and never got to used it once. The password to open the service I paid for, had to be reset it each time I need it to log in. This was a waste of time, also they never refunded me my moneyback.

Brilliant support in resolving a complex issue
I contacted support with a complex issue on my webite that I couldn't resolve myself. Sifa on the DreamHost Tech Support Team got right back to me with a sophisticated understanding of the back end of my site, pointed me towards the change to one of the PHP settings that I could make to fix the problem I was having, and even included links to several articles so that I could learn more about the issue and the fix. I'm so pleased with the service, and the support.

DreamHost has hosted my blog site and managed my domain email addresses for several years. Usually all is well, but when I report any glitch, customer support is quick to respond courteously. Recently I received repeated email messages about unauthorized attempts to reset the WordPress admin password. I’ve been waiting almost two weeks for DreamHost’s technical support to fix my web hosting account. I used Remixer to design a few sites and it now has me locked out of all my websites with no ability to edit them or make any changes. I can’t seem to get anyone to give me any answers other than they don’t know and the remixer platform is new.

I’ve been with DreamHost for over 10 years, and in that time I’ve only needed to contact support once or twice. Back then, responses could take a while, which I put down to a growing company.
Yesterday, I made a serious mistake — I accidentally deleted a client’s production domain, thinking it was no longer in use. Completely my fault.
The client’s support team reached out to DreamHost, and within 15 minutes they had forwarded the request to me. I attempted to restore the DNS records myself, but because the domain was already in a deletion state, I couldn’t do anything.
I then contacted DreamHost support directly, provided the correct records, and within minutes they had restored the domain back to a fully working production state.
I was genuinely blown away by the speed, professionalism, and lack of back-and-forth. No fuss, no delays — just a quick, effective resolution to a potentially major issue.
It’s incredibly reassuring to know they’ve got my back when it matters most.
