Disappointing, incorrectly advised and poor delivery

I ordered a particular bottle of whisky as a gift for a colleague as I was told by one of your staff members that it came in a nice presentation tin.

Unfortunately, the item arrived as just the bottle, with no tin included.

On top of that, after six days with no update - despite the payment being taken - I had to chase the order myself, only to be told the item was out of stock. While a replacement was sent promptly after that, the overall experience felt like unnecessary hassle, especially considering I paid an additional £5 for delivery.

Based on this experience, I’ll likely stick to ordering through Amazon in future.

bad customer service

Ordered a bottle of whiskey and was delivered to a wrong address. I contacted them and was told they would contact the courier to resolve the mistake. (It seems the company name was missed on the delivery label and this has been delivered to the other company you mentioned, I will contact DPD and see if they can collect this and deliver correctly or if they can return to us and we can resend) Since then they refused to reply my emails and never received my bottle. Poor customer service.

Great products, quick delivery, well packed

I've started to get too comfortable with Douglas Laing, its all too easy.

I've maybe ordered 3 or 4 times online. Packing is great and delivery spot on. I of course enjoy their products, Big Peat mainly although a recent purchase of Scallywag surprised me, another option.

My only (small) gripe would be that I ordered a couple of Mizunara Editions and the bottle boxes on those were really poor, much worse than the standard tube box of the basic Big Peat. Not ideal on a £150 bottle/gift.

Great Customer Service

To cheer myself up, I ordered what looked to be a great bottle of Scotch. Delivery was very fast and efficient and I was very impressed. However, when I opened to box, the bottle was leaking, I presume at manufacture, and had also heavily stained the inside of presentation tube. I sent an email, and Aishling in customer services arranged for collection the following day free of charge and arranged for delivery of replacement when they had received the damaged bottle. I cannot fault the customer service Aishling provided, she went above and beyond, and I am very happy to have received my replacement bottle.
