Their customer service is really bad. I made payment and asked them to get back to me but one response. They use to be fast and efficient but lately it seems more like a scam of a company. I've already file a dispute claim with my credit card company against their company.

These people gave me a disclaimer about giving medical advice instead of medical advice. They signed me up for repeat monthly payments on PAYPAL that I might not have noticed for years.

Only interested in money, will not provide any written record of advice! Avoid!!

On 2/5/25, I contacted “Ask a Doctor” to get an answer for my question. I was
informed the charge would $5. So, I
asked a simple question, got a simple answer, and then I saw that my credit card was dinged for $46! Honestly, that
transaction smacks to me as a “Bait and Switch” ploy, and I respectfully ask
for a refund of $41so that we can part
on friendly terms.

I worked with Dr. Sagar Makode, specializing in cardiology. The quality of the communication was excellent, which is not something one can say about all online doctor services. He clearly knows his discipline and patiently answered my detailed questions. There are some antiquated promotions on the web site which are no longer offered as of this writing. They need to clean up a web page, in short. But the value one looks for in a service like this is the confidence and clarity in the answers one receives. And on this front, Doctor Spring excels.

Great communication and response time is very important. Allowing a couple of follow-up questions is also extremely helpful. Medical follow-up Questions which for some reason I just can't get from my own provider as they seem to put up so many Shields/ dividers between myself and the specialist especially when it comes to radiology. I guess they assume the lay person doesn't have the knowledge which is not always a good assumption. I really appreciate. Dr. Makode's (a cardiologist with Doctorspring) response to my query was thorough and accessible. It was delivered in less than 24 hours. I had new information (from wrist monitor) about a cardiac parameter I wasn't previously aware of. I wasn't sure of its significance. Dr. Makode put the new information in context, allowing me to make an informed decision about next steps.

Before I paid I thought I would be talking to a doctor based in the States with a board certification there. The old bait and switch. In addition, the doctor seemed to contradict a good bit of information that I had gathered from other doctors. As I am dealing with a very serious issue it is distressing. I dont know- I am not a doctor, but it seems strange that it was such a different opinion.

Today my bank identified a fraudulent transaction on my credit card but instructed me to contact Ask a Doctor. They asked me for a £5 membership fee before they would give me any kind of assistance regarding a FRAUDULENT transaction. I am not at all impressed.
EMBARRASSED UPDATE; this was for a membership which I didn't know about or had forgotten. AAD have within 2 hours replied, cancelled, and refunded. I have therefore upgraded them to 5*.

This is an excellent service and worth every penny. High standards of care in my experience.

I underwent surgery in April 2022 and had a lot of questions and concerns, especially because although there was improvement in my condition, the surgery was not a 100% success. Dr. Susanka responded quickly to all my questions and concerns and helped me understand the very unusual clinical aspects of my case. He was very informative and in the end I felt confident that my treating physician did an excellent job in caring for me. Yes it takes a little longer to respond I.e 4hrs or so. But the time waited is WORTH IT.
