My experience with DM Design has been a very bad one. This is a company with the worst customer service in Glasgow. I was sent a salesperson who mis-sold information regarding the installation/products warranty. This information was what motivated my interest in having a new bathroom installed by them rather than using other bathroom companies. If I have had a true picture of the warranty, my decision to change my bathroom would have not happened as there are so many bathroom companies cheaper with a reasonable quote/warranty.

To cut long story short, due to the mis-sold information from the salesperson, the company board of directors was consulted who gave a compensation of an extended full 5-year installation warranty.

Thanks to Naz and Matt who saved the face of this company by doing a very a clean job and consulted my opinion on every step of the installation. Their service is second to none, very knowledgeable and lovely gentlemen.

Naz will be my only reason of recommending this company to my friends. If no Naz in DM Design, no point considering this company as you will get no value for your money. Well-done Naz and continue the good work you are doing. You are an asset to this company and my reason for the 5🌟

Nothing is too much bother. Gary explained everything from the start of the project to the end. Everyone I dealt with has been pleasant, helpful and polite.

Fitted wardrobes fitted by Péter Tornyi today and what a wonderful job, so happy with his work. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone work so hard and his attention to detail is fantastic. What a lovely guy and a credit to DM Design. Thank you Peter

Nothing was too much trouble for our designer, after 3 or 4 lots of changes. Good design ideas, accommodated all of our needs. Very prompt replies to emails. And a very good quality kitchen as a end result. Already recommended DM design to a friend.

The fitted wardrobe and bedside drawers are fantastic. The guys who fitted/installed are brilliant and the nicest people. They went out of their way and the extra mile to produce exactly what we wanted. The whole process from sales to surveyor, excellent communication and of course the guys, all amazing.
We are so happy with the end result.

Really wished I had taken the time to research this company in details and read most of the reviews online before engaging them to fit our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. First and foremost, from the minute the invoice was paid and fitting commenced, communication and coordination of the job completely failed. I have highlighted the lack of communication and the frustration it was causing, and absolutely no one took responsibility for communicating. Amidst fitting the bathroom, the plumber told us he had a weeks and half holiday planned and no one else within the company was available to continue to work - and off he went; leaving us to our fate a with one bathroom half way done and another completely ripped; thereby extending the timescales of the Job. As if that was not enough, the electrician left a few of the electrical works in the kitchen undone and promised to come back almost 3 weeks ago. DM design destroyed the walls and ceilings of our kitchen & living room and claim they don’t paint but plastered the walls so badly that we had to bring some other professional in to redo the work. I strongly advise anyone considering to use DM Design for any work to read this review and take it on board.

Update: you have messaged me to contact you to discuss this further not even directly but through your customer service numbers! Can someone at least manage to take responsibility for once in this Company?

I have been working with Gary to help try and find the perfect kitchen for my first home in Glasgow. He is extremely knowledgeable and helps to build bespoke ideas within your budget. I feel well supported and safe with the company, and would highly recommend!

We are at the early stages of our kitchen install, we have just had Gary round to discuss our options.
He was really helpful, very knowledgeable regarding what would or wouldn't work, made suggestions that we hadn't considered and helped design a kitchen that will more than meet our needs. If the rest of the service lives up to this visit then we will be extremely happy.

Cannot recommend DM design enough! The kitchen design was exactly what we needed and looks beautiful. Everything arrived on time and installed perfectly.

Would highly recommend. From the first phone call, design appointment, surveyor appointment and the fitting DM designs were fantastic, very friendly and explained the process throughly. DM designs may be slightly more expensive than others but you definitely pay for what you get and the quality of my new fitted wardrobes are fantastic and finish off my new home perfectly!

Delighted with my new kitchen. From start to finish I was impressed with the polite, professional approach by all involved and the timely efficient service carried out by the friendly fitters. They cleaned up everything at end of each day and took away all the excess refuse. Which was another plus.
Would highly recommend.

There was nowhere else we could find the exact worktop or units we wanted for a refit of kitchen and reno of living room. So we hoped to have one of the better experiences… we’ve paid for that decision in every way imaginable.

More than 75 emails and only fewer calls as I gave that up due to even less value than their written word. I’m now at a loss, so pray the ombudsman help. Therefore despite fear of retribution for an honest review, we have to share to help others hopefully avoid the same fate.

Kitchen started Oct ‘21 (£11.5k for relatively small area, no appliances). Despite 7 months to ‘finish’, which still isn’t to acceptable standard but we can’t take any more, it was charged in full because ‘payment on delivery’. Beware of this T&C for credit customers - they force you to sign for delivery, even an incomplete one. As we discovered it means your credit acct is activated. Meaning DMD now have full payment. Imagine - lucky them, receiving what’s contracted AND in the agreed timescale?! PS tough luck that the interest free period therefore also starts, despite MANY issues for the majority of that timeframe.

Similar to feedback in other negative reviews, we’ve also experienced:

*Missing/incorrect items, lack of clear job details/communication and follow up survey reports that don’t resolve issues fully
*Don't believe sales patter - if the salesman gives you contact info, once the deal’s signed you’re on your own
*Even IF you’re lucky and on it enough to get agreement to fix mistakes/damage or do what any reasonable entity would - beware, there’s just more stress
*The communication of an alleged ‘ops mgr/director’ wasn’t worthy of a semi experienced case handler. Of anyone we talked to, if they weren’t aggressive/rude/incompetent, they agreed how awful things in the company are in recent years, but said there’s not much they can do
*Don't trust any contractor if they try to coerce you into paying more for extra work, even if they say it’s legally required. After an electrician swap due to their issues with resource (aka there isn’t really any planning of it) a new one appeared who bullied and conned us out of hundreds. He said things weren’t safe as they were so we trusted him and kept records of money transferred. Despite DMD being made aware months ago, they’ve been too busy trying to recoup what they were ripped off for, to bother even responding to us about this. Despite many promises they would, as usual
*Even when you trust them with sharing a sudden terminal diagnosis in the family, how the stress of a 3 day job becoming months long while your partner’s out of the country and your own health’s now being affected. They don’t treat you in accordance with any TCF recommended by regulators, never mind show a moment of grace toward vulnerability in another human. Even when it’s their actions are also contributing

Since then our circumstances have improved, so we’ve taken our complaint to a regulator. DMD scarily talked enough rings around even the credit company, that our section 75 complaint wasn’t helpful. While it’s of some comfort to know we’re not alone in struggling to deal with this company, someone has to hold them to reasonable account (assuming they don’t become drained with the madness of it all too).

If you really need materials, only ever risk buying & DIY fitting. Some of their contractors might be good at what they do, you might be lucky enough to get them and they might even be allowed to finish your job before being pulled to another - but overall the game of roulette isn’t worth your time or sanity.

Just had a kitchen fitted by Peter and Lazlo. They did an excellent job and went over and above in their work, could not fault them at all. They were charming and courteous and cleaned and tidied up after themselves. They were excellent joiners the company should be proud of them. Also the plumber and electrician were excellent. I would highly recommend this company in fact this is the second kitchen they have fitted for me.

Despite our shower room conversion being a relatively wee project, it gave Naz and Matt plenty to think about. The result however is a fabulous 'wet room'.
Nothing was too much trouble and we trusted their judgement entirely. It was a pleasure having them in our home. Thanks for a great job gentlemen; we shall recommend DM Design to our friends.

Excellent job from start to finish.Peter and Laslo first class kitchen fitters,nothing was too much trouble to them both.Right from the start with Gary Conner,James Faulds starting the process,Russel took care of removing the sink and hob,then when the worktops came Colin(I needed proof of my age to get a drink in New York,aye right anuff Colin) he refitted the hob and sink.George the sparky was first class as well.
All in all can’t fault anybody.First class job.Well done to you all

Got my kitchen fitted by DM Design in 2017. I've had a few problems with my appliances, not the fault of DM Design, and had been fighting with the appliance insurance people. I contacted DM for more info on what to do next and was delighted in the response both times. In 2019 they supplied and fitted a new oven and just last week fitted a new hob that my insurance extended guarantee provider refused to fit. Without a question asked I had someone out the next day!!
Top service even 5 years down the line. Thanks. PS I hope our wee plumber managed to get on his holiday ☺️
