DK did a great job servicing my Nikon gear
DK did a great job servicing my Nikon camera and lens. I can see the care taken in the returned items. I wouldn’t hesitate to send other items for service.
Dysfunctional company
I don't have the energy to list my full experience because it has been so exhausting- I just want my camera back. Departments can't manage to talk to each other re: approved despatch. 1st payment over the phone approved but item not processed. No forthcoming communication/ update. Recent phone conversation involved asking for a guarantee that my item would arrive in the next few working days, as at this point I really didn't trust them. It didn't arrive. I am still waiting. My only option is to go to the small claims court.
Great service!
Really good customer service, really speedy at fixing and returning my camera and making it look as good as new. Very clear on what needed doing and how much it would all cost. Very pleased!
Darren fixed my LG tv in 10 minutes
Darren fixed my LG tv in 10 minutes. Great job and nice man!
Incredible service
Found this company on line and called in on the off chance with a faulty camera. An engineer (Gary I think - sorry!) took my camera to see what the problem was while I waited and returned a while later with a properly functioning camera. This was an obsolete camera with spare parts unavailable yet DK managed to sort. Brilliant service - the kind that I thought was long gone. Absolutely recommend this company. Well done DK

Panasonic Lumix SR1 with broken viewfinder, sent on the 12th feb, repair registered on the tracking system with regular updates, and all communications with them regarding progress responded to. Received back on the 19th feb after a 5 day wait fro replacement viewfinder, all good.
Great Service!
Darren was friendly, tidy, and efficient with our Samsung TV repair. Much appreciated—thanks!

Took my camera there on 27th Dec 24 for repair as DPD did not turn up, when I ordered and paid for this service, asked the man there how long estimate it would take to repair he told me end of Jan 25 I would have my camera back just in case they have to send it off, great news so I thought he told me they would contact me,
End of January came no communication whatsoever from them in the whole month, so I phoned them and no update after 6 weeks of waiting, they told me that they sent it away and will find out what was happening and another week later I phoned again same person answered so I said any update she told me she would find out, I told her she told me that the last week, so i told ner that's what you told me the week prior and you didn't bother, anyway got an estimate that same day, that's not what I expected after 6 weeks, but anyway paid and and camera was repaired within the week, I told them to let me know when I could come and collect but this is the last straw on the receipt they sent it back via DPD and this cost £19 but it was sent back to me via special delivery post via post office, which I asked the post office and they told me it does not cost this via royal mail postage, Think it would be a good idea to contact the customer at some stage to let them know what is happening, so to sum up NO COMMUNICATION FROM THEM WHATSOEVER EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD MY PHONE AND EMAIL,
LOT OF AGGRO JUST TO GET MY CAMERA FIXED,
WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN
Prompt and very efficient service
Prompt and very efficient service. I posted my Lumix GX9 to them on Monday, estimate received and paid on Tuesday, parts obtained, and repaired. Camera received back from them on Saturday. Great work. Many thanks.
Excellent service
Clear instructions for sending item to them. Repaired and sent back in good time and reasonably priced too. Highly rcommended.
Poor and rude customer service
After being put on hold for more than an hour, lady answers the call, says hello and then hangs up the phone.....nice. Definitely would not use just because of this incident.
Darren did a great job

Unprofessional Service and Mishandling Leading to Stolen Sony FX3 Camera
I recently had a highly disappointing experience with DK Avs Ltd regarding the repair of my Sony FX3 camera. I reached out to them to fix an issue with the PAL/NTSC selector, which had been locked to NTSC after a firmware update. Before sending the camera, I clearly confirmed with their team that they could resolve this specific issue.
The process started with numerous failed attempts by their courier to collect the camera, requiring me to rearrange my schedule multiple times. After five failed attempts, the camera was finally collected. However, communication from DK Avs Ltd was poor and inconsistent throughout the process, and I had to repeatedly chase them for updates.
Despite their initial assurance, I was eventually told that they couldn't fix the problem and that I should take it up with the original seller. Worse yet, they acknowledged that Sony had already informed me about the firmware locking the camera to its original NTSC settings—information I had shared with them from the start. Yet, they still proceeded to accept the camera and initiate a repair they could not perform.
David’s email responses were unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of addressing the issues I raised, he focused on suggesting I sell the camera or buy a Lumix camera—advice that was completely irrelevant to the matter at hand. When I pointed out the inconvenience and requested a waiver of the return fee as a goodwill gesture, given all the trouble, my request was denied. His tone lacked empathy, and he repeatedly insinuated that I had withheld important information, which was simply not the case.
To add to the frustration, the camera was sent back via Royal Mail, and instead of ensuring a secure delivery, the package was left unattended in my building. It was stolen soon after. Despite this, DK Avs Ltd did not take responsibility for chasing the theft or ensuring the insurance claim was processed efficiently. I had to handle everything on my own, with no real support from their side.
In summary, my experience with DK Avs Ltd was incredibly frustrating—from poor communication, failed promises, and additional unexpected charges to the ultimate loss of my camera. Their approach was unprofessional, and their lack of accountability left me deeply disappointed. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

DKavs provided an excellent service in…
DKavs provided an excellent service in repairing my LUMIX LX100. The return of my camera was only delayed because of the availability of a spare board from Panasonic. All in the camera was with these guys for 90 days of which 82 was waiting for main CBA. So in reality they turned the repair around in 7 days. A big thank you to Sarah and Holly for help in progressing this with Panasonic. DKavs can’t repair a product if they can’t get a part. So be courteous in your dealings with them. They always provide the option for a refund if you’ve paid upfront allowing you to try elsewhere. All in all a great service from nice people! Well done and thank you.
Seem to have some system issues
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Wish I had read these reviews before sending my camera! Logged my repair online and then sent the camera tracked delivery. 5 days after delivery there is still no acknowledgement of receipt or recognition of my job number. Emails not answered, phone not picked up. Simply a black hole that now has my £700 camera!
EDIT AFTER RESPONSE
Since my initial review I have now established contact with DKAVS. They say that my repair was not registering on their automated job tracking system on their web site, and that they are having trouble with their phone system.
They have also been very responsive with confirming that they have my camera and expediting an estimate.
As a result I have revised my feedback to 3 stars (from 1 star) as they seem well intentioned, but plagued with system issues.

Just had my new 77" sony delivered and installed. Great service by the tech,Richard
Repair? Go anywhere else.
Terrible service from start to finish. 20th June: They didn’t organise the DPD Pink Box collection I paid for, so I complained. A manager came to collect it instead. Then I waited and waited, but received no news. So I went and looked on their web site and the repair was on hold awaiting payment even though the camera had actually been tested and found to be working - maybe it was my batteries and charger after all. 1st August: Anyway, even after paying the £90 ransom money some three weeks ago they still haven’t sent my camera back. I had a live chat conversation with someone called Holly Gooch who was singularly unhelpful, obstructive and just plain rude, and who even tried to break off the conversation by claiming I’d used foul language, which of course I hadn’t - transcript available. Eventually I sent an email via the web form and someone called David emailed me to tell me it’s not a normal thing, and asking for proof I’d paid because the payment wasn’t recorded on their system. Once I’d sent that he said that he’d investigate and get back to me but I’ve heard nothing since.
Repeated IT failures, or just incompetent admin staff? Who knows? It’s the same result in any case.
So… What should I do? Raise a claim for a replacement camera in the small claims court? If you want to give your camera away AND have a two-month-plus nightmare too, choose DKAVS.
Post script: As a result of posting this review, I was contacted again by the manager who had originally collected my camera. He assured me that he’d either get my camera further inspected together with its charger and batteries, or fetch it returned to me once he returns to the office on Monday morning. Which was all very nice, until the bit about amending my review. The trouble is, this is an honest account of my experience with the company so no, I won’t be amending it except to report the return of my camera, should that ever happen.
Not repaired
Panasonic Lumix repair took forever, 63 days. Unit condition on arrival stated as used but we couldn't use it as it wouldn't work in the first place. Updates non existent on any progress. Camera eventually returned not one but three new part replacements, when my son opened the box with the returned camera in and put it together same fault, camera did not recognise lens. Sadly I will think again before buying Panasonic. Camera has been returned for refund.
Panasonic HC-VXF1 camcorder…
My Panasonic HC-VXF1 camcorder developed a fault. The live images would flicker with flashing on the viewing screen and sometimes go black. These images were also recorded on the SD card. I had used the services of DK Audio Visual Services Ltd (DKAVS) before with a fault on an earlier Panasonic camcorder I had and was happy with the service so I had no hesitation in using DKAVS again.
I paid for and arranged for DKAVS to get DPD to collect my camcorder from my home. I received a quotation for the repair and was asked to pay for it. I had constant update messages on DKAVS’s website regarding the repair progress and a final email to advise me that the repair was complete and ready for despatch.
Whilst the cost of the repair was very expensive, I was very happy with the service and expertise carried out by DKAVS.
