Dealing with B and Q online has cost me…
Dealing with B and Q online has cost me several hours of my time and more money. I cannot recommend buying online based on my experience.
Trying to communicate with B and Q to resolve the matter is pointless. I have sent numerous emails and despite originally agreeing to credit me for the additional expense I incurred, that still has not happened. My experience on the whole was as bad as I have ever experienced from a major retailer.

Three awful home deliveries
I've had two home deliveries from B&Q recently. Neither were fulfilled on time.
The first order was delayed by 4 days due to a van being in an accident and this was communicated. This I could accept, these things happen. I would have liked the rearranged delivery earlier but again I was patient thinking they must have a number of deliveries to rearrange.
My next delivery didn't arrive on time and I was told they forgot to ship the whole order.
The item I received on time had no box with it, the box was damaged beyond repair in transit. I took photos and ultimately kept the item as it wasn't damged.
I was given a time 6 days later for the redelivery. I told customer service I thought this was too long and that as it was their fault they needed to rearrange it next day. I was just told this wasn't possible, no other explanation given.
When the rearranged order arrived it was damaged too. I would guess it was damaged in transit given what happend to the other half of my order.
I will never use B&Q home delivery again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Ordered an item via B&Q marketplace, item fullfilled by a third party using Evri as the delivery courier. By Evri by there own admission was left in an unacceptable and unsafe place as such it was stolen. B&Q are not interested hiding behind "the courier has delivered the item" Regardless of how many emails, pictures etc B&Q are not interested in my explanation. So if you buy from them just hope that it's delivered to your door and not dumped where the driver wishes then hide behind "it's delivered".
Missing item not resolved after weeks
I have called up about 5 or 6 times about a missing item and it is still not sorted after 6 weeks!!!
Sends 2 packs of laminate and underlay on two separate diesel vans
My experience was fine my only gripe that's really bugged me is they sent my order in two halves on two separate vans that came the same day. Why send it by two different couriers that's double diesel use double pollution. The even bigger joke is had these items been able to send to branch for pick up was small enough to go in a car. I could of picked them in my electric car

£12 for a delivery that was confirmed for a certain day and even got a notification text saying I would get a message 30 min beforehand from the delivery driver. No delivery turned up and 32 hours later no word from B&Q when they are going to bother turning up.

Poor communication .No text day before confirming delivery…
No text day before confirming delivery slot so I called morning of delivery and was told ( by a very helpful person ) that delivery was booked for afternoon slot 1.30-3.30 and that delivery company would call half hour before actual delivery. I arrived home at 1 to be sure not to miss delivery and it was in my front garden already! ( admittedly in a fairly sensible location).no contact at any point.

I recently ordered three bags of bark on a great offer using the Click & Collect service. The communication was spot on, and I was kept informed every step of the way. When I arrived at the store, the collection point was easy to find and the staff were incredibly friendly. Since the bags were quite heavy, a member of the team went the extra mile and helped load them directly into my boot. Smooth, professional, and very helpful despite how busy it was.

For some reason amazon got involved in delivering the insulation. 1 bag at a time over the course of a week. It all arrived too late and I received countless emails updating me on their progress.
Staff at branch were brilliant as always but seems really over complicated for something that is supposed to simplify matters
