I love Yonex Astrox 100 ZZ . Very nice and smash racket

Returned a squash racket as heavier than advertised. Not Direct Sports fault per se it's the manufacturer's mis-selling, but if unstrung weight as stated on the racket is 145gms, don't advertise as 125gms on the website.
Returns process was good, so I cannot fault them in any other way.
In replying to my query the retailer stated that they contacted the manufacturer and was informed that the 125gms weight was correct - I disagree.
So my advice to anyone considering purchasing the racket is that it is not 125gms unstrung (I weighed it on receipt) but is heavier and is more typical of an older model squash racket that cannot compare with newer, lightweight rackets.

Disappointing experience. I ordered 4 tubes of badminton shuttles and one tube arrived damaged on both ends. I don’t believe this was a delivery issue, as the damaged tube was placed in the middle and only the top and bottom of that specific tube were damaged.

I had paid extra for urgent delivery because I needed the shuttles quickly, so returning them was not a realistic option. Including a return policy sheet doesn’t really help when the customer urgently needs the product they paid extra to receive on time.

Unacceptable quality control before dispatch.

I am astonished at the customer service I received from this company. I can honestly say that I have never felt so mugged off. I bought a Head squash racket and after only six games (not matches, not weeks, not months) the strings came away from the frame. It’s not reasonable to assume anything other than that this was due to a quality issue. I have played for 50 years and never has this happened with the rackets I have used before. I understand that the strings will age and perhaps fail over time, but after just 84 points??? I was made to feel that I was in some way responsible and they wouldn’t replace the racket. I will NEVER be ordering from them again. Shocking attitude. I am taking my case directly to Head.

Bought Merrell boots that I’ve had before. There was no hassle involved and as I was local I collected them which went smoothly, apart from Apple Maps kept giving me directions to Sports direct. I would use again.

Ordered shoes - sizes do no match Babolat size chart, difficult to exchange, takes ages, complicated process received news shoes still to small - link with the order DS14981326 does not work because 'order return already exist'. No call centre opened on Saturday. Would not advise to purchase items you may need to exchange or return.

Excellent service, fast next day delivery. Was sceptical as had seen some negative reviews after I had made my purchase, however I had no need to worry. Competitive price with other online companies, fair shipping cost. Would highly recommend.

I ordered a pair of tennis shoes which came promptly. They were too narrow so I exchanged them and, although I was not able to request the exchange online, when I sent an email they were very helpful in setting up the exchange and I did not have to pay additional postage. The shoes were competitively priced.

Good quality branded product in stock, order handled quickly and correctly, goods arrived as promised. Price was good, respected brand.

DO NOT deal with this business unless you want to get ripped off. They sold me a pair of shorts that were marked and then refused a refund when I returned them. That’s not the type of business that you want to do business with! You have been warned.

Easy and efficient. Website was easy to find what I wanted and make the purchase with a couple of handy options. Delivery was exactly on time.

Both jumper online, 5£ for collection in store (no need delivery but still pay 5 £ for collection) ,then trouble is starting:after collection of my order, try it at home and the jumper is too big ,(always get large size from jd,nike hugo boss, same size,in large always fit me nicely, ) unfortunately one from sport direct look like is made for elephant, even is size medium.,went back to the story and up to the first floor (headrow leeds store ) and surprise is no one of the staff there, (massive shop) ,just no costumers /no staff ,after waiting for 10 /15 min went to the floor above and finally find the some person of staff working for sport direct, just been told the sport direct not care about any online orders and if you want swap you jumper for different size you have to pay 5£again + postage and wait up to 14 days ,just no understand you pay for item then you pay for collection of item when you collecting you self then if item nor fit you you pay for postage back and another 5 for return:WHAT THE POINT FOR BY FROM THEM ONLINE:not any more ;that jumper gone straight to the bin,look like them like sell you item not fitting you and make money on returning. Thanks, no any more ,you can give this bullshit to someone else.will give 0 star but can not doit, so just give 1 star to this scamerrs

I have been using Direct Sports for new tennis rackets, shoes and restrings for many years though was very disappointed with the recent experience following a restring. The restrung racket seemed overly tight with minimal string movement so I decided to try and test its performance which satisfied me that the specified tension was not what I received. Bearing in mind I have been using the same string tension and same string manufacturer for over 7 years I am confident with my opinion that an error had occurred with the string tension for this particular restring. I am very aware rackets loose tension over a period of time and considered this before deciding to raise the matter with Direct Sports.

I called Direct Sports to see if someone could give me advice on what do to and was advised that they were unable to provide any advice over the phone and that I should bring the racket to their facility in Wynyard.

I took a 16 mile round trip to Direct Sports and asked if they had the equipment that sits on the strings to determine the string tension while the strings are in place as I felt the strings were overly taught. I was advised they do not have such equipment and their stringing machines are calibrated weekly.

Direct Sports were unwilling to offer free string replacement.

I am not sure why I had to undertake a 16 mile round trip to be told they were unwilling to offer to resolve the issue.

Over the years I have been really happy with Direct Sports though sadly, when things don't go well, it appears that their customer service falls well short of expectations. Certainly this is my experience on this occasion.

Following Direct Sports Customer Service review on 10th April I have reduced the rating as clearly they have not read my feedback. Direct Sports should note that (as advised in this review) a 16 mile round trip was taken to return my racket to your facility in Wynyard and was advised by your stringing team that it was customer services that refused to offer a replacement to resolve the stringing issue.
